Different methods and apparatuses applicable to prepare materials for a user. One embodiment includes a device, with an imaging sensor. Based on analyzing a user attribute from the imaging sensor monitoring the user, the device can identify and access an area of the materials for the user. The area includes a section, and the device can layout the section by keeping a piece of text together with an illustration to be displayed in at least two screens of different sizes. Another embodiment includes materials with a text sub file with texts, an illustration sub file with illustrations, and a logic sub file with instructions to prepare materials for the user. Either the text or the illustration sub file can include position information linking at least an illustration to a corresponding piece of text. Annotations could be added to the materials.

Electronic bookshelf system

Techniques are disclosed for purchasing, accessing, consuming, and/or providing electronic content using an electronic bookshelf (eBookshelf) system. The eBookshelf system can be used by accessing a touchscreen-based user interface and/or local hardware controls and/or a remote control. A user's personal library of eBooks and/or any other electronic content can be displayed and/or aurally presented. In addition, the vast content of commercial retailers can also be displayed for browsing and purchase/rental. If the user identifies a content selection on the eBookshelf system that he/she wishes to consume, it can be readily transferred from the system to a personal content consuming device. Multiple eBookshelf systems can be attached to one another to extend the length and/or height of the eBookshelf. Accessing the eBookshelf system by a user ID allows multiple users to enjoy a personally customized version of the system.

Method and system for delivery of immersive content over communication networks
11051085 · 2021-06-29 ·

Computer-implemented systems and methods of providing content to a user via communications between a content provider and a user over a plurality of disparate communication channels are provided. Content is provided to a user via a first transmission channel for presentation. Metadata associated with the content identifies a content event trigger at a point in the content. The content is displayed using a first presentation system. When the content event trigger is reached, supplemental content is provided to the user via a second transmission channel. The supplemental content is provided to the user during continued presentation of the content, and the supplemental content is provided to the user using a content providing system that is wholly separate from the first presentation system.

Providing a continuation point for a user to recommence consuming content

A pause point during consumption of media data is identified. The pause point is a point at which identify a user stops the consumption of the media data. A portion of content preceding the identified pause point is determined. The portion of content is analyzed to identify changes in content concepts in the portion of content. One or more continuation points for the user to return to the content based on changes in the content concepts in the portion of content are identified. The one or more continuation points are indicated to the user.

SYSTEM FOR DYNAMIC EDITING

Electronic video ev-Book using flexible video screens
11017683 · 2021-05-25 ·

An Electronic Video ev-Book of design and manufacture resolving problems of loading undesirable internet content in said book by providing means to eliminate downloading text and graphical images from the internet. The claimed invention differs from existing e-reader products as an ev-Book of flexible QLED and like video screen e-Paper pages displaying internal memory content and eliminating internet communication components. An Electronic Video ev-Book in which the minimum required electronic memory, processing capacity and video capability for all video pages is contained within embedded electronic semiconductor digital operating mini-CPU Central Processing Units. The ev-Book's purposely specified and installed components eliminate user manipulation and changing of programmed content as compared with the ease of reloading personal computer e-readers. The invention claims an ev-Book exterior cover housing a spine harness comprising power batteries and positioning and binding of the interlocking video flexible e-paper pages each containing a mini-CPU for realistic experiences.

METHOD FOR DISPLAYING HANDWRITTEN NOTE IN ELECTRONIC BOOK, ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND COMPUTER STORAGE MEDIUM
20210141999 · 2021-05-13 ·

The present disclosure discloses a method for displaying a handwritten note in an electronic book, a computing device and a computer storage medium. Wherein the handwritten note includes a handwritten text, and the method includes: acquiring a handwritten text input by a user, recording a specific word in the electronic book corresponding to the handwritten text and a relative position of the handwritten text with respect to the specific word: when format adjustment of words in the electronic book is monitored, determining a new position of the specific word after the format adjustment; obtaining a new display position of the handwritten text based on the new position of the specific word and the recorded relative position of the handwritten text with respect to the specific word; and determining a display manner of the handwritten text based on the new display position of the handwritten text.

A SYSTEM FOR RECORDED E-BOOK DIGITAL CONTENT PLAYOUT
20210042258 · 2021-02-11 ·

A system allows for audio playout of e-book content data using a playout electronic device recorded by a remote recording electronic device. The system may analyse the e-book content to infer XY on-screen display coordinates for each word of the e-book and speech recognition may correlate the timing of the spoken words to the XY coordinates. As such, a read along display animation may be generated by the digital display of the playout electronic device in time with the audio and the respective on-screen position of each word. Eye tracking may be employed by the playout electronic device for the display of a gaze position indicator to the recording electronic device in substantial real-time. The system may further employ machine learning to optimise a trained machine to output at least one prosodic features for user profile specific speech emulation using a speech emulator.

Electronic mezuzah system, device and method of use

An electronic device, with a compartment for storing a religious script, activates playback of a stored audio file in response to a touch input. The electronic device includes power and timing components that can be isolated or disconnected so that the device will not operate during specified times, such as high holy days. Different audio files are available for selection on a server, and the desired audio file can be selected using an application that is running on a separate device, such as a cell phone or table. Provisions can also be made for storage and playback of video files in response to a touch input.
