Systems and methods for a media guidance application that generates results in multiple languages for search queries. In particular, the media guidance application resolves multiple language barriers by taking automatic and manual user language settings and applying those settings to a variety of potential search results.

Systems and methods are described for processing ingested data in an asynchronous manner as the data is being ingested to detect potential anomalies. For example, one or more streaming data processors can convert data as the data is ingested into a comparable data structure, determine whether the comparable data structure should be assigned to an existing data pattern or a new data pattern, and optionally update a characteristic of the data pattern to which the comparable data structure is assigned. The streaming data processor(s) can perform these operations automatically in real-time or in periodic batches. Once one or more comparable data structures have been assigned to one or more data patterns, the streaming data processor(s) can analyze the comparable data structures assigned to a particular data pattern to determine whether any of the comparable data structures appear to be anomalous.

Systems and methods are provided herein for displaying recommendations that are temporally relevant to activities of a user and are contextually relevant to a portion of viewed media. This may be accomplished by a media guidance application identifying activities a user has planned, as well as respective times for which each of the plurality of activities was planned to be performed by the user. The media guidance application may filter the activities by determining which of the first plurality of activities has a corresponding respective time that is within a threshold period of time. The media guidance application may then identify characteristics of each filtered activity and of a media asset that the user is consuming at the present moment, and may compute whether the characteristics match. If the characteristics match, the media guidance application may generate for display a recommendation relating to the respective activity.

Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for contextually disambiguating queries are disclosed. In an aspect, a method includes receiving an image being presented on a display of a computing device and a transcription of an utterance spoken by a user of the computing device, identifying a particular sub-image that is included in the image, and based on performing image recognition on the particular sub-image, determining one or more first labels that indicate a context of the particular sub-image. The method also includes, based on performing text recognition on a portion of the image other than the particular sub-image, determining one or more second labels that indicate the context of the particular sub-image, based on the transcription, the first labels, and the second labels, generating a search query, and providing, for output, the search query.

Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for contextually disambiguating queries are disclosed. In an aspect, a method includes receiving an image being presented on a display of a computing device and a transcription of an utterance spoken by a user of the computing device, identifying a particular sub-image that is included in the image, and based on performing image recognition on the particular sub-image, determining one or more first labels that indicate a context of the particular sub-image. A computerized system automatically ensures that data from a data partner has been ethnically sourced. The system reviews websites associated with URLs provided by the data provider, and privacy policy data is extracted and captured. A keyword set is used to analyze the privacy terms of websites associated with the URLs. URLs associated with websites that ethically collect data are stored in a URL database, or the URLs are given a flag or score, such that these URLs need not be checked each time a new data partner identifies these URLs as the source of its data. The system may periodically re-check the URLs to ensure that no changes have been made to the corresponding website's data collection practices.

An apparatus for providing services, includes: circuitry that: receive, from a communication terminal of a user, a request for obtaining a particular item of one or more items provided by one or more service providers, information on the one or more items being managed on a blockchain system; transmits, to the blockchain system, a request for changing information on a use right of the particular item to indicate transfer of the use right to the user; and provides the particular item to the communication terminal of the user having the use right of the particular item.

Technologies are described herein for executing queries expressed with reference to a structured query language against unstructured data. A user issues a structured query through a traditional structured data management (“SDM”) application. Upon receiving the structured query, an SDM driver analyzes the structured query and extracts a data structure from the unstructured data, if necessary. The structured query is then converted to an unstructured query based on the extracted data structure. The converted unstructured query may then be executed against the unstructured data. Results from the query are reorganized into structured data utilizing the extracted data structure and are then presented to the user through the SDM application.

Technologies are described herein for executing queries expressed with reference to a structured query language against unstructured data.
