Dial Control for Addition and Reversal Operations
In one example, a method for modifying input with a dial includes creating a queue of input actions corresponding to one or more atomic operations for an application. The method can also include detecting a dial action from a dial, the dial action indicating a reversal operation for removing at least one input action from the queue of input actions or an addition operation for adding at least one input action to the queue of input actions. Furthermore, the method can include generating an intermediate representation of the one or more atomic operations based on the dial action from the dial.
COLLABORATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Known computer peripheral devices are typically interchangeable and can be used with different computers systems and platforms. Most computer operating systems are able to automatically configure the coupled computer peripheral device for use with the computer operating system without the need for installation of a specific driver. However, when these peripheral devices are detected by the computer system, a generic UI control configuration is often assigned to them and whatever customised settings previously configured by the user will be lost and replaced with a new set of unfamiliar settings. The present technology is a collaboration management system initiating a collaboration session for a plurality of computing systems having user-interfaces (UIs) coupled thereto. The collaboration management system discovers the device profiles corresponding to the UIs for extracting corresponding configuration specific to each of the UIs for configuring interactions between the UIs and an application operating during the collaboration session.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROVIDING SEARCH FUNCTION IN TOUCH-SENSITIVE DEVICE
A method and apparatus for a search function are provided in a touch-sensitive device that supports a search for contents in a list view by using a dedicated keypad displayed in the list view. In the method, the apparatus displays the dedicated keyboard for a content search in the list view, and performs the content search in the list view in response to an interaction inputted on the dedicated keyboard. The apparatus then displays at least one execution item associated with at least one found content, and executes the content associated with a selected one among the at least one execution item.
MULTI-CHANNEL PERIPHERAL INTERCONNECT SUPPORTING SIMULTANEOUS VIDEO AND BUS PROTOCOLS
A method includes generating, by a control unit of a first device, a handshaking signal to be transmitted to a second device via a second channel. The method further includes based on the handshaking signal being acknowledged by the second device, configuring, by the control unit, the second channel to communicate non-display data and configuring a first channel connecting the first device to the second device to selectively communicate either display data or non-display data; and based on the handshaking signal being not acknowledged by the second device, configuring, by the control unit, the first channel to communicate display data.
CURSOR OPERATION METHOD AND DEVICE FOR INPUT METHOD
Cursor operation methods and devices for input method are disclosed. According to the method, in an interface of a common candidate word selection mode of an input method, switching to an edit string cursor slide mode or a candidate column cursor slide mode is allowed, and, after entering the edit string cursor slide mode or the candidate column cursor slide mode, switching between the two modes is allowed. In the edit string cursor slide mode, sliding of the position of the cursor in an edit string is allowed by slide operation in an input area, and operations such as editing can be performed on the edit string. In the candidate item cursor slide mode, sliding of the position of the cursor in a candidate item string is allowed by slide operation in the input area.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, COMPUTER PROGRAM, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
An information processing apparatus includes: an operating unit capable of recognizing a peripheral apparatus. The operating unit includes: a first recognizing unit configured to recognize, when a peripheral apparatus is connected to the operating unit and identification information about the connected peripheral apparatus is included in peripheral apparatus information including predetermined identification information, the connected peripheral apparatus as a first peripheral apparatus; and a second recognizing unit configured to recognize, when a peripheral apparatus is connected to the operating unit and the identification information about the connected peripheral apparatus is not included in the peripheral apparatus information, the connected peripheral apparatus as a second peripheral apparatus.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR EXECUTING APPLICATION FOR MOBILE DEVICE
The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for executing a desired application on any screen of a mobile device by a simple operation without switching a screen. The apparatus for executing an application for a mobile device according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a text input unit; an application recognition unit for recognizing an application to be executed; a message recognition unit for recognizing an operation message to be performed in the application to be executed on the basis of the text which is inputted through the text input unit; a transmission instruction sensing unit for sensing an operation message transmission instruction of a user; a message transfer unit for transferring the operation message to the application when the transmission instruction sensing unit senses the operation message transmission instruction; and an application execution unit for executing the operation message transferred by the message transfer unit.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR BIOMECHANICALLY-BASED EYE SIGNALS FOR INTERACTING WITH REAL AND VIRTUAL OBJECTS
Systems and methods are provided for discerning the intent of a device wearer primarily based on movements of the eyes. The system may be included within unobtrusive headwear that performs eye tracking and controls screen display. The system may also utilize remote eye tracking camera(s), remote displays and/or other ancillary inputs. Screen layout is optimized to facilitate the formation and reliable detection of rapid eye signals. The detection of eye signals is based on tracking physiological movements of the eye that are under voluntary control by the device wearer. The detection of eye signals results in actions that are compatible with wearable computing and a wide range of display devices.
Apparatus and method for managing operations of accessories
A system that incorporates teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, a computing device having a controller to present a plurality of associable actions and a plurality of accessories of distinct operational types, associate an action with an input function of a select one of the plurality of accessories, monitor the selected accessory for a stimulation of the input function, and transmit the action to an operating system to launch a first software application or to convey to a second software application the action or an aspect of the action. Additional embodiments are disclosed.
