SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SECURELY GENERATING AND PRINTING A DOCUMENT
Systems and methods for securely generating and printing documents are disclosed. For example, processor(s) of a computer system may receive information for the document from a computing device through a network, verify the information for the document, and upon verification, generate document generation data using at least a portion of the information for the document. The document generation data may include document metadata that enables generation of an image of the document and/or the image of the document. Upon the processor(s) verifying first authentication information of a first code associated with a printing device received from the computing device through the network and second authentication information of a second code associated with the computing device received from the printing device through the network, the processor(s) may transmit the document generation data to the printing device through the network, and cause the printing device to print the image of the document.
System for advanced protection of consumable or detachable elements
A method of authenticating a consumable or detachable element of a continuous inkjet printer comprising: the controller of the printer generating a 1.sup.st item of random information that is dispatched to an authentication circuit of the element; encrypting the 1.sup.st item of information by the authentication circuit using a 1.sup.st encryption algorithm and a 1.sup.st secret key to form a 1.sup.st item of encrypted random information; dispatching the 1.sup.st item of information to the controller; encrypting the 1.sup.st item of information by the controller using a 2.sup.nd encryption algorithm and a 2.sup.nd secret key to form a 2.sup.nd item of encrypted random information; comparing the 1.sup.st item of encrypted random information with the 2.sup.nd encrypted item of random information to authenticate the consumable element; and if the consumable element is authenticated, dispatching at least one part of a 3.sup.rd key, termed the shared key, by the element to the printer.
Output system, information processing system, including circuitry to generate a character string to perform authentication for a user, and authentication method
An output system includes circuitry to generate information on a character string in response to an authentication request including user identification information transmitted from an output apparatus. The circuitry further transmits the information on the character string to an information processing device. In response to receiving the information on the character string and the user identification information from the output apparatus that has received the information on the character string and the user identification information from the information processing device, the circuitry further performs authentication for a user identified by the user identification information, based on the information on the character string and the user identification information, and transmits an authentication result to the output apparatus.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS AND AUTHENTICATION METHOD
An image processing apparatus of one embodiment includes an image processing unit and a controller. The controller receives biometric information for a user for a logon operation and re-orders user record entries in a table when a predetermined condition occurs. Each record entry in the table includes reference biometric information in association with user information. The re-ordering of the entries is based on user information stored in the user record entries. After the re-ordering of the user record entries in the table, the controller performs an authentication operation that includes comparing the received biometric information to reference biometric information in the re-ordered user record entries of the table until a match is determined.
LOGIC CIRCUITRY PACKAGES FOR REPLACEABLE PRINT APPARATUS COMPONENTS
A logic circuitry package for a replaceable print apparatus component includes a logic circuit and an interface to communicate with a print apparatus logic circuit. The logic circuit is configured to include a plurality of personalities, each personality of the plurality of personalities including an ID and a cryptographic key. The logic circuit is further configured to start a cryptographic session with the print apparatus logic circuit using a selected personality of the plurality of personalities, and transmit a consumable level value to the print apparatus logic circuit in response to a request from the print apparatus logic circuit independent of which personality of the plurality of personalities is the selected personality.
System and method for tracking physical characteristics of multifunction peripheral users to determine device user satisfaction
A system and method for tracking multifunction peripheral device user satisfaction captures user images and audio during device operation. User characteristics such as gestures, posture, spoke words or facial expressions are used in conjunction with device status information to determine whether the user is satisfied with the device. If not, remedial action is initiated, such as launching a virtual assistant on the multifunction peripheral touchscreen or summoning of a human assistant.
Information processing apparatus and non-transitory computer readable medium storing information processing program
An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to receive a device ID for identifying a processing request transmission device and a processing request from the processing request transmission device, and specify a related user related to the processing request based on the device ID and then execute processing according to the processing request.
Universal Secure Imaging Workflow
Embodiments disclosed include systems and methods for computer automated print services control comprising authenticating a user credential input via a user device. The system and method includes generating, by a printer driver comprised in the user device, a user interface comprising features supported by a plurality of printing devices. Further, it includes receiving via the user device over the network, a print instruction comprising the features supported by the plurality of printing devices connected to the computer system over the network. And based on the print instruction, generating a print job in an embodiment. Further, based on the user authentication at one of the plurality of printing devices, converting via a gateway, the received print instruction into a format compatible with that printing device and releasing the generated print job for printing at that printing device, according to an embodiment.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS THAT PERFORMS INSPECTION PROCESSING ON PRINT DATA AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus capable of controlling execution of inspection without increasing a time period required to complete printing. On a registration screen, whether or not to execute inspection of data to be printed is set, and keywords indicative of confidentiality are registered. Text information is extracted from the data to be printed, and whether or not any keyword matching the text information has been registered is determined. Execution of print processing of the data to be printed is controlled based on a result of the determination. When non-execution of inspection is set, the print processing of the data to be printed is executed without executing the determination, whereas when execution of inspection is set, the print processing of the data to be printed is controlled based on a result of the determination.
AUTHENTICATION SYSTEM, INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An authentication system in which an image forming apparatus authenticates a user, the authentication system includes: an obtainer that obtains, from a terminal apparatus, a mail address of, and security information on, the user; a verificator that verifies the security information at a verification point identified with the mail address; and an authenticator that authenticates the user if the security information is able to be verified correctly.
