STORAGE MEDIUM STORING COMPUTER PROGRAM, MANAGEMENT METHOD, AND MANAGEMENT APPARATUS
This specification discloses a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a set of program instructions for a computer configured to manage rental printers. The computer includes a controller and a memory. The set of program instructions, when executed by the controller, causes the computer to perform: referring to history information indicating a printer use history of each of a plurality of users; and determining, for a part of a target printer to be rented to a target user, whether the part satisfies a replacement condition by using the history information and a scheduled rental period. The scheduled rental period is a rental period during which the target printer is scheduled to be rented. The replacement condition indicates that the part should be replaced before the target printer is rented to the target user.
Information processing apparatus registering redo or erroneous process request
An information processing apparatus includes a process request history registration unit that registers at least one of information, which indicates that a current process request is a redo process request, or information, which indicates that a past process request pertaining to a target document is an erroneous process request, in process request history in a case where a process setting for the past process request pertaining to the target document, which is a past document identical or similar to a current document that is a target of the current process request, included in the process request history including the process setting for the past process request and information which indicates the past document that is a target of the past process request, is different from a process setting for the current process request.
Image forming system for designating exception for specific page and non-transitory computer readable medium storing program
An image forming system includes an acquisition unit that acquires setting information indicating an execution condition which is set to execute printing from printing instruction information for giving an instruction for execution of the printing, a first designation unit that designates an execution condition which is different from the execution condition related to the setting information acquired from the printing instruction information as an exception for plural specific page images included in the printing instruction information, and a second designation unit that repeatedly designates the exception designated by the first designation unit every number of pages of the plural specific page images for plural page images other than the plural specific page images.
PRINT SYSTEM, PRINTING APPARATUS AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
The present invention provides a printing apparatus for performing printing in accordance with a print job transmitted from an information processing apparatus. The printing apparatus receives information related to a setting that is able to be configured in the information processing apparatus and stores constraint information regarding the printing apparatus. The printing apparatus notifies the information processing apparatus of a constraint condition obtained by narrowing down the stored constraint information, based on the information related to the setting, and on attribute information related to the information processing apparatus or the printing apparatus.
Imaging method, imaging device and imaging system for verifying mobile terminal identification and selecting appropriate imaging device
An imaging method, an imaging device and an imaging system are provided. The imaging method includes: when receiving a terminal identification sent by a mobile terminal and directed to the mobile terminal, sending, by an imaging device, an imaging request message to a cloud server. The imaging request message includes the terminal identification and a communication parameter for communicating with the mobile terminal, used for the cloud server to verify identity of the mobile terminal according to the terminal identification and, after the identity verification is successfully passed and according to the communication parameter, to determine one imaging device, among all imaging devices that send imaging request messages, to perform an imaging task, and to send an imaging job to the one imaging device: and when receiving the imaging job sent by the cloud server, performing, by the imaging device, the imaging task according to the imaging job.
STATE MONITORING IN PRINTER SYSTEM
A printer system includes a host computer and a printer connected via a communication line. The host computer includes a first communication interface connected to the printer, a first display, and a first control unit configured to perform a first monitoring operation to determine operation states of the host computer and the printer and a communication state of the communication line in association with a monitored time, and control the first display to display a result of the first monitoring operation. The printer includes a second communication interface connected to the host computer, a second display, and a second control unit configured to perform a second monitoring operation to determine operation states of the host computer and the printer and a communication state of the communication line in association with a monitored time, and control the second display to display a result of the second monitoring operation.
Non-transitory processor readable medium storing printer program, terminal, and method of controlling terminal to control a printer according to a URL scheme
A non-transitory processor readable medium storing a printer program read out and executed by a terminal processor of a tablet terminal connectable to a printer, in which the printer program causes the terminal processor to acquire received URL scheme information, which is structured according to a URL scheme and in which predetermined control of the printer is specified, from a browser application, convert the received URL scheme information into a control command executable by the printer, and transmit the converted control command to the printer.
Systems, processes, and computer program products for delivery of printed paper by robot
Embodiments provide automatic printing and delivery of a printed document from a virtual reality (VR) environment. The printed document may be delivered to the user while preserving the user's immersion within a virtual reality session. A printed-out copy of the document may be physically delivered to the user by a robot. In some embodiments, a virtual reality server may coordinate requests for printed documents, provide print and delivery status updates within the VR space, and control the robot's path to the delivery site.
Print system, printing apparatus and method of controlling the same, and storage medium
A printing apparatus receives a request for combinations of print settings that conflict with each other and information related to an information processing apparatus from the information processing apparatus, notifies the information processing apparatus of one or more combinations obtained by narrowing down, based on the received information, the stored plurality of combinations of print settings that conflict with each other, and receives print settings from the information processing apparatus. In addition, it is determined whether or not the received print settings include print settings that conflict with each other, based on at least one combination that is combinations stored in the one or more memories and different from the notified one or more combinations.
Waking an electronic device, such as a printer, from a sleep mode based on a user policy and proximity
Apparatus and method relating generally to controlling operation of one or more managed devices, such as printers, are disclosed. In such method, a radio frequency identification tag of a plurality of radio frequency identification tags within a first range is detected by a radio frequency identification reader of a printer. Tag information for the radio frequency identification tag is sent to a server. The tag information for a user is mapped to a user list on the server. A check for a policy for the user is made. The printer is waked from a sleep mode for operation by the user responsive to a determination the user is likely to use the printer responsive to the policy.
