Defining a graphical visualization along a time-based graph lane using key performance indicators derived from machine data
11061967 · 2021-07-13 · ·

A service monitoring system receives a selection of key performance indicators (KPIs) that each indicate a different aspect of how a service provided by one or more entities is performing. Each entity of the one or more entities produces machine data or wherein each entity has its operation reflected in machine data not produced by the entity. Each KPI is defined by a different search query that derives one or more values from the machine data pertaining to the one or more entities providing the service, where each of the one or more values is associated with a point in time and representing the aspect of how the service is performing at the associated point in time. For each of the selected KPIs, the service monitoring system derives the one or more values and causes display of a graphical visualization of the derived one or more values for the KPI along a time-based graph lane. The graph lanes for the selected KPIs are parallel to each other and the graphical visualizations in the graph lanes are all calibrated to a same time scale.

Systems and methods for generating and rendering dynamic 3D representations of subsystems of a computer ecosystem can include a computing device receiving data indicative of importance parameters of a subset of assets of a plurality of assets of a computer environment. Each asset of the subset of assets can be associated with a respective importance parameter. The computing device can determine, for each asset of the subset of assets, a respective visual depth using the respective importance parameter of the asset. The computing device can construct a visual representation of a 3D model of the subset of assets. Each asset can be depicted according to the respective visual depth in the visual representation of the 3D model. The computing device can include causing display of the visual representation of the 3D model on a display device.

MATCHED ARRAY GENERAL TALENT ARCHITECTURE SYSTEM AND METHOD
20210241506 · 2021-08-05 ·

A matched array technology system and method for displaying in a two-dimensional array the structured interactions between management and a plurality of employees in an organization. Axes contain proxy values of employee and manager expectations scaled to yield a matched array and an alignment vector containing cells representing target alignment between employee and manager expectations. A scatter plot of multiple employee positions portrays the pattern of talent alignment and distribution, representing the talent architecture for the organization. The talent architecture is characterized by multiple static and dynamic metrics that identify normative opportunities to improve organization alignment, and measure organization talent management performance, especially in relation to the reference and general alignment vectors of the array.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR IMPROVING DATA MANAGEMENT IN AN INFORMATION HANDLING SYSTEM
20210240492 · 2021-08-05 ·

An information handling system includes a delay controller having an analytics engine configured to analyze telemetry data associated with an installation of a program, to calculate a confidence index based upon the analyzed telemetry data, and to generate a recommendation corresponding to the calculated confidence index. A download controller receives an end-user recommendation selection, and delays the installation of the program based upon a delay time in the received end-user recommendation selection.

Test controller for cloud-based applications
11080177 · 2021-08-03 · ·

A method for testing a cloud-based software application for offline operation may include generating a test user interface displaying a first result of the cloud-based software application operating in an offline mode and updating the test user interface to display a second result of the cloud-based software application operating in an online mode. Inconsistencies between the first result of the cloud-based software application operating in the offline mode and the second result of the cloud-based software application operating in the online mode may be detected based on the first result and the test result displayed in test user interface. A runtime environment of the cloud-based software application operating in the offline mode may be modified, for example, iteratively, in order to eliminate the inconsistencies between the first result and the second result. Related systems and articles of manufacture are also provided.

Techniques may involve determining, according to determination that a received system alarm corresponds to a predefined to-be-monitored alarm, the received system alarm as a target system alarm. The techniques may further involve determining a system module corresponding to the target system alarm based on a predefined mapping relationship between the system alarm and the system module. In addition, the techniques may further involve acquiring the system diagnostic information of the system module which is associated with the target system alarm. In this way, time for collecting system diagnostic information can be reduced and user experience can be improved.

Device and method for evaluating internal and external system processors by internal and external debugger devices

Present implementations include an electronic device with a system processor (SP) region connectable to an SP, a primary device region connectable to a first electronic device, and a secondary device region disposed between the SP device region and the primary device region, and connectable to a second electronic device. Present implementations further include a debugger region including a debugger unit and disposed adjacent to the primary device region and the secondary device region. Present implementations also include obtaining a debug selection including a debugger selection and a system processor (SP) selection, entering a first debug mode in accordance with a determination that the debugger selection satisfies a debugger criterion and the SP selection satisfies an SP criterion, and entering a second debug mode in accordance with a determination that the debugger selection satisfies the debugger criterion and the SP selection does not satisfy the SP criterion, and entering a third debug mode in accordance with a determination that the debugger selection does not satisfy the debugger criterion.

Creating and using a bridge for obtaining and displaying process cloud services (PCS) analytics data outside of the PCS

A bridge is created between the process cloud services (PCS) and a target intelligence system that is outside of the PCS at least by: publishing Representational State Transfer (REST) Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) for use in a user interface of the target intelligence system that a user interacts with, wherein the user is a customer of the PCS; providing intelligence cloud service (ICS) tables for designing customer dash boards; and creating converted PCS analytics data that the target intelligence system is capable of processing by converting PCS analytics data from the PCS into a target intelligence system format. The bridge is used for communications between the PCS and the target intelligence system at least by: retrieving the converted PCS analytics data using the published REST APIs of the user interface of the target intelligence system; and creating the customer dash boards based on the ICS tables and the converted PCS analytics data.

System and method for application plug-in distribution

A new approach is proposed that contemplates systems and methods to support a sandboxed application plug-in distribution framework. An installation package containing a monitoring plug-in, a display plug-in, and/or third part components is received by a first application running on a first computing device. The first application installs the display plug-in and saves the monitoring plug-in to a centralized database. The first application sends an instruction to a second application running on a second computing device to retrieve the monitoring plug-in from the database and install the monitoring plug-in on the second computing device. Upon receiving a user request, the display plug-in of the first application sends a query to the monitor plug-in of the second application. In response to the query, the monitoring plug-in sends the requested monitored data collected by the second application to the display plug-in, which then formats and presents the monitored data to the user.
