Implant
The present invention is directed to a hinge joint implant (40) configured to fit in a joint cavity and which can comprise, when in situ, an at least hemi-spherocylindrical configuration, and further a hinge joint implant configured to fit in a joint cavity wherein the implant can extend around the sides of a joint component which may be a bone and/or cartilage. The invention further provides the use of a hinge joint implant according for treating arthritis, and/or torn cartilage, and a method for manufacturing a hinge joint implant from one or more pieces.
Hemi arthroplasty joint implant
A hemi-arthroplasty bone joint implant has a first part (120) with a stem (111) tor intramedullary implanting into a metacarpal, mid a second part (110) to engage the trapezium is a translational manner, a hemi-arthroplasty articulating coupling (121). This allows multi-axial motion with translational movement of the second part over the trapezium and rotation of the first part (110) about the articulating coupling (121, 103). There is also a converter to convert the implant to a total arthroplasty implant in situ during revision surgery. The second part (110) and the hemi-arthroplasty coupling (100, 123, 121) are removable in situ during revision surgery. The first part (120) has an engagement threaded socket (117) for, after removal of the second part and the hemi-arthroplasty coupling, engaging the replacement coupling (200) and allowing mutual articulation of the first (120) and replacement parts (220). This forms a total arthroplasty joint implant.
CONNECTION STRUCTURE OF POROUS SURFACE STRUCTURE AND SUBSTRATE, PREPARATION METHOD FOR CONNECTION STRUCTURE, AND PROSTHESIS
The present invention discloses a connected structure of a porous surface structure and a substrate, a method for preparing the same, and a prosthesis of the same. The connected structure consists of a pre-connected or integrally formed composite body of a porous surface structure and an intermediate; and a substrate, which is connected to said intermediate to achieve the connection of said composite body to the said substrate; the composite body comprising a first composite region corresponding to a first stiffness; a remaining composite region in the composite body other than the first composite region, which at least contains a second composite region corresponding to a second stiffness; and the first stiffness is less than the second stiffness. The present invention achieves a fastened connection between the composite and the substrate and largely maintains the mechanical properties of the substrate; and it provides a prosthesis with excellent bone ingrowth properties and that the strength of the substrate is not substantially affected.
TALAR IMPLANT
Provided is a total talar replacement prosthesis that has a metallic body shell and a metallic or biologic core, where the metallic body shell includes one or both of a removable calcaneus attachment and a removable navicular attachment. The attachments, when removed, exposes a respective calcaneus-facing surface or a navicular-facing surface that can enhance fusion to the respective bones, calcaneus and/or navicular.

Apparatus and method for use in the treatment of hammertoe
An orthopedic drill bit includes a cutting head formed to include diametrically opposed cutting lips leading to a central point and away to a radiused periphery to center said bit. The drill includes flutes extending from a cutting end, said flutes having a dulled periphery to prevent out of round holes. The flute design increases in width progressively from the tip up the shank, to maintain an adequate and unrestricted space for chips to easily move upward, preventing the chips from being compressed into a smaller opening while maintaining the tapered depth of the flutes for strength.
ORTHOPEDIC FASTENERS, INSTRUMENTS, AND METHODS
A solution is disclosed for deploying a fixation member into an aperture of a bone fastener. The solution may include a guide having a body that includes a proximal end and a distal end. The guide may also include a guide member coupled to the body near the proximal end. The guide member may be configured to guide placement of the fixation member to secure the bone fastener. The solution may include an engagement member coupled to the body near the distal end. The engagement member can be configured to engage the bone fastener such that the guide member is rotatable, relative to the bone fastener, about an engagement axis to the guide member at any of the plurality of relative orientations about the engagement axis.
Wrist implants
The present invention provides a prosthetic wrist implant comprising: a radial implant component having an elongated radial stem extending proximally adapted for attachment to radius, a carpal implant component having a distal surface adapted for attachment to one or more carpal bones, and a interposed component between the radial implant component and the carpal implant component that is flexible and allows for changes in orientation between the radial component and the carpal components relative to each other component.

Ankle replacement system and method
A surgical alignment system is provided that includes a guide arm, a ratchet arm frame configured to be coupled slidably to the guide arm, a ratchet arm configured to be coupled to the ratchet arm frame, and a sagittal sizing guide body configured to be coupled to the ratchet arm. The sagittal sizing guide body includes a first radiopaque object disposed at a first position and a second radiopaque object disposed at a second position that is spaced apart from the first position.
