SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CONTENT RIGHTS PORTABILITY
The system and methods described allow a content delivery application to provide temporary access to a content item for display on a content access device based on a user obtaining access to the content item initially on another system. The content delivery application receives content accessed confirmation that user access a content item and then monitors whether that access was interrupted. If the access was interrupted, the content delivery application generates a content access bookmark based on a content timeline and stores a content access authorization comprising the content access bookmark and an identifier from the profile. When the user requests the content item, the content delivery application transmits access information corresponding to segments of the content item, based on the content access bookmark to a user's device.
Location-based licensing and configuration
Method and system for provisioning industrial assets. A provisioning server processes location data and an identifier associated with a selected industrial asset for verifying a presence of the asset within a predefined area and for determining a feature set for the asset. The location data is indicative of a location of the asset and the identifier identifies the asset and has the feature set associated therewith. The provisioning server then retrieves a license and/or configuration corresponding to the feature set for the asset from the repository in response to the asset being located within the predefined area. The provisioning server provisions the asset with the retrieved license and/or configuration.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR GENERATING AND FACILITATING ACCESS TO A PERSONALIZED AUGMENTED RENDERING OF A USER
Systems and methods for generating and facilitating access to a personalized augmented rendering of a user to be presented in an augmented reality environment are discussed herein. The augmented rendering of a user may be personalized by the user to comprise a desired representation of the user in an augmented reality environment. When a second user is detected within the field of view of a first user, the second user may be identified and virtual content (e.g., an augmented rendering) for the second user may be obtained. The virtual content obtained may differ based on one or more subscriptions of the first user and/or permissions associated with the virtual content of the second user. The virtual content obtained may be rendered and appear superimposed over or in conjunction with a view of the second in the augmented reality environment.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR GENERATING AND IMPLEMENTING CAPTURE PROTECTIONS POLICIES
Systems and methods for implementing restriction policies for capturing and sharing of media content associated with a first user, by a second user, without consent, are described. A request to capture or share media content associated with a target, by a device such as a smartphone or a drone, is detected. A search query is automatically generated to search for restrictions policies. Upon identifying a restriction policy, restriction patterns and metadata which include rules and restrictions for capturing and sharing of the media content are downloaded to the device. A match between the restriction patterns and the media content to be captured are made. Upon confirming a match, restrictions from the policy are applied to the media content, which include altering a portion or an attribute of the media content such that it is unrecognizable. Watermarks may also be embedded within the media content files to enforce the policy.
LICENSE MANAGEMENT OF FIELD DEVICES IN A PROCESS CONTROL SYSTEM
Systems, apparatus, articles of manufacture, and methods are disclosed for license management of field devices in process control systems. An example apparatus includes interface circuitry; instructions; and processor circuitry to be programmed by the instructions to: identify a field device of a plurality of field devices in a process control system; determine a first version of a license of the field device; and in response to a request to change the first version of the license to a second version of the license: compare the second version of the license to a current version of the license; enable: (1) transmission of the second version of the license to the field device when (a) the second version of the license matches the current version of the license and (b) the field device is communicatively coupled to the processor circuitry; or (2) download of the second version of the license to a transportable memory device when (a) the second version of the license matches the current version of the license and (b) the field device is air-gapped relative to the processor circuitry; and deny either transmission of the second version of the license to the field device or download of the second version of the license to the transportable memory device when the second version does not match the current version.
