Touchscreen display panel gripping mechanism and bezel
A bezel for overhead panels provides a grip or hand rest so the pilot is not required to maintain a hand at a specific overhead location in space to interactive with a touchscreen display device. Gripping mechanisms take the strain off the arm and allow for more precise inputs during turbulence. In a further aspect, the bezel includes features at known locations to tactilely identify the location. Such features may include indentations or protrusions.
Low profile computer support
Low-profile computer supports include features to reduce the thickness and improve the portability or storage capability of a computer system while it is disassembled, packaged, shipped, or moved. Some computer systems have a computing device and a dock device that can be stored and moved separately or that can store or support accessories associated with the computer system. Some computer systems have a movable stand configured to transition between a collapsed state and a deployed or standing state. Some stands include handles or grips for moving the computer systems while collapsed. Other computer systems include handles or grips to provide areas to more easily carry the computer systems. The handles or grips can have features such as a flexible material to hide or mask their appearance on the computer system.
Webcam Privacy Assembly
A webcam privacy assembly includes a frame that is comprised of an elastomeric material for positioning around an electronic monitor. A camera slot is integrated into the frame to facilitate a webcam on the electronic monitor to be exposed when the frame is positioned around the electronic monitor. A flap is movably integrated into the frame and the flap is aligned with the camera slot. The flap is positionable in a closed position or an open position to cover or uncover the webcam, respectively. A pair of first mating members is each of the coupled to the flap and a pair of second mating members is each coupled to the frame. Each of the first mating members is releasably matable to a respective one of the second mating members for retaining the flap in the closed position.
Display device
A display device includes first and second sidewall portions and a display module disposed therebetween that is folded with respect to an axis. A moving portion is connected to a first side of the display module and is disposed between the first sidewall portion and the second sidewall portion in a non-expanded mode. A link portion is connected to a second side of the display module. A driving integrated circuit is disposed below the display module and includes a heat discharge plate disposed thereon. The moving portion is configured to move in the first direction to bring the display device into an expansion mode in which the moving portion is farther displaced from the second side of the display module and the link portion is configured to expand in the first direction so that a portion of the link portion overlaps with the heat discharge plate.
Display screen assembly, electronic device, and method for detecting distance between display area and detection objection
A display screen assembly is provided. The display screen assembly includes a display screen, a first light source, a light conducting member, a receiving element, and a processor. The display screen includes a display region for displaying images and a non-display region surrounding the display region. The light conducting member faces the display region. At least one first light source faces at least one surface of the light conducting member. The at least one first light source is configured to emit a detection signal to the light conducting member. The light conducting member is configured to diffuse the detection signal to allow the detection signal to pass through the display region, to interact with a detection object to form a target signal. The receiving element is disposed in the display region and configured to receive the target signal.
Electronic devices with a motor that includes a stator with a non-uniform radius of curvature
A fan motor suitable for use in an electronic device, such as a consumer electronic device, is disclosed. The fan motor includes a stator and a rotor. In order to minimize a varying torque applied to the rotor, the stator includes modifications. For example, the stator includes stator teeth, each with an arc defined by a radius of curvature that varies. The radius (from a reference point to the arc) can vary in accordance with a sinusoidal curve. Furthermore, the corners of each stator tooth may be rounded. The rounded corners of the stator teeth may include a uniform (or constant, non-varying) radius of curvature. These enhancement are designed to provide a more uniform torque by the stator to the rotor. As a result, the rotation of the rotor is subject to smaller fluctuations, and the fan motor undergoes less vibration and generates less acoustical noise.
Display device
A display device according to an exemplary embodiment includes: a display panel; and a flexible printed circuit board that is connected to the display panel, wherein the display panel includes: a substrate that includes a display area including a plurality of pixels, and a non-display area which is a remaining area of the substrate; an insulation pattern that is disposed along one edge of the display panel and overlaps the flexible printed circuit board; and a data pad that is disposed between the display area and the insulation pattern.
Multi-position display with an unfixed center of rotation
A device for supporting an electronic display includes a support surface, a display mount configured to be coupled to a display, and a connection mechanism to connect the display mount to the support surface. The connection mechanism is configured to enable a rotation of the display mount between a first position and a second position. The device also includes a set of springs to provide a spring torque that counterbalances a gravitational torque exerted by the display. The connection mechanism causes a translation of the center point of the display relative to the support surface in concert with the rotation. The connection mechanism also causes the center of rotation of the display to shift during the rotation.
Display assembly having a feature illuminating system
A display assembly includes a front panel including a feature. A light source is behind the front panel. A light guide header is coupled to the light source. One or more fiber optic strands are coupled to the light guide header and routed proximate to one or more portions of the feature. The light guide header is configured to receive a portion of light emitted by the light source and guide the portion of the light into the one or more fiber optic strands to illuminate the one or more portions of the feature.
SUPPORT DEVICE AND DISPLAY DEVICE
A support device includes: a rear panel including a first surface attached to a back surface of a display, and a first coupling member fixedly attached to a second surface of the rear panel. The rear panel includes a base plate portion, a plurality of ribs, and a reinforcing member. The ribs are provided on a surface of the base plate portion corresponding to the first surface. Each of the ribs has a plate shape perpendicularly rising from a surface of the base plate portion and has a same height from the surface of the base plate portion. The ribs provide spaces between the back surface of the display and the base plate portion. The reinforcing member is provided in one or more of the spaces to reinforce the base plate portion. The one or more spaces are located at a position corresponding to the first coupling member.
