The present invention relates to user searches of the Internet, document repositories, online reporting agencies, information databases, social media outlets, audio or video images, or any other desirable searchable media or information. According to the present invention, a user may perform a search and may take into account certain users or user groups who may have previously searched out the same items so that a user can limit or influence its current search taking into account prior user searches for particular prior user purposes. Accordingly, users may curate their searches based on the information entered by other users or even the same user during previous searches, so that the universe of searched resources may be limited to those most likely to pertain to that user search, based on previous users or subsets of users as selected by the user, that is, crowd sourced curation of metadata.

This disclosure relates to a communication system where a user can use a smart phone to scan a tag, such as a QR code, to retrieve a weblink. The weblink is unique and associated with the location of the tag, which may also be the location of an unpersonalised device, such as a video projector or other A/V equipment. Therefore, when the mobile phone connects to the weblink, the webserver can retrieve information associated with this particular unique code. This information is now specific to the location of the tag and may even include information about the unpersonalised device. The operator receives the information when the communication channel is established and therefore knows exactly what the subject of the call will be. Further, the call can be automatically routed to the most appropriate operator without audio menus to be navigated by the user.

The present disclosure may achieve the following effects: upon connecting with the communication module via the smart terminal, it becomes unnecessary to search all surrounding communication modules and then select one to connect; instead, the present disclosure ensures an accurate connection by directly scanning the two-dimensional code, which prevents misconnection and facilitates the user to use; besides, the two-dimensional code is displayed via the displaying module, which avoids aging or loss of the two-dimensional code.

A system with interactive user interfaces for enrichment of missing data or metadata is described. The system provides various dynamic filters to detect and identify data items with missing data or metadata. The system also provides for intuitive and efficient navigation of data items for determination of the missing data or metadata. Via its user interfaces, the system enables users to supply, or enrich, the missing data or metadata. Additionally, the user interfaces enable users to dynamically change available data or metadata values used for enrichment. Also, the system generates enriched output data sets, which may facilitate analysis of processes and systems.

Implementations of a system, method and apparatus described herein receive, for a configuration item in a configuration management database, status indicating an operational state and an automation state associated with the configuration item, and determine whether a conflict will occur with at least one of the operational state or the automation state of the configuration item as a result of a process affecting the configuration item. When the conflict will not occur, a change is made to at least one of the operational state or the automation state of the configuration item in accordance with the process. Upon a conclusion of the process, the change is removed. If the conflict will occur, the process not allowed to continue.

Method of generating customizable avatar outfits and accessories starts with a processor receiving a first identification information associated with a first article of clothing for sale on a first third-party server. The processor generates an outfit update interface comprising an avatar associated with a user of a client device and a first selectable item corresponding to the first article of clothing. The processor receives a selection from the client device of the first selectable item. The processor modifies the avatar to generate a modified avatar that is wearing an avatar outfit that comprises a first item that resembles the first article of clothing. The processor then causes the modified avatar to be displayed on a display screen of the client device. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Document classification techniques are disclosed that convert text content extracted from documents into graphical images and apply image classification techniques to the images. A graphical image of the text (such as a bar-code) may be generated and applied to improve the performance of document classification, bypassing NLP and utilizing more efficient localized OCR than in conventional approaches.
