EYEGLASS AUGMENTED REALITY SPEECH TO TEXT DEVICE AND METHOD
20230238001 · 2023-07-27 ·

A method and apparatus to assist people with hearing loss. An augmented reality device with microphones and a display captures speech of a person talking to the wearer of the device and displays real-time captions in the wearer's field of view, while optionally not captioning the wearer's own speech. The microphone system in this apparatus inverts the use of microphones in augmented reality devices by analyzing and processing environmental sounds while ignoring the wearer's own voice.

A device may include a housing including an accommodating cavity and an insertion opening configured to allow insertion of a detector into the accommodating cavity. The device may also include a locking mechanism configured to prevent the detector from leaving the accommodating cavity. The device may also include a charging assembly arranged on the housing. The charging assembly may include a charging head and an elastic element configured to drive the charging head away from a charging port of the detector.

Methods and Electronic Devices Enabling a Dual Content Presentation Mode of Operation

A method in an electronic device comprises detecting, with one or more sensors, a geometry or geometric form factor of the electronic device. One or more processors then enable, in response to detecting the geometric form factor, a dual content presentation mode of operation allowing presentation of first content on a first display of the electronic device and second content on a second display where the first content and the second content are different.

NETWORK-CAPABLE DOCKING STATION

A method performed by a docking station operable in a plurality of modes is disclosed. The method may include obtaining first data via a first interface of the docking station and second data via a second interface of the docking station, responsive to operating in a first mode of the plurality of modes. The first interface may be configured to couple the docking station to a computing device, and the second interface may be configured to communicate with a network. The method may also include obtaining third data via the second interface of the docking station, in lieu of the first interface, responsive to operating in a second mode of the plurality of modes. The method may further include selectively outputting the first data and the second data, or the third data, to a display based on whether the docking station operates in the first mode or the second mode.

MOUNTING APPARATUS FOR DISPLAYING SCREEN OF ELECTRONIC APPARATUS THROUGH HOLOGRAM
20230007116 · 2023-01-05 ·

A mounting apparatus may include: a mounting part on which a part of an external electronic apparatus is mounted; a film part connected to the mounting part; a near field wireless communication module; and a processor, wherein the processor may be configured to: detect a mounting state of the external electronic apparatus; determine whether the mounted external electronic apparatus is an apparatus supporting a holographic mode; and on the basis of the determined result, control to transmit a transmission signal to the external electronic apparatus by using the near field wireless communication module so that the external electronic apparatus outputs a hologram content by using at least a part of a display of the external electronic apparatus, and the hologram content output by the external electronic apparatus can be projected on the film part. Various other embodiments may be possible.

ELECTRONIC DEVICE

An electronic device of the present disclosure includes: one or more wireless communication modules that transmit and receive radio waves to and from an external device; an output controller that controls outputs of the one or more wireless communication modules; a state detector that detects a use state of the electronic device; and an identification (ID) identifier that identifies ID information. The output controller controls the outputs of the one or more wireless communication modules based on the use state detected by the state detector and the ID information identified by the ID identifier.

Systems, methods and devices for native and virtualized video in a hybrid docking station
11567537 · 2023-01-31 · ·

A hybrid docking station determines whether native video data exists and can be passed through to a video port or whether a virtual video processor should be activated to provide virtual video data to a video port. For example, a laptop is connected to a hybrid docking station using a USB™ 3.0 connection. The hybrid docking station recognizes that the USB™ 3.0 connection includes a native video data and passes the native video data to a DisplayPort™. By avoiding activating a virtualized video processor and using native video data, the laptop avoids installing software to communicate with the virtualized video processor and communicates with one or more displays using a native video channel. By avoiding installing software, it simplifies IT's and user's usage and experience with universal docking station.

Techniques for processing recorded data using docked recording devices
11568233 · 2023-01-31 · ·

Various embodiments of the present disclosure increase the technical utility of a recording device and local recording device system by enabling a recording device to use a machine learning model to process media content received from a separate recording device. This allows a machine learning model to be used to process media content at a local system without a remote network connection or independent of whether a remote computing system is available over a network connection. Many embodiments eliminate the need for a separate computing device altogether for purposes of using a machine learning model. Embodiments of the present disclosure also decrease the time required to complete processing of a media file by processing the media file in parallel among multiple recording devices and/or by eliminating time associated with uploading a media file to cloud-based system and receiving one or more output values back from the cloud-based system.
