PRELIMINARY RANKER FOR SCORING MATCHING DOCUMENTS

The technology described herein provides for preliminary ranking of matching documents for a search query. A preliminary ranker uses score tables for scoring each matching document based on its relevant to a search query. The score table for a document stores pre-computed data used to derive a frequency of terms and other information in the document. The preliminary ranker uses the score table for each matching document and the terms from the search query to determine a score for each matching document. The lowest scoring documents are removed from further consideration by a final ranker.

MANAGING CONTEXT INFORMATION BETWEEN CHATBOT AND USER DEVICE
20190207878 · 2019-07-04 ·

A chatbot server that manages context information between a chatbot and a user device includes a receiving unit that receives, from a messenger server, a question message input for a service selected from multiple services by the user device and service account information corresponding to the selected service; a derivation unit that derives an answer to the question message by using the chatbot corresponding to the service account information; and a context information management unit that manages context information of a chat between the user device and the chatbot based on the question message and/or the answer.

Methods, systems, and computer-readable media for semantically enriching content and for semantic navigation

Content of different formats may be sourced from various data sources such as content servers and ingested into a data integration server by an ingestion broker embodied on a non-transitory computer readable medium. The ingestion broker may normalize the content of different formats into a uniform representation that can be indexed and delivered across multiple digital channels for a variety of applications. The normalized content may be analyzed and semantic metadata may be determined from the normalized content. The normalized content can be semantically enriched by associating the semantic metadata and the like with the content. The semantic metadata can be stored in a semantic index that can be used for searching via the data integration server. During search, the semantic metadata can be instantiated as facets for user navigation and refinement of search criteria and additional semantic relationships can be assigned to the words in the normalized content.

Device and methods for control including presentation of a list of selectable display elements

The present disclosure relates to methods and devices for device control. In one embodiment, a method for device control including presentation of a selectable display element includes determining activity for each of a plurality of list elements of the device and determining a display format for a selectable display element, wherein the selectable display element is configured for presentation associated with the plurality of display elements. The method may also include presenting at least a portion of the selectable display element on a display of the device, wherein at least one list element is presented in association with the portion of the selectable display element. Another embodiment is directed to a device configured to present a selectable display element for control.

Techniques for domain capture

Techniques for domain capture. In one embodiment, for example, a method comprises detecting an attempt to create a personal user account with an online service that uses an electronic mail address that belongs to an owner of a particular domain name service domain. Based on the detecting, the online service prompts a user associated with the attempt to create a team account with the online service that is under management of the owner of the particular domain name service domain. Also based on the detecting the online service offers the user an option of creating a personal user account with the online service using an unowned electronic mail address.

ON-DEMAND, DYNAMIC AND OPTIMIZED INDEXING IN NATURAL LANGUAGE PROCESSING

Indexing natural language processing, a request is received from a user to access a document at a server, the server routes the request to an indexing server. A validation service checks if the CUID of the document is available in the indexing server repository or a file system associated with the indexing server. If the CUID of dataset exists, determine if a timestamp of the new document matches the timestamp of the previously indexed document. Upon determining that the above conditions are fulfilled, the previously indexed data is returned to the server. If it is determined that the above conditions do not match, then a transformation service is invoked at the indexing server. The transformation service compares a hash value of a dataset. If the transformation service determines that the hash value of a dataset in the document is not available, an indexing service is invoked to index the document.

Method and system for searching phrase concepts in documents
10318565 · 2019-06-11 · ·

A system and method for fast concept search in multiple documents where the concept is expressed by plurality of words, all of which have to be in the same sentence and within specified range. The system automatically finds equivalent expressions of the same concept, and returns as search results all documents in which the concept is contained.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DOCUMENT ANALYTICS
20190171658 · 2019-06-06 · ·

A system and method dynamically analyzes documents to determine the relevancy of a document relatively quickly and efficiently. Potentially relevant documents can be determined using a search string and then converted into corresponding document data structures for analysis. Keywords can be used to identify documents of interest from the document data structures. Tools are provided to assess the relevancy of documents, including tools to determine the frequency of keywords in the documents, to compare documents, and to contrast documents. Algorithms are provided that use prior searches to determine sets of relevant documents. Adaptive search methods are provided that refine searching during analysis to reduce a number of documents that are not sufficiently relevant. A dynamic relevancy matrix can be generated that provides access to keyword frequency and associated keyword frequency for a plurality of documents.

System and methods for touch target presentation

The present disclosure relates to user interfaces and in particular to providing a touch target for device interaction. In one embodiment, a process for providing a touch target includes displaying, by a device, a touch target on a display of the device, wherein the touch target is displayed in a first position, and detecting an input touch command to the display of the device. The process can also include positioning the touch target based on the input touch command, wherein the touch target is moved to a second position and controlling device operation based on position of the touch target. The processes and devices described herein may be configured to project contact position of a contact to portions of the display.

Identifying Pattern Relationships In Machine Data

Methods and apparatus consistent with the invention provide the ability to organize and build understandings of machine data generated by a variety of information-processing environments. Machine data is a product of information-processing systems (e.g., activity logs, configuration files, messages, database records) and represents the evidence of particular events that have taken place and been recorded in raw data format. In one embodiment, machine data is turned into a machine data web by organizing machine data into events and then linking events together.
