A method and apparatus are disclosed for upgrading libraries in a source code program by evaluating libraries in the source code program for predetermined selection criteria specifying library performance limitations to identify at least a first library which does not meet the plurality of predetermined selection criteria and then identifying a first alternative library that is suitable for substitution for the first library so that the source code program may be automatically modified to replace the first library with the first alternative library, thereby generating a modified source code program having an upgraded library functionality.

Techniques are described for reducing time to decrypt a next encrypted frame in a content stream by optimizing a license/key acquisition process. When requesting content, a key identifier and/or license identifier may be included within a webpage using a link, script, or similar access point. When a client device sends a request for content, the loading of the webpage within the client device includes the embedded key identifier. Access to the key/license identifier at the client device then may initiate a key/license acquisition process by the client device. The key/license may be obtained from a key management device in parallel with, or prior to, downloading of at least a portion of the content stream.

The administrators of a tenant are provided with tools to create multiple separate instances of the intranet site and/or employee experiences. The administrator can define affinity information that indicates which users or groups of users should be directed to a particular intranet site and/or employee experience. The administrator can define an order in which the intranet sites and/or employee experiences are considered when determining which intranet site or employee experience to present to a user in response to a request to access the intranet site or the employee experience.

A method for an information processing apparatus in which a hybrid application having both a function of a native application and a function of a web application operates and that is communicable with a server, the method includes transmitting, upon acceptance of a predetermined user operation, an acquisition request for information about the web application to the server, reading information about the native application saved in advance in the hybrid application, and displaying information generated from the acquired information as a response to the acquisition request and the read information, as a result of the predetermined user operation.

There is provided a client device comprising a content protection decoder according to a first standard, comprising: a receiver for receiving an asset associated with content protection; a creation module for creating a content protection for the asset in accordance with the first standard, and including a parameter identifying information additional to the information associated with said standard; an interface for transmitting a request for a license to a license server based on said standard, the request including that parameter, and for receiving a license in response; and a controller for accessing content associated with the asset using the license. There is also provided a license server configured to: receive a license key request in accordance with a standard from a client device; transmit the request to a processing function associated with the standard; receive a parameter associated with the standard from the processing function; parse the parameter to retrieve additional information; process the additional information; access a license in accordance with the standard based on the parsed information; and transmit the accessed license in accordance with the standard to the client device.

Techniques and mechanisms described herein facilitate the management of digital rights for media content item presentation. According to various embodiments, a request for a content decryption key may be received at a media application implemented at a computing device. The request may be transmitted by a media content player implemented at the computing device. The request may be transmitted in accordance with a designated key exchange protocol. A license for an encrypted media content item corresponding with the requested content decryption key may be identified at the media application. Based on information included in the license, encrypted key material may be decrypted to create the requested content decryption key via a processor at the computing device. The requested content decryption key may be provided to the media content player.

A system for communication between two or more computer programs is disclosed. The system includes a memory, an interface, and a processor. The memory stores a first file, expected metadata for the first file, and expected metadata for one or more fields in the first file. The interface receives a file from a computer program. The file comprises fields that each comprise information provided by one or more sources. The processor executes a second computer program which extracts a first set of file metadata from the received file, compares the extracted first set of file metadata to the expected metadata, and determines if the extracted first set of file metadata corresponds to the expected metadata. If the extracted first set of file metadata corresponds to the expected metadata for the first file, then the processor performs analogous comparisons at a field level and stores the first file in the memory.
