INFORMATION HANDLING SYSTEM DOCKING STATION GLASS HOUSING HAVING AN INTEGRATED ANTENNA

A portable information handling system or docking station glass ceramic housing integrates antenna conductive wires in a first glass ceramic piece and a director conductive wire in a second glass ceramic piece coupled to the first ceramic glass piece, such as with optically-clear adhesive. A conductive contact interfaces the antenna conductive wire by exposure at the glass ceramic housing interior where pogo pins of a printed circuit board assembly bias against the conductive contacts to communicate the radio signals. The director conductive wire provides a parasitic element for directional control of the wireless signal. Ground conductive wires may integrate in the exterior side of the second glass ceramic piece and interface with the radio to provide a dipole antenna.

An apparatus for mounting an object having one or more electrical contacts within a vehicle, the object. The apparatus comprises a base configured to receive the object, the base comprising a mounting surface and a docking surface. A docking connector is coupled to the docking surface and is configured to electrically connect with the one or more electrical contacts of the object. The docking connector is movable relative to the docking surface between a first position and a second position. When the docking connector is electrically connected with the one or more electrical contacts of the object, a second main surface of the object is positioned obliquely relative to the mounting surface in the first position of the docking connector and the second main surface of the object is aligned in contact with the mounting surface in the second position of the docking connector.

System and method for through window personal cloud transmission

A radio frequency (RF) front end device has a signal traveling from a first antenna to a second antenna in an uplink path and a signal traveling from a third antenna to a fourth antenna in a downlink path. The device is under the control of automatic on/off controller (AOOC) which upon receiving a signal indication from a receive signal detector and amplifier (RSDA) turns on the operations of power amplifier (PA) and simultaneously turns off a low noise amplifier (LNA). This LNA is turned off when the power amplifier is turned on to prevent uplink path and downlink path forming a feedback loop which would result in oscillation, noise and interference.

A rotatable docking station includes a swivel mount assembly for rotational mounting of an electronic device. The swivel mount assembly includes an insertable part to be inserted into an opening in a structure and a lip part. A securing body secures the assembly body to a surface of the structure. A rotatable body includes another insertable part to be inserted into an opening in the insertable part of the assembly body, a plate part, side walls with at least one side aperture, and a platform part. At least one first roller directs a cable extending through an opening in the another insertable part into a volume disposed between the plate part and the platform part. At least one second roller directs the further cable to pass through the at least one side aperture.
