AUTOMATICALLY SHARING A DOCUMENT WITH USER ACCESS PERMISSIONS
Inline command functionality for automatically sharing a document with user access permissions is provided. Automatic sharing of a document is performed in response to a trigger entry within the document. When a trigger entry and a user identifier entry is received, an auto-share system automatically resolves user access permissions in the background, detects sharing permissions, and shares the document with user access permissions without requiring the user who is sharing the document to manually input data. A notification is provided to the sharing user informing the user that the document is being shared, and another notification is provided to the user with whom the document is being shared including a link to the document. If the document was unintentionally shared, the sharing user is enabled to select the notification, and quickly and easily make modifications to the user access permissions for the document.
Systems, methods, software and interfaces for performing enhanced document processing and document outlining
An exemplary method includes accessing a source document where the source document is associated with a citation and copying a selected portion of the source document. Then, in response to copying the selected portion, the method includes generating a referenced element where the referenced element consists of the selected portion and a hyperlink associated with the citation. Finally, the method includes accessing a destination document and inserting the referenced element into the destination document. An additional exemplary method further includes storing a copy of the referenced element in a memory of an access device. Another exemplary method includes annotating the destination document and generating an annotated destination document. Another exemplary method includes printing, within a single print session, the annotated destination document and the source document. Yet another exemplary method includes printing, within a single print session, a non-annotated destination document, the annotated destination document and the source document.
Synchronization and playback of related media items of different formats
A synchronized media item is generated and presented to a user via a user client. The user client receives a synchronization point including a location identifier that identifies a location within a media item linked to a location within a related media item. The user client inserts the received synchronization point into the media item at the identified location to create a synchronized media item. The user client presents the synchronized media item and the synchronization point.
System and Method for Organizing and Indexing Citations for Research Papers
The present invention relates to a reference organizing and indexing system for research papers. The system can be used by students, universities, researchers, and companies for saving time to correctly include citations and references in their research papers. The system offers a software application that is configured to identify the source and metadata including author, page numbers, and dates of references to be used as citations. The system eliminates the need of a researcher to manually search and collect the citation information. A plurality of citations is indexed which can then be retrieved in a proper format for inclusion in research papers. The citations can be added as footnotes, bibliographies, and/or in-text citations.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ENRICHING METADATA VIA A NETWORK
A method and apparatus for enriching metadata are disclosed. For example, the method implemented via a processor monitors metadata associated with a first webpage of a plurality of webpages, the first webpage having been determined to be similar to a second webpage of the plurality of webpages, detects a change to the metadata associated with the first webpage, determines whether the change to the metadata associated with the first webpage invokes an update to a metadata associated with the second webpage, and processes the update of the metadata associated with the second webpage when the change invokes the update to the metadata associated with the second webpage.
INCORPORATING SELECTABLE APPLICATION LINKS INTO MESSAGE EXCHANGE THREADS
Methods, apparatus, systems, and computer-readable media are provided for incorporating application links into message exchange threads. One or more cues emanating from a message exchange thread involving two or more message exchange clients may be detected. The one or more cues may trigger incorporation, into the message exchange thread, of a selectable link to a distinct application. At least one candidate application that is installed on a given client computing device operated by a message exchange thread participant may be identified. The candidate application may be associated with content of the message exchange thread. A selectable link may be incorporated into a transcript of the message exchange thread displayed in a graphical user interface of a message exchange client operating on the given client computing device. The selectable link may be operable by the participant to expose to the participant an interface associated with a respective candidate application.
INTELLIGENT ELECTRONIC DATA CAPTURE FOR MEDICAL PATIENT RECORDS
A device (10) for editing an electronic medical record (EMR) is provided. The device includes a mobile device (12) including a touch-sensitive display (14), a communication link (16), and at least one electronic processor (18) programmed to cause the mobile device to perform an EMR data entry method. The method includes: displaying a medical document (20) on the touch-sensitive display: overlaying an EMR data entry fillable form (22) having user-editable fields (24) on the touch-sensitive display as a partially transparent overlay (26) superimposed on the displayed medical document; transferring text content (28) from the medical document into at least one of the user-editable fields of the overlaid EMR data entry fillable form; and after filling out the overlaid EMR data entry fillable form by operations including at least the transferring, uploading at least the content of the user-editable fields of the filled out EMR data entry fillable form to an EMR (32) via the wireless communication link.
Contextual anchor points in content
This disclosure describes systems, methods, and computer-readable media related to contextual anchor points in content. In some embodiments, processed content may be received from a server. Contextual anchor parameters may be received from a user. A selection of an anchor target in the processed content may be received from a user. One or more contextual anchor candidates may be identified in the processed content based at least in part on the anchor target and the one or more contextual anchor parameters. The one or more contextual anchor candidates and at least a portion of the processed content may be displayed to the user. A selection of at least one contextual anchor from the one or more contextual anchor candidates may be received from the user. An association may be established between the anchor target and the contextual anchor. The processed content, anchor target, and the association may be transmitted.
Error identification, indexing and linking construction documents
The present disclosure provides various systems and methods for indexing digital (electronic) documents and providing various error reporting and identification functions. The systems and methods may utilize various software, hardware, and firmware modules to identify notations, such as sheet names, anchors, and anchor references on construction documents. Various algorithms and methods may be employed to identify errors, erroneous notations, missing sheets, missing details, and/or the like to aid in the correction of construction documents. Identified notations are indexed and used to create hyperlinked pages that are easily navigable. In some embodiments, the hyperlinked pages may include previous- and next-sheet hyperlinks that allow for direct navigation within a set of pages, according to an order provided in an index sheet (e.g., a table of contents sheet).
Intelligent document management in computing systems
Computer systems, devices, and associated methods of intelligent content management are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a method includes scanning a document to determine whether one or more words in the document represent a resource in the file management system, the resource being a name of a person or a linked document in the file management system. In response to determining that one or more words in the document represents a resource, the method includes retrieving a resource record corresponding to the resource from a database in the computing system, the resource record having a data field containing data representing a current status of the resource and surfacing, in the document, the retrieved data of the current status of the resource to the user.
