Systems and methods for displaying search results
The disclosed computer-implemented method for displaying search results may include (1) receiving a search query to search a document database that stores a document family containing a parent document and a child document that depends from the parent document, (2) determining that both the parent document and the child document satisfy a degree of relevance to content of the search query, and (3) in response to determining that both the parent document and the child document satisfy the degree of relevance to content of the search query, automatically depicting both the parent document and the child document in a hierarchical structure that shows the relationship between the parent document and the child document within original search results that a user interface of a computing device presents in response to the search query. Various other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.
AUTO-CITING REFERENCES TO OTHER PARTS OF PRESENTATION MATERIALS
The present disclosure provides for augmenting a presentation document to auto-cite references to material present in non-displayed parts of the presentation document identified via natural language processing (NLP) via displaying, in a graphical user interface (GUI), a given zone of a plurality of zones included in a presentation document; identifying, in an utterance received while the given zone is displayed in the GUI, a given key concept; identifying, via a content association map associated with the presentation document that identifies key concepts recited in the presentation document and which zones of the plurality of zones the key concepts appear in, a different zone of the plurality of zones that is not currently displayed in the GUI but in which the given key concept appears; and displaying, in the GUI concurrently with display of the given zone, a visual indicator related to the different zone.
Systems and methods for analyzing documents
Systems and methods are provided for analyzing documents. In one implementation, a computer implemented method is provided for analyzing a patent application and providing a visual representation. According to the method, a selection is received from a user to view claims of the patent application in a claim tree hierarchy and a computer displays the claims in the claim tree hierarchy on a display. The claim tree hierarchy visually depicts relationships between the claims. The method identifies one or more words of at least one of the claims that constitutes an element and displays, in the claim tree hierarchy, the words constituting the element in association with the claim.
Error and manipulation resistant search technology
Search may be provided using a database storing a plurality of documents comprising a first set of documents and a second set of documents, a set of vetting values and a computer readable medium. In such a system, for each document in the second set of documents, the first set of documents comprises a document for which that document from the second set of documents is identified as a subsequent related document. Additionally, the set of vetting values may comprise, for each document from the second set of documents, a vetting value for the document from the first set of documents for which that document from the second set of documents is identified as the subsequent related document. Additionally, the medium may store instructions to respond to a query by determining, based on the set of vetting values, a search result set comprising documents from the first set of documents.
Accessible processing method of webpage contents and accessible webpage device
An accessible processing method of webpage contents and accessible webpage device are provided. The foregoing accessible processing method may include the follows. A document outline list tag is added to a webpage. After the document outline list tag obtains a focus, the following is further included. All title tags of a specified level in current webpage may be traversed. An anchor point may be added to each title tag of the specified level. Text information of each title tag of the specified level may be respectively copied to a corresponding link newly established. The link newly established may be enabled to point to an anchor point of a corresponding title label. Each link newly established may be taken as a list item. The list item may be added to the document outline list tag.
Methods, systems and computer readable storage media for determining relevant documents based on citation information
Methods, systems and computer-readable storage media relate to automatically and efficiently determine a set of relevant document(s) relevant to an inputted set of document(s) based on at least indirect citations. The method may include determining a group of one or more citing documents from one or more citing documents for a queried set of one or more documents. The queried set may include the inputted set and/or one or more sets of relevant document(s). The method may also include determining a group of the one or more cited documents from the one or more citing documents for the group. The method may include determining relevance information for each cited document of the group. The method may further include determining a first set of one or more documents that are relevant to the inputted set of one or more documents based on the relevance information of the second group.
Research application and service
A research application and service are provided. The research application can be a mobile application, a feature within a word processing software, or an extension of a web-browsing software, through which a user can indicate a subject of research or assignment and receive a list of research topics from which credible research sources can be searched. The application is used to browse research sources and select particular ones to a collection. The application sends the data regarding selected research sources to be stored and accessed later via the research service. When a user is subsequently in a productivity application/authoring canvas, the productivity application can access the data collected by the user. Feedback on what, if any, research sources are included in an authoring canvas is used by the research service to modify the research sources presented by the research application when the topic is next selected by that or other users.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING TEMPORAL CITATION COUNT
Disclosed is a system for determining a temporal citation count for a document associated with an author, wherein the system comprises a database arrangement storing metadata related to the document, and a server arrangement communicably coupled to the database arrangement, wherein the server arrangement receives the metadata associated and employs dimensionality reduction techniques on the metadata to obtain a state data; designates the author of the document as a source node in the entity network comprising information related to a plurality of authors and citation history between the plurality of authors, wherein the remaining authors in the plurality of authors are designated as destination nodes determines an edge weight for edge between any of the source node and the destination nodes based on the state data; and aggregates the edge weight for the edges to obtain the temporal citation count.
Classifying medically relevant phrases from a patient's electronic medical records into relevant categories
Mechanisms are provided to implement a natural language request processing engine (NLRPE). The NRLPE performs natural language processing on a portion of unstructured text in an electronic data structure to generate textual characteristics of the portion of unstructured text. The NRLPE annotates at least one phrase in the portion of unstructured text at least by linking the at least one phrase to one or more concepts specified in at least one ontological data structure based on the textual characteristics of the portion of unstructured text. The NRLPE generates a model of the portion of unstructured text based on the one or more concepts linked to the at least one phrase. The NRLPE processes a request for information specifying a concept of interest based on the model of the portion of unstructured text by retrieving the at least one phrase or the at least one merged phrase as a response.
Electronic Document Presentation Management System
A method for managing engagement and presentation content of an electronic document involves providing container metadata identifying engagement containers within the electronic document, providing engagement data linked to the engagement containers, the engagement data comprising parameters of an engagement based on the segments of content in the linked engagement containers, executing a procedure to traverse engagement containers identified in the container metadata. The procedure includes accepting, based on user input, data responsive to the engagement, and assigning a score for the current engagement container based on the received data and the parameters defined in the engagement metadata.
