APPLICATION USAGE ANALYTICS FOR LICENSING ANALYSIS
A system and method for performing licensing monitoring and compliance within a service provider platform are provided. The system comprises a memory and a processor configured to execute instructions stored within the memory. The system further comprises a central instance that executes on the processor and comprises a license repository containing licensing data for application components. The system further comprises a customer instance that includes a third-party application component installed within the customer instance from an application store. The system further includes a licensing module. The third-party application component is switchable between a monitor mode in which the licensing module reports usage of the third-party application component to the central instance and an enforcement mode in which the usage is controlled on the customer instance based on the license repository.
Systems and methods for software license management
In accordance with the present approach, an edition-managing software application may be provided to query registries of client devices for edition information associated with a target software package. When retrieved, the edition information may then be stored in a universal storage location from which the edition-managing software application may generate an edition report that provides an accurate representation of actual installations of each edition of the target software package on the client devices. Further, in accordance with the present approach, a usage-tracking software program may be provided to retrieve a last used date of a target software package on client devices. If the last used date is beyond a threshold time period for the client devices, the enterprise may determine that the target software package is underutilized compared to a desired usage. Then, the target software package may be uninstalled from the client devices and installed on other client devices.
Tokenized media content management
A system and method for media content management include creating, via a digital vault, a container file comprising media content submitted by a user and content metadata; verifying, via the digital vault, a completeness of the content metadata associated with the media content in the container file; classifying, via the digital vault, the container file based on the completeness of the media content; identifying a salable content item that is to be put up for sale; creating, via the digital vault, a nonfungible token (NFT) container file and populating the NFT container file with the salable content item and NFT metadata; offering the specified ownership rights to the salable content item for sale via an NFT transaction; and updating the NFT container file to reflect a new owner of the ownership rights to the salable content after sale of the salable content item.
Method and apparatus for content management
A method and apparatus for content management are provided. The method and apparatus efficiently manage content so as to provide a convenient user interface in an electronic device supporting content playback, browsing and storage. The method includes obtaining attribute information of a content item from a storage device, registering the attribute information in a content database, determining content items to be played back by a content player using the attribute information registered in the content database, creating a content list on the basis of the determined content items, displaying the content list, and playing back a content item selected by a user from the content list.
Rule-based resource management system
Techniques for managing customer license agreements are described. In one embodiment, a user-specified resource metric of a license model and a user-specified limit of the user-specified resource metric are obtained. A request for permission to launch a new compute resource at a computing device of the provider network is obtained from a service within a provider network. The new compute resource having a property that is an amount of the user-specified metric. A determination is made that a launch of the new compute resource would cause the user-specified limit to be exceeded, and the request the request to launch the new compute resource is denied.
MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY RECORDING MEDIUM
A management system includes circuitry to receive an operation request for a specific device of one or more devices from a communication terminal used by a user for who user authentication has been successfully performed by a management system. The one or more devices and the communication terminal are communicating with each other to execute an event managed by the management system. The circuitry stores, in a memory, operation identification information and access information in association with each other. The operation identification information identifies a device operation associated with the operation request. The access information is associated with the user and used to access external storage. The circuitry uploads data acquired by the specific device according to the device operation corresponding to the operation identification information to the external storage using the access information associated with the operation identification information.
In-store reading system
A system and method for providing digital data content to a wireless device. Although a fee is typically charged for access to the digital data content, e.g., electronic books, the system and the method provides controlled access to this content for free while the wireless device is accessing the content in a specified location, e.g., a retail location. A content control server receives a request from the wireless device requesting access to the digital data content. The request is received over a secure connection, preferably a virtual private network (VPN). The content control server monitors how much of the digital data content has been provided to the wireless device, and/or an amount of time the wireless device has been accessing the digital data content. This content control server uses this monitored data to control, throttle, the provision of the digital data content to the wireless device.
INTEGRATED MULTI-PROVIDER COMPUTE PLATFORM
The present invention includes embodiments of systems and methods for addressing the interdependencies that result from integrating the computing resources of multiple hardware and software providers. The integrated, multi-provider cloud-based platform of the present invention employs abstraction layers for communicating with and integrating the resources of multiple back-end hardware providers, multiple software providers and multiple license servers. These abstraction layers and associated functionality free users not only from having to implement and configure provider-specific protocols, but also from having to address interdependencies among selected hardware, software and license servers on a job-level basis or at other levels of granularity.
SYSTEM, METHOD, AND DEVICE FOR DELIVERING COMMUNICATIONS AND STORING AND DELIVERING DATA
A system, method, and device includes a platform data storage that stores a wrap that secures an executable controller and executable sensors. The wrap is verified, optionally through a downloaded authentication driver. After verifying the wrap, the wrap is opened and a sister of the executable controller is installed into the platform memory to cooperate with the executable controller. Additionally or alternatively, the authentication driver may cooperate with the executable controller. The executable controller allows the platform processor to access data secured in a vault and/or verify the platform to create a connection to an application server.
Tokenized media content management
A system and method for media content management include creating, via a digital vault, a container file comprising media content submitted by a user and content metadata; verifying, via the digital vault, a completeness of the content metadata associated with the media content in the container file; classifying, via the digital vault, the container file based on the completeness of the media content; identifying a salable content item that is to be put up for sale via a nonfungible token (NFT) transaction; determining, via the digital vault, whether other stakeholders of the salable content item hold rights in the salable content item and whether consent for the NFT transaction of any such other stakeholder is required; and the digital vault prohibiting the sale of the salable content item until consent for the sale is received from each stakeholder from whom consent is required.
