Protective Gear
Protective gear for a user having an inner panel and an outer panel that is configured so the user can use: only the outer panel; only the inner panel; or both panels together. This allows the user to launder, change and/or replace either panel, without sacrificing the utility of the other panel. The outer panel and the inner panel are temporarily attached to one another when used together. The outer panel's top edge along the user's nose and below the eyes is reinforced with a pliable material, allowing the user to form the top edge of the outer panel to the user's nose and face. There is a small gap in the reinforcements at the nose area, which allows the protective gear to be folded and stored. Both the inner panel and outer panel are formed to cover the user's nose and to accommodate the eye protection worn by the user. The protective gear is configured to give flexibility to the user by allowing the user to choose: (i) an outer panel with pockets for storing items; (ii) to incorporate lights on the outside of the outer panel, allowing the user to be more visible; (iii) to incorporate a flashlight on the outside of the outer panel; (iv) inner and outer panels with access to the user's mouth for drinking, smoking or vaping, without removing the protective gear; and (v) venting through the outer panel that is aesthetically pleasing to the user.
STRUCTURALLY-COLORED ARTICLES AND METHODS FOR MAKING AND USING STRUCTURALLY-COLORED ARTICLES
One or more aspects of the present disclosure are directed to bladders that incorporate a multi-layer optical film that impart a structural color to the bladder. The present disclosure is also directed to articles including the bladders having a multi-layer optical film, and methods for making articles and bladders having a multi-layer optical film.
WEARABLE LIGHT ASSEMBLY AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SAME
A wearable light assembly includes an opaque housing that is open towards the ground and is configured to reflect light emitted from a first light source downward onto a first location that is close to the wearer and reflect light from a second light source downward onto a second location on the ground that is farther away from the wearer than the first location. In an embodiment, the wearable light assembly senses motion of the wearer and switches between the first light source and the second light source depending on whether the wearer is moving slowly (in which case it activates the first light source) or moving quickly (in which case it activates the second light source).
Illuminated high-visibility safety vest
A high visibility safety vest assembly includes first and second elongated illumination assemblies positioned on a front portion of a vest, and third and fourth elongated illumination assemblies positioned on a rear portion of the vest. The vest includes a material layer. A high visibility safety vest assembly also includes a power supply having a rechargeable battery and supported by the vest. A control device is electrically coupled with the power supply and each of the first, second, third and fourth elongated illumination assemblies. The control device is configured to selectively facilitate provision of electrical power from the power supply to the first, second, third and fourth elongated illumination assemblies. The first, second, third and fourth elongated illumination assemblies are positioned such that, when the vest is donned by a person standing upright, each of the first, second, third and fourth elongated illumination assemblies are generally vertically oriented.
