System and method for securely retrieving and playing digital media using peer-to-peer distribution
A system and method for securely streaming/downloading and playing coherent digital content such as music and preventing its play by unauthorized users, facilitating a peer-to-peer sharing of cloned content. The system may include mass server/storage devices for receiving and storing digital content having predetermined gaps, and client devices communicating with the server/storage devices and providing authorization to proceed. During playing of the digital content by the client devices, the removed components may be reinserted into the missing gaps at the appropriate places, to allow the play or cloning of the coherent digital content.
Offline License Distribution Device
According some aspects, a user may purchase licenses from a vendor and receive a first code that was generated by a license management device and indicates a first quantity of licenses. The user may manually enter the first code into a license distribution device, which may be a handheld device with no connections to the license management device or a licensee device, in order to replenish licenses on the license distribution device. A user may attempt to perform a task that requires one or more licenses on a licensee device. The user may obtain a second code from the licensee device and manually enter the code into the license distribution device. The user may obtain a third code from the license distribution device and manually enter the third code into the licensee device to perform the task for which licenses were sought.
Application licensing for a centralized system of medical devices
Centralized systems execute one or more applications for monitoring and operating a plurality of network enabled medical devices. An indication to start a selected application at the centralized system or at a network enabled medical device is received at the centralized system/network enabled medical device. The selected application may require a license to operate and, at the time the indication is received, may have a first license available. Instead of using the first license, the centralized system/network enabled medical device may determine to inherit at least a portion of a second license to operate the selected application. The centralized system/network enabled medical device may inherit at least the portion of the second license to form an inherited license, where the inherited license enables features of the selected application. Using the inherited license, the selected application is started with the enabled features. Related apparatus, systems, techniques and articles are also described.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND INFORMATION PROCESSING PROGRAM
The present disclosure relates to an information processing apparatus, an information processing method, and an information processing program, capable of managing the copyright-related information of content appropriately.
An information processing apparatus according to the present disclosure includes an acquisition unit configured to acquire, in a case where there is a plurality of copyright holders relating to one piece of content, consensus information indicating an agreement on a share of respective copyrights of the plurality of copyright holders, and a generation unit configured to create a transaction for recording the consensus information acquired by the acquisition unit on a blockchain.
TOKENIZED MEDIA CONTENT MANAGEMENT
A system and method for media content management include creating, via a digital vault, a container file comprising media content submitted by a user and content metadata; verifying, via the digital vault, a completeness of the content metadata associated with the media content in the container file; classifying, via the digital vault, the container file based on the completeness of the media content; and capturing, via the digital vault, event metadata when a second user gains access to the container file, the event metadata comprising identification of the second user, an activation timestamp, a duration of access, portions of the container file accessed, and changes to the container file.
VIRTUAL MUSIC RIGHTS MANAGEMENT
Management of virtual content rights of digital assets for a virtual environment, including: receiving data indicating a request from a user for assignment of virtual content rights of a digital asset; determining whether the requested virtual content rights are available for assignment to the user and a set of terms of the assignment for the requested virtual content rights; notifying the user of the availability and the set of terms for the assignment of the virtual content rights to the user; receiving data indicating agreement by the user to the assignment, including agreement to at least one term of the set of terms; and updating the virtual content rights database to indicate the assignment of the virtual content rights to the user.
Information terminal, communication terminal, server, license transfer system and license transfer method
Provided is an information terminal connected to a communication terminal which is connectable to one or more other information terminals, wherein the information terminal comprises a communication unit which receives, from the communication terminal, a connection history with the other information terminals which were previously connected to the communication terminal, and a license transfer management unit which extracts an information terminal among the other information terminals that satisfies a license transfer condition based on the received connection history.
Trusted transaction system for digital asset licensing
A licensing system and related methods are described utilizing aspects of distributed ledger technologies to facilitate trusted and verifiable licensing transactions for creative works. A client device can include an asset editing tool for incorporating an asset selected from a plurality of licensable assets into a new creative work. The selected asset can be downloaded for incorporation into the new creative work. The new creative work incorporating the selected asset can be analyzed to determine an amount that the selected asset contributed to the new creative work, or an amount that the new creative work is attributable to the selected asset. Based on the analysis, a smart contract associated with the new creative work can be generated to include license fees for licensing the new creative work, receive payment transactions for licensing the new creative work, and fairly disperse calculated portions of received payment transactions to a licensor of the new creative work and to another licensor of the incorporated selected asset.
Integrated multi-provider compute platform
The present invention includes embodiments of systems and methods for addressing the interdependencies that result from integrating the computing resources of multiple hardware and software providers. The integrated, multi-provider cloud-based platform of the present invention employs abstraction layers for communicating with and integrating the resources of multiple back-end hardware providers, multiple software providers and multiple license servers. These abstraction layers and associated functionality free users not only from having to implement and configure provider-specific protocols, but also from having to address interdependencies among selected hardware, software and license servers on a job-level basis or at other levels of granularity.
