System performance evaluation and enhancement in a software-defined system
Performance of devices can be evaluated and enhanced in software-defined systems. For example, a computing device can receive, at a server of a software-defined system, a first plurality of properties describing a client system in the software-defined system. The computing device can compare, by the server, the first plurality of properties to additional properties describing at least one additional client system in the software-defined system. The computing device can determine, by the server, an adjustment for the client system based on the comparison and a similarity of the client system to each of the at least one additional client system. The computing device can output, by the server, an indication of the adjustment to the client system.
System for monitoring networked computing devices with integrated electronic data encryption and decryption mechanism
A system for monitoring networked computing devices with integrated electronic data encryption and decryption mechanism is provided. In particular, the system may comprise one or more host applications which may interact with an API layer to transmit encrypted host-related data through a secure data rails to a consolidated data repository. One or more downstream monitoring applications may retrieve and decrypt the host-related data from the consolidated data repository for analysis. In this way, the system may provide a secure, scalable way to monitor host computing systems and flow of sensitive electronic data.
Configuration optimization with performance prediction
An information handling system may include at least one processor; and a non-transitory memory coupled to the at least one processor. The information handling system may be configured to: execute a plurality of virtual machines having workloads associated therewith; during selected times, apply a plurality of configuration settings relating to the at least one processor while executing the workloads of the plurality of virtual machines; track a plurality of performance metrics relating to the at least one processor during the selected times; and predictively determine a selected one of the plurality of configuration settings that is predicted to improve performance of the workloads.
Intelligent and automatic load balancing of workloads on replication appliances based on appliance load scores
Various systems and methods are provided in which a replication process is initiated between a primary site and a recovery site, each having plurality of gateway appliances. Replication loads are evaluated for each given gateway appliance of the plurality of gateway appliances. If a determination is made that at least one gateway appliance of the plurality of gateway appliances is not overloaded, the plurality of gateway appliances are sorted based on replication loads respectively associated with each gateway appliance, and a determination is made as to whether a relative difference in replication loads between a gateway appliance having a highest replication load and a gateway appliance having a lowest replication load exceeds a difference threshold to determine whether the replication workloads between the gateway appliances should be rebalanced.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING CONTINUING ACCESS TO A REMOTE COMPUTER PROGRAM
Systems and methods are provided for using a file-sharing service to identify, execute, and provide continuing access to remote computer programs. In certain embodiments, a list of files to be accessed remotely is provided to a first device, a selection is received from a user at the first device identifying a file from the provided list, and an application is executed on a second device to access a copy of the identified file, which is synchronized with a file-sharing service.
OUTPUT DEVICE, DATA STRUCTURE, OUTPUT METHOD, AND OUTPUT PROGRAM
An output device 10 is provided with an output unit 11 for outputting, on the basis of job feature information indicating the features of the job of a distributed processing system, estimation model application information that is information in a format suitable for an estimation model that estimates the amount of computer resources required for processing a task constituting the job. The estimation model application information may include word-containing information having binary information that indicates whether or not a character string indicated by the character string information included in the job feature information includes a prescribed word. The estimation model application information may include numerical inversion label information having, as string label information, a value derived by converting, by a prescribed function, the numeric value indicated by the numerical information included in the job feature information.
MANAGEMENT COMPUTER AND COMPUTER SYSTEM MANAGEMENT METHOD
The management computer stores a configuration information of a storage, a configuration information of a host computer and a VM, an information on a service level of the VM, and a performance information of a storage subsystem and a network. If an access path that the host computer uses to access a volume is changed in response to a change of storage configuration, an I/O performance of the VM operating in the host computer may be changed. If the change of state of the storage is detected, the management computer calculates a change of state of whether a service level defined for the VM is satisfied, and selects an appropriate host computer in which the VM should be operated.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR IMPLEMENTING AN OPERATING SYSTEM HOOK IN A LOG ANALYTICS SYSTEM
Disclosed is a system, method, and computer program product for implementing a log analytics method and system that can configure, collect, and analyze log records in an efficient manner. An improved approach is provided for identifying log files that have undergone a change in status that would require retrieve of its log data, by including a module directly into the operating system that allows the log collection component to be reactively notified of any changes to pertinent log files.
Modes of Policy Participation for Feedback Instances
Concepts and technologies disclosed herein are directed to modes of policy participation for feedback instances. According to one aspect, a system can receive an event associated with an active feedback instance operating in a runtime. The system can map the event to a policy participation level policy. The system can determine a new policy participation level for the active feedback instance according to the policy participation level policy.
DYNAMICALLY CHANGING INPUT DATA STREAMS PROCESSED BY DATA STREAM LANGUAGE PROGRAMS
An instrumentation analysis system processes data streams by executing instructions specified using a data stream language program. The data stream language allows users to specify a search condition using a find block for identifying the set of data streams processed by the data stream language program. The set of identified data streams may change dynamically. The data stream language allows users to group data streams into sets of data streams based on distinct values of one or more metadata attributes associated with the input data streams. The data stream language allows users to specify a threshold block for determining whether data values of input data streams are outside boundaries specified using low/high thresholds. The elements of the set of data streams input to the threshold block can dynamically change. The low/high threshold values can be specified as data streams and can dynamically change.
