According to some aspects, methods and systems may include receiving, by a computing device, metadata identifying an event occurring in a video program, and determining an expected motion of objects in the identified event. The methods and systems may further include analyzing motion energy in the video program to identify video frames in which the event occurs, and storing information identifying the video frames in which the event occurs.

A video surveillance system and computer assisted method stores video streams of numerous video cameras installed throughout a facility (e.g., a school, an airport, etc.) and batch searches those video streams for relevant video frames that may show an individual with certain predetermined facial features. In some examples, the search range is limited by a specified time window, by certain designated cameras, and/or by certain predetermined areas of the facility. From those video streams, a collection of video clips containing the relevant video frames are identified and batch exported for later analysis by video surveillance personnel. In some examples, the collected video clips are compiled into a single composite video with the video clips being arranged by time for convenient and efficient viewing. In addition or alternatively, in some examples, the video clips are stored as separate files in a directory for viewing the video clips individually.

Methods, Systems, and Apparatuses are described to implement voice search in media content for requesting media content of a video clip of a scene contained in the media content streamed to the client device; for capturing the voice request for the media content of the video clip to display at the client device wherein the streamed media content is a selected video streamed from a video source; for applying a NLP solution to convert the voice request to text for matching to a set of one or more words contained in at least close caption text of the selected video; for associating matched words to close caption text with a start index and an end index of the video clip contained in the selected video; and for streaming the video clip to the client device based on the start index and the end index associated with matched closed caption text.

In some embodiments, the method comprises: identifying videos related to a video game; selecting videos relevant to each of a plurality of categories; selecting videos based on popularity; receiving a request to present a user interface related to the video game; determining user subscription information for a user associated with the request; selecting videos based on user subscription information; causing the user interface to be presented including representations of: videos relevant to a first category in a first portion, videos selected based on popularity in a second portion, and videos selected based on the user subscription information in a third portion; receiving a request to present a video selected via the user interface; and causing the user device to present the requested video.

Advertisements are delivered with videos, the advertisements being cued to begin based on an analysis of metadata associated with the videos such as moments identified from user-submitted comments relative to the video. The video processing method includes: providing a first user with an interactive interface for tagging people in a video; receiving a tagging operation on at least one people in the video, which is inputted by the first user through the interactive interface; and in response to the tagging operation of the first user, displaying a tagging result in-feed outside a video display interface when the video is posted on a social network.

Methods and apparatus for facilitating video search are disclosed. An example apparatus includes one or more processors to execute instructions to process first metadata associated with video to identify the video as corresponding to an episode of a television show, the video made available by a first device. The example one or more processors are to update a database to include first information concerning the episode of the television show based on the first metadata and access second metadata associated with the video, the second metadata collected from a second device. Additionally, the example one or more processors are to process the second metadata to determine second information about the episode of the television show and augment the database with the second information about the episode of the television show.

A method for providing structured access to media content on a media platform includes providing a user interface including a dashboard with a plurality of interactive elements. The interactive elements are configured using a design area, wherein access to the design area is granted according to a role of a user operating the user interface. At least one of the interactive elements is associated with media content using an upload area of the user interface, wherein access to the upload area is granted according to a role of a user operating the user interface. The media content is uploaded from a terminal device operated by the user to the media platform. Access to the media content is enabled using the interactive elements, wherein each interactive element provides access to the associated media content. Methods and apparatus for facilitating video search are disclosed. An example method includes identifying a video, matching the video to a sporting event, and fetching additional information associated with the sporting event. The additional information identifies an athlete associated with the sporting event. The method further includes augmenting a search index entry for the video based at least in part on the additional information associated with the sporting event, and weighting matches to index terms using the additional information differently than matches based on a description of the sporting event.
