INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM, AND INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD

An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to: display a representative image representing a document file shared by plural users on a screen of a terminal apparatus of a user, a single representative image being prepared for a single document file; and in a case where another user is viewing or editing the document file, display information indicative of the other user and information indicative of a part of the document file which the other user is viewing or editing while displaying the representative image.

Systems and methods for exporting, publishing, browsing and installing on-demand applications in a multi-tenant database environment

In accordance with embodiments, there are provided mechanisms and methods for creating, exporting, viewing and testing, and importing custom applications in a multitenant database environment. These mechanisms and methods can enable embodiments to provide a vehicle for sharing applications across organizational boundaries. The ability to share applications across organizational boundaries can enable tenants in a multi-tenant database system, for example, to easily and efficiently import and export, and thus share, applications with other tenants in the multi-tenant environment.

Building collaborative data processing flows

Methods, systems, and devices supporting managing a data processing flow are described. A device (e.g., an application server) may host a cloud-based collaboration application, such as an interactive document application. The device may receive an instance of a data processing flow for a flow application based on a first user input to the cloud-based collaboration application. The device may receive the instance of the data processing flow from a source device hosting the flow application. The device may embed the flow application in the cloud-based collaboration application. The device may then receive user inputs to the data processing flow from multiple users collaborating on the same flow in the cloud-based collaboration application. Based on the user inputs, the device may modify the instance of the data processing flow and transmit the modified instance back to the source device to synchronize the data processing flow in the flow application.

Computer systems and methods, according to various embodiments, allow users with shared access to a shared file or folder to communicate with one another via online chat. In particular embodiments, the system is configured to facilitate a chat session among all users that have shared access to a particular file or folder in response to a particular user selecting a “chat” button (or other suitable chat initiation element) associated with the shared file or folder. After a chat session is complete, the system may archive the chat session for later viewing and use.

Sharing unmanaged content using a content management system

In some implementations, a subscriber to an online content management system can share content items that are external to the subscriber's content library. A computing device can include managed content items associated with the subscriber's content library. The computing device can include unmanaged content items that are stored externally to the subscriber's content library. The subscriber can provide input associated with an unmanaged content item to generate a link (e.g., URL, file path, location reference, etc.) for the unmanaged content item. When generating the link, the unmanaged content item can be uploaded to the online content management system and stored separately from the subscriber's content library. The generated link can be shared with recipient user (e.g., subscriber or non-subscriber). The generated link can be used by the recipient to access the unmanaged content item uploaded to and stored by the online content management system.

Web application open platform interface (WOPI) server architecture and applications for distributed network computing environments

An interface server (e.g., Web Application Open Platform Interface (WOPI) server) is communicatively connected to an information management (IM) server and to an online application server which acts as a client of the interface server. When a user wishes to open, create, or edit a document in an online application hosted by the online application server, the interface server is called, instead of the IM server which manages the document at the backend of an enterprise computing network. The interface server is configured for obtaining a working copy of the document from the IM server and providing the working copy to the client. The client provides the working copy to the online application for display on the user device. When the work is done, the working copy is sync'd back through the interface server to the IM server as a new draft and deleted by the interface server.
