Storage constrained synchronization engine
A client application of a content management system provides instructions for synchronizing content items and placeholder items using a local file journal and updated file journal. The client application compares entries in the updated file journal to entries in the local file journal to determine modifications to make to content items or placeholder items stored in a shared content storage directory on the client device. Based on the result of the comparison, the client application replaces placeholder items with content items or replaces content items with placeholder items.
Information processing apparatus and non-transitory computer readable medium
An information processing apparatus includes a display, a setter, and a synchronization controller. The display displays a first document in a first window and also displays a second document in a second window. The setter sets a synchronization setting between the first and second documents. The synchronization controller executes an operation performed on one of the first and second documents also on the other one of the first and second documents when a synchronization setting is set by the setter, and cancels the synchronization setting when one of the first and second documents is in a first state in which it is not being used and restarts the synchronization setting when the corresponding one of the first and second documents is changed from the first state to a second state in which it is being used.
FILE REORGANIZATION
A method includes executing, by a computing device, a reorganization command within an environment; monitoring, by the computing device, unprocessed replication transactions within the environment; determining, by the computing device, whether the unprocessed replication transactions exceed a threshold; and pausing, by the computing device, the executing the reorganization command in response to determining the unprocessed replication transactions exceed the threshold.

Web application open platform interface (WOPI) server architecture and applications for distributed network computing environments
An interface server (e.g., Web Application Open Platform Interface (WOPI) server) is communicatively connected to an information management (IM) server and to an online application server which acts as a client of the interface server. When a user wishes to open, create, or edit a document in an online application hosted by the online application server, the interface server is called, instead of the IM server which manages the document at the backend of an enterprise computing network. The interface server is configured for obtaining a working copy of the document from the IM server and providing the working copy to the client. The client provides the working copy to the online application for display on the user device. When the work is done, the working copy is sync'd back through the interface server to the IM server as a new draft and deleted by the interface server.

System and method for maintaining a distributed ledger
A method of maintaining a distributed ledger at a client node includes: storing a distributed ledger defining a plurality of records each containing a set of values; storing (i) a local voting weight corresponding to the client node, and (ii) respective remote voting weights for a plurality of remote client nodes; obtaining a proposed update to a record of the distributed ledger; generating a local vote to apply or discard the proposed update and transmitting the local vote to the remote client nodes; receiving remote votes to apply or discard the proposed update from the remote client nodes; determining whether to permit the proposed update based on (i) the local vote and the local voting weight, and (ii) the remote votes and the corresponding remote voting weights; and according to the determination, applying the proposed update to the distributed ledger or discarding the proposed update.
AVOIDING DATA INCONSISTENCY IN A FILE SYSTEM USING 2-LEVEL SYNCHRONIZATION
A method of synchronously executing input/output operations (IOs) for a plurality of applications using a storage device with a file system includes the steps of: receiving a first write IO including an instruction to write first data at a first address of the file system; determining that, within a first range of the file system comprising the first address, there are no pending unmap IOs for deallocating storage space of the storage device from files of the plurality of applications; after determining that there are no pending unmap IOs within the first range, locking the first range to prevent incoming unmap IOs from deallocating storage space within the first range from the files of the plurality of applications; after locking the first range, writing the first data to the storage device at the first address; and after writing the first data, unlocking the first range.

Aircraft computer file distribution system, assembly and method
An aircraft computer file distribution system comprises a store (36) of aircraft computer files for loading into at least one aircraft device (12) that is onboard, mobile or replicated on the ground. The system includes a file manager (44), configured for identifying an aircraft configuration of the aircraft with which the aircraft device (12) is associated and a computer configuration of the aircraft device (12); defining, among the computer files in the computer file store (36), at least one computer file loadable into the aircraft device (12) according to the identified aircraft configuration and computer configuration; and activating a synchronization for remote distribution of at least one computer file to be loaded into the aircraft device (12) selected from the one or more computer files loadable into the aircraft device (12) based on the identified aircraft configuration and computer configuration.
