UECC failure handling method
A data storage device includes a memory device having a plurality of blocks and a controller coupled to the memory device. The controller is configured to determine that an uncorrectable error correction code (UECC) failure has occurred to a block of the plurality of blocks, enable a UECC anti-strike mechanism, and erase the block. The UECC anti-strike mechanism comprises converting a read failure associated with the block to an erase failure. The controller is further configured to retire the block upon determining that the erase is unsuccessful.
Shift left model execution in software delivery
Disclosed herein a system, method, and computer program product for providing proactive guidance to users in order to execute a shift left model in software delivery. As disclosed, a processor may receive an issue resolution request. The processor may further access an issue resolution request repository where the issue resolution request repository may include details related to prior issue resolution requests. The processor may subsequently classify the issue resolution request based on the details related to the prior issue resolution requests. Accordingly, the processor may identify a root cause for the issue resolution request.
Apparatuses, computer-implemented methods, and computer program products for improved data event root cause identification and remediation
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide improved identification and handling of root causes for data event(s). Some embodiments improve the accuracy of determinations of a root cause or likely order of root causes of a data event affecting any number of system(s), and cause transmission of data associated with such root cause(s) for use in triaging such data event(s) and/or facilitating efficient servicing to resolve the data event. Some embodiments utilize modified centrality algorithm(s) to efficiently and accurately identify a likely root cause of a data event in a computing environment. Some embodiments generate and/or output notifications that indicate the particular computing system(s) identified as a root cause of a data event, and/or the particular computing system(s) identified not as a root cause but affected by a data event of the root cause computing system.
SYSTEM, METHOD, APPARATUS, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT FOR PROVIDING MOBILE DEVICE SUPPORT SERVICES
A method is provided for providing mobile device support services. The method may include monitoring a mobile device status. The method may additionally include performing device diagnostics based at least in part on captured deice status data to identify potential faults that may affect mobile device functionality. A corresponding system, apparatus, and computer program product are also provided.
ROLL BACK OF DATA DELTA UPDATES
Disclosed embodiments relate to adjusting vehicle Electronic Control Unit (ECU) software versions. Operations may include receiving a prompt to adjust an ECU of a vehicle from executing a first version of ECU software to a second version of ECU software; configuring, in response to the prompt and based on a delta file corresponding to the second version of ECU software, the second version of ECU software on the ECU in the vehicle for execution; and configuring, in response to the prompt, the first version of ECU software on the ECU in the vehicle to become non-executable.
ERROR EVALUATION FOR A MEMORY SYSTEM
Methods, systems, and devices for error evaluation for a memory system are described. A memory device may be configured to monitor access errors of the memory device to evaluate a likelihood that such errors are related to a failure of the memory device itself or to a failure outside the memory device. For example, a memory device may monitor a respective quantity of errors for each of a set of banks and, if the memory device detects that multiple banks are associated with a threshold quantity of access errors, the memory device may infer the presence of a failure outside the memory device. The memory device may store an indication of such a detection, which may be used to support failure diagnosis or resolution efforts, such as refraining from replacing a memory device when access errors are more likely to be the result of a system failure.
Classifying errors in a failure log
Techniques are disclosed relating to a method that includes accessing, by a failure management program, a failure log that includes a plurality of character strings corresponding to errors that are associated with execution of one or more batch processes. The failure management program may compare a particular character string of the plurality of character strings to a set of character strings that are associated with respective ones of a plurality of failure categories. This comparing may include determining whether particular keywords that are included in respective ones of the set of character strings are included in the particular character string. In response to the comparing, the failure management program may assign a particular error corresponding to the particular character string to a particular failure category, or may determine a new failure category if the particular character string does not match an existing failure category.
COMPENSATING FOR SIGNAL LOSS AT A PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD
Compensating for signal loss, including determining a first expected loss at a first frequency and a second expected loss at a second frequency at a receiver associated with a first lane of a PCB; calculating an expected rate of change of signal loss between the first and the second frequencies based on the first and the second expected losses; calculating a first measured loss of a first signal transmitted at the first frequency and a second measured loss of a second signal transmitted at the second frequency from a transmitter to the receiver along the first lane of the PCB; calculating a measured rate of change of signal loss between the first and second frequencies based on the first and the second measured losses; comparing the measured rate of change with the expected rate of change; compensating a gain of a signal transmitted from the transmitter to the receiver.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROACTIVELY RESOLVING APPLICATION UPGRADE ISSUES USING A DEVICE EMULATION SYSTEM OF A CUSTOMER ENVIRONMENT
A method for managing a client environment includes obtaining, by a remediation orchestrator, a remediation request associated with a failed application upgrade on an emulation of a client device; in response to the remediation request: obtaining a remediation policy associated with the application upgrade; obtaining application upgrade information associated with the application upgrade; identifying remediation steps to service the remediation request using the application upgrade information and the remediation policy; and initiating performance of the application upgrade and the remediation steps on the client device.
Error recovery in digital communications
Electronic communications between a client device and a server device are improved by providing a middleware component that incorporates electronic data read and/or written to a database in a hybrid data structure. The hybrid structure is further designed to allow for “NULL” or other pre-defined data values when one or more data fields are unavailable or erroneous. The client device, in turn, can be configured to check for the pre-defined data values in certain fields and to gracefully process such values. The hybrid structure with pre-defined error values therefore provides for very efficient data transmittal and processing, while retaining the ability to handle errors or other unusual situations relating to the data.
