A data management circuit with network functions and a network-based data management method are provided. The network-based data management method is employed to manage a storage device coupled to a computer that includes a processor. The method includes steps of: receiving a network packet through a network; sending the network packet to the processor or accessing the storage device, according to a network header of the network packet; and requesting the processor to access the storage device according to a remaining capacity of the storage device and/or a content of the network packet.

There is provided a method for preloading the glyphs required to display the content of a system. In accordance with an embodiment of the present technique, only those glyphs which are present in the system upon startup or synchronization of an electronic device are preloaded. The glyphs present upon startup or synchronization of the electronic device may be determined by scanning the system. In an illustrated embodiment, scanning the system may include analyzing models and views to determine the glyphs present in the system.

Embodiments provide a device profile mechanism for wireless devices. Many embodiments comprise a medium access control (MAC) sublayer logic to build frames comprising a device profile index element for a first device. Embodiments may facilitate access by a second device to a device profile for the first device without communication of the entire device profile from the first device. In some embodiments, the second device may access a storage medium integrated with or accessible to the second device to determine the device profile. Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method and an apparatus for scanning files and an intelligent terminal. Embodiments of the present invention disclose a method and device for constructing a spatial index of massive point cloud data. The method includes: partitioning acquired original point cloud data to obtain a plurality of point cloud data blocks; constructing an octree index of a current point cloud data block for each point cloud data block; and merging the octree indexes of the plurality of point cloud data blocks to obtain a spatial index structure of the original point cloud data.

A method for memory management is described. The method includes detecting entry of a mobile device into a deep sleep state. The method also includes monitoring a hysteresis counter of entry into the deep sleep state relative to a time period of the mobile device in the deep sleep state to compute a hysteresis statistical threshold. The method further includes comparing the hysteresis statistical threshold to a threshold configuration value. The method also includes adjusting memory management of the mobile device and/or frequency scaling when the hysteresis statistical threshold is greater than the threshold configuration value.
