System and method for authentication across devices
An authentication approach simplifies the process of authentication across devices, while increasing security. An authentication code is supplied through non-traditional channels, such as audio and visual channels, allowing more complex codes to pass between two devices for authentication with increased security, while reducing user interaction.

Methods and systems for multiple channel authentication
Methods and systems for multiple channel authentication are described. In one embodiment, a request for an interaction is initiated from within a mobile application. The request may include authentication information and contextual information relating to a current exchange between the mobile application and an organization. The user may be authenticated with the authentication information and the request may be routed to a representative based on the contextual information to continue the exchange.
Account Verification in Deferred Provisioning Systems
Provisioning a user account. A method includes, at a local entity contacting an identity system to begin user account provisioning. The method further includes receiving from the identity system a correlating factor related to a verification code sent to the user from the identity system. The method further includes receiving from the user, profile information entered into the local entity, where the profile information is to be stored in the user account. The method further includes receiving from the user the verification code corresponding to the correlating factor. The method further includes sending the correlating factor, user entered verification code and the user entered profile information to the identity system, where the identity system determines that the verification code properly correlates to the correlating factor, and as a result provisions the user account and stores the profile information in the user account.
Systems and methods for authenticating a user at a public terminal
Systems and methods for authenticating a user to access a public terminal are described. Disclosed embodiments may include reading, using the physical credential reader, a user identifier from the physical credential device. Disclosed embodiments may also include transmitting the public terminal identifier and the user identifier to a secure server. Further, disclosed embodiments may include receiving, after completing the transmission, a unique code from the secure server. Disclose embodiments may additionally include displaying the unique code on the display device. Disclosed embodiments may include receiving, after displaying the unique code, an authentication message from the secure server. Disclosed embodiments may further include, responsive to receiving the authentication message, authorizing the user to use a terminal command at the public terminal.

ENHANCING ELECTRONIC INFORMATION SECURITY BY CONDUCTING RISK PROFILE ANALYSIS TO CONFIRM USER IDENTITY
An email address is provided by a user when the user registers an account with a service provider. A unique ID is generated for the user. An email containing the unique ID is sent to the email address. The unique ID is embedded as a part of a URL link or in a loadable image. A user response to the email is detected. The user response includes a request to access the URL link or to load the image. Subsequently, the unique ID is retrieved from the request. The email address is confirmed as a valid email address if the retrieved unique ID is identical to the generated unique ID. A Turing test is conducted to determine whether the user is a computer bot. Access to the user account is granted only if the email address is confirmed as valid and the user is determined to not be a bot.
Key management using quasi out of band authentication architecture
A portable apparatus is removably and communicatively connectable to a network device to communicate authentication or authorization credentials of a user in connection with the user logging into or entering into a transaction with a network site. The apparatus includes a communications port to connect and disconnect the apparatus to and from the network device and to establish a communication link with the network device when connected thereto. A processor receives a secure message from the network security server via the port. The message has a PIN for authenticating the user to the network site, and is readable only by the apparatus. The processor either transfers, via the port, the received PIN to an application associated with the network site that is executing on the network device or causes the apparatus to display the received PIN for manual transfer to the application associated with the network site.

THIRD-PARTY VEHICLE OPERATOR SIGN-IN
Systems and methods to authenticate a vehicle operator for an autonomous vehicle on a vehicle service platform are provided. In one example embodiment, a computer-implemented method includes obtaining authentication request data indicative of an authentication request, the authentication request data including at least an operator identifier associated with the vehicle operator and a vehicle identifier associated with the autonomous vehicle. The method includes providing a service code associated with the authentication request to the autonomous vehicle. The method includes obtaining from a user device in response to providing the service code to the autonomous vehicle, operator data associated with the authentication request, the operator data including the service code. The method includes determining an authentication result associated with the authentication request based at least in part on the service code and the operator data. The method includes providing the authentication result to the user device.
