RETROFIT REMOTE CONTROL DEVICES
A control device may be configured to control an amount of power delivered to one or more electrical loads and provide various feedback associated with the control device and/or the electrical loads. The control device may be a wall-mounted device or a battery-powered remote control device. The feedback may indicate the amount of power delivered to the one or more electrical loads. The feedback may also indicate a low battery condition. The control device may include a light bar and/or one or more indicator lights for providing the feedback.
Cooktop and knob assembly thereof
A cooktop includes a knob assembly coupled to a control panel and configured to control a heating part. The knob assembly includes: a knob body disposed at a front surface of the control panel and rotating with respect to a rotation shaft extended in a front-rear direction, a knob ring disposed at a rear side of the knob body and having a diameter greater than a diameter of the knob body, and a light source part disposed at the rear side of the knob body and including one or more light sources irradiating light to the rear side of the knob body. A portion of a rear surface of the knob body includes a first reflective surface reflecting light, and a portion of a surface of the knob ring includes a second reflective surface reflecting light, the portion of the surface of the knob ring facing the knob body.
RETROFIT REMOTE CONTROL DEVICE
Remote control devices may control electrical loads and/or load control devices of a load control system without accessing electrical wiring. The remote control device may be mounted over a mechanical switch that is installed in a wallbox. The remote control device may include a control unit and a faceplate assembly. The faceplate assembly may include a mounting frame, an adapter plate, and a faceplate. The mounting frame may be configured to abut a bezel of the mechanical switch such that that the faceplate is spaced away from the bezel of the mechanical switch to enable the mounting ring to extend through respective openings in the adapter plate and the faceplate.
Gas cooking appliance with ignition position indicator
A cooking appliance and method generate an audible and/or visual indication to a user when a user control for a gas burner is in a position within which an igniter is active and a gas valve is supplying sufficient gas flow to the gas burner to support ignition and thereby assist a user in properly positioning the user control during ignition of the burner.
Operating device with optical finger navigation module for a steering wheel
An operating device having an optical finger navigation module for installation in a steering wheel of a motor vehicle, which allows for secure operation and can be produced at low cost, is disclosed. The operating device has a mounting frame, in which a first light guiding element and the optical finger navigation module is held by a light sealing element. The light sealing element is mounted by a snap connection on the mounting frame. The mounting frame has at least one guide element with which a movement of the mounting frame can be guided.
Illuminated control knob
A knob assembly includes a knob, a light assembly, a light socket, and a receptacle. The light assembly includes a light diffuser, a light source, and a light connector prong. Light from the light source is transmitted through the light diffuser. The light connector prong is electrically connected to the light source to provide power to the light source when the knob is rotated. The light socket includes a socket housing, a light connector aperture wall, an electrical connector aperture wall, and an internal conductor. The light connector prong is mounted within the light connector aperture wall. A power connector prong connectable to a power source is mounted within the electrical connector aperture wall. The connector housing of the receptacle is configured to house the light socket. The light connector prong is inserted into the light connector aperture wall through a first wall of the device.
Optical signaling system for a smart-home device
Various arrangements for light distribution incorporated as part of a device are presented. A circular light guide may be used that receives light from a plurality of light emitters that can be arranged in a circular pattern. A conical reflector may be used and may be positioned to reflect light emitted from the circular light guide onto an exterior of a case of the device. The conical reflector may reflect light such that light is reflected by the exterior of the case in the shape of a halo into an ambient environment of the device.
OPERATING DEVICE FOR A DOMESTIC APPLIANCE HAVING A ROTARY RING AND HAVING A LIGHT STRIP
An operating device for a domestic appliance includes an operating element having a rotary ring to set operating conditions of the domestic appliance according to a rotary movement, and an electronic display area enclosed by the rotary ring. An optical light strip in a form of a circumferential ring is arranged adjacent to and separate from the rotary ring to indicate visually a length of a rotary path travelled by the rotary ring in a rotary movement.
Selection Controller for an Audio Control Device, Audio Control Device and Vehicle
A selection controller for manual selection of an operating mode and/or operating characteristics of an audio control device is disposed within an interior of a vehicle. The selection controller includes a selector element that is designed to allow a user to make the manual selection. The selecting element can be arranged at least in a first position that is not elevated from a control surface of the audio control device and in a second position that is elevated from the control surface of the audio control device.
Operating panel device
An operating panel device includes an operating ring, and a display device which is disposed to face a back surface of the operating ring. The display device includes a first portion, a second portion, and a third portion. The first portion is located inside the operating ring, and the second portion is located outside the operating ring. The third portion connects the first portion and the second portion. A display of the first portion changes in conjunction with a rotational operation applied to the operating ring.
