Backup and restoration for storage system
A backup method is provided for a file system for managing hierarchical storage including one or more storage media on a computer system including one or more computers. Each of the one or more storage media includes a data part which is separated from an index and on which updated information is appended and kept. Each of a plurality of pieces of data within the file system is managed to be migrated to at least any of the one or more storage media. The backup method includes backing up metadata of the plurality of pieces of data migrated within the file system; and backing up the index of each of the one or more storage media to which the plurality of pieces of data have been migrated, substantially at the same time point as the metadata.
Systems and methods for multi-file check-in
A content management system provides a mechanism for multi-file check-in features useful for content management. The content management system provides a way for users to check in multiple files in a single action. The system allows users to either select assets (e.g., files) or drag and drop multiple assets to be checked in. The assets being checked in are automatically matched with checked out assets, and once matched, unlocked.
AUTOMATICALLY PRESENTING A VISUALIZATION OF INFORMATION WITHIN A TERMINAL
In a computer-implemented method for automatically presenting a visualization of information within a terminal for interfacing with a distributed version control system, an input is received at a command line interface of a terminal for interfacing with a distributed version control system, the input including an operation to be performed by the distributed version control system. The operation to be performed by the distributed version control system is identified based on the input. The operation is executed to generate output of the operation. The output is displayed within the command line interface. A graphical visualization of the output is automatically displayed within a visualization pane of the terminal, wherein the graphical visualization is interactive.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DOCUMENT VERSIONS ENCODED IN A HIERARCHICAL REPRESENTATION
This invention discloses a novel system and method for comparing electronic documents that are created on different software platforms or that are in different data formats by traversing the two hierarchical representations of the documents in a manner so as to selectively ignore nodes in the hierarchy and attempt to resynchronize the sequence of traversing when nodes have no matching content.
Database Syncing
A method for database syncing is provided. The method includes receiving database change indicators indicating changes to a database. For each database change indicator, the method also includes determining whether the respective change to the database corresponds to a single change to a single version of the database, one of multiple changes to a common version of the database, or one of multiple changes to different versions of the database. The method further includes generating a change log compaction data structure comprising entries. Each entry includes an exact entry defining a corresponding single change to a corresponding single version of the database, a range entry defining corresponding multiple changes to a corresponding common version of the database, or an interval entry defining corresponding multiple changes to corresponding different versions of the database.
Systems and methods for configurable ordered transformation of database content
A system includes processor hardware and memory hardware that stores instructions. The instructions include, in response to receiving a request, determining a request type of the request, retrieving a first set of collected information, and selecting a first set of instructions corresponding to the request type. The instructions include constructing a first result by executing each instruction of the first set of instructions to create the first entry as a nested entry within the first result including data of the first set of collected information identified in the first set of instructions as nested or retrieve first data of the first set of collected information identified by the first instruction and add the first data to the first entry of the first result. The instructions include transforming a display of the operator device to complete a set of fields displayed on the display with corresponding entries of the first result.
Cloud-native global file system with multi-site support using push classes
A technique for data sharing among multiple filers that share a volume in a private or public cloud object store is implemented. In this approach, a mechanism is provided to enable a local filer to determine whether other filers that are sharing the volume have a consistent view of new data being written to the cloud object store by the local filer. The begins by associating together a collection of one or more files in a “push class.” On demand, a push operation for the push class is initiated on the local filer. Preferably, the push is managed according to one or more push criteria associated with the push class. Typically, the push operation pushes file data and metadata associated with the one or more files of the push class in respective phases, with the file data being pushed to the cloud during a first phase and the metadata associated with that file data being pushed during a second phase that follows the first phase. After the push operation completes, a determination is made whether the new version of the file is available at one or more other filers that share the volume.
System, method, and computer program product for generating a file structure
Computer-implemented methods may include receiving first report template data. The first report template data may include a first version identifier identifying a first version of a report schema associated with a first report template. The first version of the report schema may be determined to be subsequent to a current version of the report schema based on the first version identifier. First sample export object data associated with the first version of the report schema may be retrieved. First sample file structure data associated with a file structure of the first version of the report schema may be determined based on the first sample export object data. A first file structure may be generated based on the first sample file structure data. The first file structure may be populated with a plurality of report templates including the first report template. Systems and computer program products are also provided.
File source tracking
A computing system may determine different patterns of modifications that are to be made to data of a file to generate respective modified versions of the file, the different patterns of modifications enabling identification of other files derived from the respective modified versions of the file, the different patterns of modifications including a first pattern of modifications. The computing system may generate a first modified version of the file at least in part by modifying the data based on the first pattern of modifications, may send the first modified version of the file to a client device, and may store signature data indicative the first pattern of modifications so as to enable identification of other files derived from the first modified version of the file.
Seamless Content Presentation
The disclosure provides for methods and systems, including computer-readable storage media encoded with a computer program, for generating a composite content presentation from a primary presentation and multiple sub-presentations. The sub-presentations and the primary presentation can be presented seamlessly in the composite presentation with a common appearance through at least some common display elements, such as a navigation bar, appearing across each presentation. Some display elements, such as the navigation bar, may be controlled by the author of the composite presentation, while other display elements unique to each sub-presentation may be controlled by the author of the sub-presentation.
