Lighting apparatus
A lighting apparatus for use as a surgical headlamp is disclosed. A light emitting diode is positioned in a recess within a frustoconical, thermally-conductive heat sink that has a several circumferential ridges to provide a desired surface area for heat transfer. The diode and the heat sink are provided in a housing that also includes a fan for drawing ambient air into the housing to contact the heat sink and exhausting heated air. A lens is snap-fit into a slide that frictionally engages the interior of the housing, allowing a user to adjust the spacing between the light emitting diode and the lens as desired. Personal cooling apparatuses usable with the lighting apparatus are also described. Auxiliary undergown switches are also described as are personal cooling apparatuses.
THERMAL LINER
A protective garment comprises a thermal liner, a moisture barrier, and an outer shell. The thermal liner includes one or more augmented portions located at predetermined areas to enhance thermal properties of the thermal liner, and thereby the protective garment. In some embodiments, the augmented portions of the thermal liner each comprise an enhanced thermal layer and at least one of a facecloth layer and a first insulation layer.

PLEATED PROTECTIVE CLOTHING
Provided is a pleated protective clothing worn by a worker in order to protect a body of a worker from an external environment and maintain a clean work environment, the pleated protective clothing including: a hood portion configured to cover a head of a worker; an upper body portion connected with the hood portion and configured to surround an upper body of the worker; and a hood pleated portion formed in a portion connecting the hood portion and the upper body portion and having elasticity.
Cooling garments, warming garments, and related methods
The present disclosure generally relates to intelligent garments that provide thermal regulation in a variety of environments. The garments may include different layers such as a hydrophobic layer in direct contact with a wearer's skin surface and saturated with an aqueous mixture, a spacer layer, a reflective layer, and an outer hydrophobic layer. The layers of the garment may work together to reduce the metabolic expenditure of the wearer in extreme environmental conditions or during demanding physical activity. A variety of sensors may be displaced throughout the garments so as to enable the collection of data associated with wearers as well as environmental conditions. Wearers may control the thermal balance and other properties of the garments as desired.

BALLISTIC AND ATHLETIC PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
Ballistic and athletic personal protective equipment utilizing rigid panel(s) featuring designs for improved cooling employing “stack effect” airflow in combination with optimized wearer contact surface geometry. Improved ballistic and athletic personal protective equipment designs contain rigid panel(s) for protection of wearer from impacts, ballistic threats and the like. The equipment is provided with spacers arranged to provide a stack effect powered airflow between rigid panel(s) and wearer, cooling the same. The spacers are further designed, dimensioned and arranged to provide optimal heat transfer and mass transfer efficiency from wearer to cooling air within the protective equipment system, providing optimal cooling effects. The system is simple, light, and inexpensive, providing improved wearer comfort and safety from hyperthermia for optimal performance at elevated temperatures.
SYSTEM FOR RECIRCULATING WARM AIR
A recirculating warm air system configured to connect to an air inflatable product is provided. The system includes a first chamber and a second chamber. The first chamber includes a first air inlet and a first valve located at the first air inlet. The second chamber includes a second valve located between the first chamber and the second chamber, an air outlet, and a first hose connected to the air outlet. The second chamber further includes an air blower and a heater located between the air blower and the air outlet. The second chamber includes a second air inlet, a third valve located at the second air inlet, and a second hose connected to the second air inlet. The first hose and the second hose are configured to connect to the air inflatable product. The system further includes a processing unit configured to control elements of the system.
Incompressible moisture-scavenging article
Articles and insulating systems include a wicking layer, an incompressible insulation layer, and a water scavenging system comprising a superhydrophobic layer in operative communication with one or more water collecting components.
GARMENT BODY OF FAN-EQUIPPED GARMENT AND FAN-EQUIPPED GARMENT
A garment body of a fan-equipped garment includes: an outer cloth in which a fan mount part is formed, the fan mount part being configured to receive a fan; and an inner cloth disposed closer to a wearer than the outer cloth. An air-through part is formed only at a hem part of the garment body, the air-through part connecting a space between the outer cloth and the inner cloth and a space at an inner surface side of the inner cloth.
