POWER SUPPLY UNIT POWER LEVEL PROTECTION LIMITS
Techniques are disclosed for managing power supplies and related power consumption alerts for a server based on the availability of redundant power supplies. When the system detects that a redundant power supply to a server has ceased to provide power, the system configures a new power consumption threshold for the remaining power supply. The new power consumption threshold is different than an initial power consumption threshold (if configured) when the redundant power supply was providing power. A power consumption threshold for triggering power consumption alerts for a power supply may be based on a number of power supplies actively providing power.
Redundant flexible datacenter workload scheduling
Systems include one or more critical datacenter connected to behind-the-meter flexible datacenters. The critical datacenter is powered by grid power and not necessarily collocated with the flexible datacenters, which are powered “behind the meter.” When a computational operation to be performed at the critical datacenter is identified and determined that it can be performed more efficiently or advantageously at a flexible datacenter, the computational operation is instead obtained by the flexible datacenters for performance. The critical datacenter and flexible datacenters preferably share a dedicated communication pathway to enable high-bandwidth, low-latency, secure data transmissions. In some situations, a computational operation is supported by multiple datacenters in a redundant arrangement, such as multiple flexible datacenters.
Methods and apparatus to improve computing device power management
Methods, apparatus, systems, and articles of manufacture are disclosed to improve computing device power management. An example apparatus includes a usage classifier to classify usage of a computing system, a low battery probability determiner to determine a probability of the computing system operating with a low battery capacity based on the classification, a policy reward determiner to determine an adjustment of a policy based on at least one of the classification or the probability, and determine a battery capacity of the computing system in response to the adjustment, and a policy adjustor to adjust the policy in response to the battery capacity satisfying a threshold.
Method and apparatus for resource management in edge cloud
A method can include obtaining information on at least one of the following: resource occupation of a reconfigurable functional unit associated with hardware accelerator resources or GPP resources, power consumption of a hardware accelerator associated with hardware accelerator resources, and power consumption of a server associated with GPP resources. The method can also include performing processing on the reconfigurable functional unit based on the obtained information, the processing including at least one of configuration, reconfiguration, and migration. The method and apparatus of certain embodiments may increase efficiency of resource management of the edge cloud, lower system energy consumption, and/or enable more efficient virtualization mechanisms for hardware accelerator resources.
Unified power management
System and methods may include receiving a request for assigning resources to a first application associated with a first entity, the first application having a plurality of levels of performance each corresponding to a different power consumption; and determining a particular level of performance of the first application to run on the resource under a first constraint that a sum of a power consumption of the first application running at the particular level of performance and power consumptions of one or more other resources running other applications associated with the first entity is less than or equal to a power budget associated with the first entity.
Detecting datacenter mass outage with near real-time/offline using ml models
The present embodiments relate to data center outage detection and alert generation. An outage detection service as described herein can process near real-time data from various sources in a datacenter and process the data using a model to determine one or more projected sources of a detected outage. The model as described herein can include one or more machine learning models incorporating a series of rules to process near-real time data and offline data and determine one or more projected sources of an outage. An alert message can be generated to provide the projected sources of the outage and other data relevant to the outage.
Apparatus for monitoring power in a semiconductor device
A power circuit includes at least one power detector coupled to both a first power voltage input via a pin or pad and a second power voltage supplied into a component, and configured to output a sensed power voltage changed from the first power voltage in response to a drop of the second power voltage, and a comparator configured to compare the sensed power voltage with a reference voltage to output a power sensing result.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING SOUND DATA FOR GENERATION OF AUDIBLE NOTIFICATION RELATING TO POWER CONSUMPTION
A method and a system (110) for providing sound data for generation of an audible notification relating to power consumption at a site (120) are disclosed. The system receives (201) information about power consumption at the site (120); and The system determines (202) the sound data based on the information about power consumption and on preference of a user of the system (110). A corresponding computer program and a carrier therefor are also disclosed.

The computing platform (1) comprises a debugger module (2), a memory (3) for storing instructions and data of a computer program; a CPU (4) configured for executing said computer program; said debugger module (2) being in signal communication with said memory (3) through a first debugger channel (dbg2Mem). Characteristic of the computing platform is that it comprises at least one pin (7) and at least one trigger point module (8), said at least one pin (7) being connectable to an electronic device (Ext) that is external to the computing platform; said at least one trigger point module (8) being in signal communication with said at least one pin (7) through a first trigger channel (tgr2pin), said debugger module (2) through a second trigger channel (t2d), said CPU (4) through a third trigger channel (tProbe), said at least one trigger point module (8) having a first register (10a) for storing a first trigger point (RefStartTrgPnt) that corresponds to a first instruction of said program to be monitored.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DETERMINING ENERGY SAVINGS
A method for evaluation, measurement and verification of energy savings achieved by an installation of an energy saving device, such as an advanced power strip or energy hub device. The method includes an installer installing an energy saving device in a premises supplied with electricity by an energy supplier. Installation information is recorded and to a monitoring entity, usage data describing the ongoing use and power consumption of the energy saving device is then transmitted to the monitoring entity.
