Adjustable length prosthetic foot
A foot prosthesis that includes at least one spring element, an attachment member, and a heel member. The at least one spring element has a toe end portion, a heel end portion, an upper surface, and a lower surface. The attachment member is mounted to the upper surface and is configured to connect the foot prosthesis to a lower limb prosthesis component. A position of the attachment member is adjustable along a length of the at least one spring element. The heel member is mounted below the lower surface of the at least one spring element, and a position of the heel member is adjustable along the length of the at least one spring element.
PROSTHESIS FOR A LOWER LIMB
A prosthesis for a residual limb includes an element for receiving a stump fitted on or established by a support part, a distal prosthetic part, and an absorbing system. The distal prosthetic part is assembled on the support part by a pivot link forming a joint to enable flexion or extension of the distal prosthetic part with respect to the element for receiving. The absorbing system absorbs the flexion or extension efforts and is connected to the distal prosthetic part and to one of a rod or a lever that is pivotally fitted on the distal prosthetic device. The rod is mounted to the lever and to the support part.
Articulated prosthesis or orthosis joint
A prosthesis or orthosis has a first body and a second body rotatable relative to one another, a passive mechanical converting mechanism with a third body arranged movably with respect to the first body, and an elastic element arranged between the third and the second body. The mechanical converting mechanism is configured for converting an angular change between the first body and the second body into a change of load on the elastic element. There is further provided a ratio adapting device interacting with the converting mechanism and configured for modifying the conversion ratio by which the change of load on the elastic element is performed.
MECHANICAL GRASPING DEVICE
A mechanical grasping device where each of the segments of the finger assemblies, are individually sizeable. This allows for both a proportionately scalable grasping device as well as individual customization of geometric configurations tailored to specific use patterns. The mechanical grasping device is crushable since it has flexible and pivotable connections between digits along its length and width. It has a hollow member construction that imparts a strong lightweight design. It is modular so individual parts can be replaced for quick repair. From an aesthetics point, it is visually pleasing and can be offered in different colors, and with custom digit sleeves for specific applications. Finger assemblies can be operated individually or in groups via pairs of cables which allow operation in either voluntary open or voluntary closed modes of control. The flexible construction allows gripping of irregularly shaped objects and deforms before failing giving indication of overload prior to failure.
COUPLING FOR A PROSTHETIC DEVICE
A prosthetic foot, including a keel having a longitudinal axis. The keel includes a keel body including a heel portion, a forefoot portion, and an ankle portion positioned between the heel portion and the forefoot portion. The ankle portion includes a housing having a vertically oriented central axis. In addition, the prosthetic foot includes a coupling assembly disposed within the housing of the ankle portion. The coupling assembly includes a bearing member disposed about the central axis, a support sleeve concentrically disposed about the bearing member, and an embedding member disposed about the support sleeve. The embedding member includes a plurality of interlocking rings.
Robust Adaptable Foot Prosthesis
A device is provided to allow adaptation of a prosthetic or robotic foot in the medial-lateral direction, including pronation and supination of the foot using a series of articulations. Articulations are permitted in the disclosed device due to linkage systems positioned at various locations of the prosthetic foot. In particular, the device includes multiple connected linkage systems each including upper and lower portions with an articulating contact surface designed for load carriage and stability. The point of contact between the contact surfaces of each linkage system comprises the position-dependent instantaneous center of rotation of the upper portion with respect to the lower portion. The device also includes a platform coupled between the linkage systems and a base.
Prosthetic and orthotic devices having magnetorheological elastomer spring with controllable stiffness
A prosthetic or orthotic device includes a body configured to support at least a portion of a human limb of a user wearing the prosthetic or orthotic device. The device can also include a shock absorption member coupled to the body. The shock absorption member includes one or more magnetorheological elastomer (MRE) springs disposed between a first portion of the body and a second portion of the body. The one or more MRE springs are selectively actuatable to vary a stiffness of the shock absorption member via the application of a magnetic flux, thereby adjusting a stiffness of the body of the prosthetic or orthotic device to a level corresponding to an activity level of the user.

LOWER LEG PROSTHETIC SYSTEMS AND DEVICES
Systems and devices for use as lower leg prosthetic devices that include a foot portion having anterior and posterior ends and a first surface having a protrusion that protrudes therefrom adjacent the posterior end of the foot portion, has a semispherical or hemispherical surface with a passage therethrough extending laterally relative to the foot portion. The systems and devices further include a toe portion pivotally coupled to the anterior end of the foot portion, and a plate portion configured to couple to an attachment device and thereby be functionally secured to a user. The plate portion has a recess configured to couple with the protrusion of the foot portion. A cylindrical rod is located within the lateral passage of the protrusion and has ends protruding therefrom on oppositely-disposed of the protrusion. The plate portion is pivotally coupled to the ends of the rod on oppositely-disposed lateral sides of the protrusion.
Medial-lateral stabilizing prosthetic ankle/foot for angled and rough ground gait
A device is provided including a first linkage system and a second linkage system. Each linkage system may include an upper support, a lower support, and a cross bar linkage including a first cross bar and a second cross bar. The first cross bar may be configured with a first end pivotally coupled to a first end of the lower support and a second end pivotally coupled to a second end of the upper support. The second cross bar may be configured with a first end pivotally coupled to a second end of the lower support and a second end pivotally coupled to a first end of the upper support. The device may also include a flexible bridging platform coupled to one of the upper support or the lower support of the first linkage system and coupled to the upper support of the second linkage system, and a flexible strut coupled to the lower support of the second linkage system.
