The states may include an access state in which the controller accesses the nonvolatile memory devices according to a request from an external host device, a standby state in which the controller is ready to perform the request from the external host device, a device fail state in which the controller and the nonvolatile memory devices cannot operate, and a replacement state in which the controller and the nonvolatile memory devices are selected for replacement.

Cabinet type on-site monitoring device and monitoring method thereof

The present disclosure illustrates a cabinet type on-site monitoring device, which comprises a monitoring module and a positioning mechanism, and monitoring method thereof. The monitoring module can automatically detect an electric apparatus installed inside a cabinet for monitoring, and a main body can be combined on a casing structure, or the casing structure is movably pivoted on a cabinet door by using a positioning component and hang holes or a through hole on a support. Manager can watch the monitoring device via window or directly to look over current operation status of respective electric apparatus without opening the cabinet door. A sound or visible warning action is performed when the monitoring module automatically detects and gets real-time status data of any of electric apparatus exceeding a setting normal range, so as to increase convenience and flexibility of on-site immediate management, and keep the electric apparatus operate more efficiently.

Server monitoring device and server monitoring system

[Problem] To provide a server monitoring device capable of grasping the state of a server more rapidly than conventional ones, and a server monitoring system. [Solution] This server monitoring device has a configuration in which a plurality of optical fibers are optically coupled to a plurality of light-emitting elements each showing the operating state of a server by a lighting mode, and the end surfaces of the plurality of optical fibers on the opposite side to the light-emitting elements are secured in a predetermined arrangement. An image of a light emission pattern of the end surfaces of the optical fibers is captured by a camera, and the image is transmitted to a monitoring person.

Electronic apparatus and method

According to one embodiment, an electronic apparatus detects an abnormality of at least one of a first fan for a first device in a first housing and a second fan for a second device in a second housing, and includes a receiver and circuitry. The receiver receives a first signal of a first sound collected by a first microphone and a second signal of a second sound collected by a second microphone. The first sound includes a sound produced by a shaft or a bearing of the first fan. The second sound includes a sound produced by a shaft or a bearing of the second fan. The circuitry detects an abnormality of one of the first and second fans by at least using the first sound and the second sound included in the first and second signals.

Temperature-based tamper detection
12146801 · 2024-11-19 · ·

A temperature sensing device for a temperature-based tamper detection system includes an integrated circuit (IC) and a logic circuit. The logic circuit sends an enable signal to the IC, causing it to measure the device temperature, and initiates a security timer. In response to not receiving the device temperature before the security timer expires, the logic circuit outputs a tamper event signal and an error code. The logic circuit can disable the enable signal in response to not receiving the device temperature before the timer expires. In some implementations, the logic circuit is a first logic circuit, and the IC includes an analog integrated circuit (AIC) and a second logic circuit. The second logic circuit receives the enable signal from the first logic circuit, causes the AIC to measure the device temperature, and outputs a ready signal and the device temperature to the first logic circuit.

AUTOMATIC LOG COLLECTION FOR AN AUTOMATED DATA STORAGE LIBRARY

Embodiments for automatic log collection of an automated data storage library by a processor. An occurrence of a triggering event associated with an automated data storage library is detected. The triggering event may include at least detecting an opening of one or more doors of the automated data storage library. A snapshot of one or more logs is captured in the automated data storage library upon detection of the triggering event. The snapshot of the one or more logs in the automated data storage library is stored.

Infrastructure control fabric system and method

A data center infrastructure management (DCIM) system having an infrastructure control fabric (ICF) subsystem for enabling a manager component of an independent computing device to communicate directly with the DCIM system. The DCIM system, in one embodiment, may have a manageability subsystem engine for monitoring data being transmitted from the independent computing device. A domain model may be included that has an extension relating to information on the independent computing device. A services server may be used which provides a shared services infrastructure layer. The ICF subsystem may have components located in each of the manageability subsystem engine, the domain model, on the services server, and in the manager component of the independent computing device, to enable the independent computing device to directly query the DCIM system to obtain at least one of real time power, cooling and space information that is useful for the independent computing device to know before at least one of initiating an operation or continuing with an operation.

A display device includes a display unit, a strain sensor which detects strain on an opposite side against a surface in which the display unit is provided, and a control unit which controls changing of displaying content for the display unit based on a detected level of the strain detected by the strain sensor.

Techniques for updating memory of a chassis management module

A technique for data roll-back includes in response to a first external static memory device being coupled to a first chassis management module and the first chassis management module being coupled to a middle plane board, determining whether the first external static memory device operates normally. In response to the first external static memory device operating normally, a controller of the first chassis management module writes data in the first external static memory device into a non-volatile memory of the first chassis management module to perform data roll-back.
