Determining states of key performance indicators derived from machine data
An example method of determining a state of a key performance indicator (KPI) comprises: receiving one or more entity definitions, wherein each entity definition associates an entity with machine data pertaining to the entity; receiving a service definition for a service provided by one or more entities, the service definition including a reference to a corresponding entity definition of the entity definitions, wherein the service definition includes a respective reference for each of the one or more entities; receiving definitions of one or more KPIs, each KPI defined by a respective search query that produces a value derived from particular machine data, wherein the particular machine data is identified by the service definition, wherein each value is indicative of performance of the service at a point in time or during a period of time; deriving, by performing on the machine data a search query associated with the KPI, one or more KPI values for the KPI; selecting, among a plurality of states of the KPI, a state satisfying a condition applied to the one or more KPI values; and causing display of a visual indicator of the state of the KPI.
Automatically locating resources using alternative locator expressions during heterogeneous component-based testing in a portable automation framework
The disclosed technology provides resource locators keyed to resource names with failover alternate resource locators keyed to resource positions on user interfaces in a test environment: providing a central repository for resource locators and storing a set of alternative locator expressions for a resource in the central repository. The set includes first resource locators keyed to resource names on UIs and respective second resource locators keyed to resource positions on UIs that can be evaluated when the resource name in the respective first resource locator is invalid. The method invokes a resource location navigator to locate a particular resource using a first resource locator keyed to a resource name on the user interface, automatically invoking the resource location navigator using the second resource locator keyed to the resource position after failure of locating the particular resource using the resource name, and accessing the particular resource using the second resource locator.
Read diagnostic information command
A read command is issued to initiate a transfer of diagnostic information from a communication component of the computing environment. Based on issuing the read command, the diagnostic information is obtained from the communication component. The diagnostic information is configured based on a version of diagnostic information requested. The version is one version of a plurality of versions to be supported by the communication component. The diagnostic information includes diagnostic information relating to one or more communication components of the computing environment and to be used to facilitate communication within the computing environment.
Real-time IoT device reliability maintenance system and method
The present invention generally relates to systems and methods for detecting and/or isolating any causes of defective and/or partially defective IoT device or individual sensor device(s). In embodiments the present invention generally relates to fixing, replacing, and/or troubleshooting IoT devices and/or individual sensor device(s) that are defective and/or partially defective.
Automatic resource dependency tracking and structure for maintenance of resource fault propagation
A computing environment includes an originating system, a plurality of networked communication channels each configured to communicate one or more of a plurality of instructions for calling one or more downstream applications in response to calling of an originating application by the first system, and a resource dependency system for providing automatic resource dependency tracking and maintenance of resource fault propagation. The resource dependency system performs a query configured to identify any application calls performed in a predetermined period of time; for each identified application call, builds a corresponding transaction paragraph comprising a list of all sub-application calls performed in response to the application call; from each transaction paragraph, extracts a chronological sequence of sub-application calls found in the transaction paragraph; forms a tier pathway for each transaction paragraph; and stores each tier pathway in an accessible file.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DISPLAYING REPRESENTATION INDICATOR OF OBJECT
Embodiments of this application provide a method and a device for displaying a representation indicator of an object. In the method for displaying a representation indicator of an object, values of representation indicators of a plurality of monitored objects at a plurality of sampling time points are determined; and image information used to display changes of the representation indicators is generated, where the image information includes the plurality of sampling time points, values of representation indicators of a plurality of objects that meet a sorting requirement at the sampling time points, and association information, and the association information is used to associate values of representation indicators that are at a same sorting position at the sampling time points, to reflect changes of the values of the representation indicators that are at the same sorting position.
Managing Information Technology Infrastructure Based On User Experience
A system and a method are disclosed for managing information technology (IT) infrastructure. Client devices interact with applications of an enterprise that may be hosted in data centers of the enterprise or as software as a service (SaaS) applications. An IT management system receives session information from client devices. The session information describes interactions of client devices with applications, for example, response time of applications for each interaction. The IT management system analyzes the session information received from various client devices to identify issues with IT infrastructure. The IT management system generates warning messages describing the issues identified and sends them for review, for example, by a system administrator.
Determining diagnostic information utilizing program code
Aspects of the present invention disclose a method, computer program product, and system for determining a response to a query from a user. The method includes one or more processors receiving a query associated with a software product. The query includes an indication of an error. The method further includes one or more processors determining whether a response to the query is available in an accessible knowledge base. In response to determining that a response to the query is not available, the method further includes one or more processors identifying content in program code of the software product that corresponds to the indicated error of the received query. The method further includes one or more processors determining a response to the query based on the identified content in the program code. The determined response to the query includes diagnostic information corresponding to the indicated error.
Data collection agent trained for telemetry data collection
An apparatus comprises at least one processing device that is configured to implement a data collection agent and obtain a telemetry data collection specification. The at least one processing device is configured to train the data collection agent based at least in part on the telemetry data collection specification and to obtain an issue description corresponding to a technical support issue associated with a source device of an information processing system. The at least one processing device is configured to generate a telemetry data collection query based at least in part on the obtained issue description using the trained data collection agent and to submit the query to the source device. The at least one processing device is configured to obtain from the source device, telemetry data generated based at least in part on the query and to present the telemetry data to a user via a graphical user interface.
System and method for constructing fault-augmented system model for root cause analysis of faults in manufacturing systems
A system is provided for determining causes of faults in a manufacturing system. The system stores data associated with a processing system which includes machines and associated processes, wherein the data includes timestamp information, machine status information, and product-batch information. The system determines, based on the data, a topology of the processing system, wherein the topology indicates flows of outputs between the machines as part of the processes. The system determines information of machine faults in association with the topology. The system generates, based on the machine-fault information, one or more fault parameters which indicates frequency and severity of a respective fault. The system constructs, based on the topology and the machine-fault information, a system model which includes the one or more fault parameters, thereby facilitating diagnosis of the processing system.
