A device includes: a main unit that has a width smaller than a width of a display unit including a touch panel that detects a touch operation, the main unit being structured so that the display unit is provided on the main unit in a state in which the display unit includes a portion that does not overlap the main unit; a bottom portion coupled to the main unit, the bottom portion being placed on a mounting surface so as to be in contact with the mounting surface when the device is mounted on the mounting surface; and a support portion that supports the main unit, the support portion has one end of the support portion coupled to the main unit and another end of the support portion disposed in a direction away from the main unit with a space left between the another end and the main unit.
Rotatable door structure and electronic device casing therewith
A rotatable door structure includes a fixed casing, a door cover, and a hinge. The fixed casing has an opening. The door cover is pivotally connected to the fixed casing through the hinge. The hinge includes a shaft and a connection part. The shaft has a cam surface. The connection part has another cam surface and is rotatably connected to the shaft relative to a rotation axis. When the door cover rotates relative to the fixed casing through the hinge so as to expose the opening, the two cam surfaces abut against each other to move the door cover away relative to the fixed casing along the rotation axis. An electronic device casing includes the above rotatable door structure. Therein, the fixed casing includes an accommodating recess, which forms the opening and has at least one peripheral interface window.
Removable adhesive joint for computing device
Examples of computing devices including a processor, memory, and a display device housed within the same enclosure are described. In examples, the display device, which may include a cover glass, may be attached to the enclosure using a multilayer adhesive member, the multilayer adhesive including a first adhesive layer and a second adhesive layer disposed on opposite sides of a foam layer. The first and/or second adhesive layers may include two or more layers of a pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA), which may be separated using one or more adhesive carrier films. In examples, the first and/or second adhesive layers may include a low tack (e.g. removable) PSA for adhering to surfaces of the display and enclosure and for facilitation removal and re-workability of the adhesive joint.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE WITH A THERMAL AND EMI SHIELD
An electronic device is disclosed. The electronic device includes a shield that provides thermal and electromagnetic interference (“EMI”) shielding benefits. The shield is secured with fan assemblies by airtight seals to prevent air leakage and promote a pressured volume when the fan assemblies are running. Further, the shield can direct airflow from the fan assemblies to one or more thermally conductive components, where the airflow can convectively cool the thermally conductive components and exit the electronic device. The shield is made from a metal, and when the shield covers a circuit board, the shield protects an EMI barrier for integrated circuits located on the circuit board. Moreover, the shield can provide a single-piece, monolithic body that provides advantages over multiple shields, such as eliminating gaps in the shield for air leakage and EMI intrusion, increasing air circulation efficiency, and decreasing costs.
DISPLAYING AN OBJECT INDICATOR
Examples disclosed herein describe, among other things, a computing system. The computing system may in some examples include a touch-sensitive surface, a display, and at least one camera to capture an image representing an object disposed between the camera and the touch-sensitive surface. The computing system may also include a detection engine to determine, based at least on the image, display coordinates, where the display coordinates may correspond to the object's projection onto the touch-sensitive surface, and the display is not parallel to the touch-sensitive surface, in some examples, the detection engine is also to display an object indicator at the determined display coordinates on the display.

A system can include a display housing that includes a display surface and edges that define a centroid; a stand that includes a first portion, a second portion and a hinge assembly that couples the first portion and the second portion; and a turntable coupling, offset from the centroid, that rotatably couples the first portion of the stand to the display housing.
SPHERICAL VOICE CONTROLLED INTELLIGENT PERSONAL ASSISTANT
An interactive globe or globular virtual assistant has a spherical body shell comprising one or more high resolution LED panels. Within the globe there are microphones and circuitry for accepting voice recognition (commands) and reacting appropriately. Communication circuitry allows communication with networks such as the internet or cellular networks, speakers allow sound as well as visual display. The panels may be touch sensitive so that it may be controlled by soft buttons rather than voice commands, or it may be controlled by an app on a mobile device or a program on a computer, either locally or remotely. It may display almost limitless information, particularly global and map related information.
HIDDEN COMPARTMENT WITH PORTS FOR MINI PC OR PC STICK
One embodiment provides a display stand, including: a base supporting a dock; the dock having: a front that accommodates a display panel; a front face that extends upward from the front; and a back face that is substantially opposite to the front face; the back face including a cover that repositions to reveal an internal cavity disposed within the dock; the dock further including a surface forming a wall of the internal cavity, the surface having one or more power and data connectors. All-in-one with sliding mechanism to reveal removable modules
One embodiment provides an apparatus, including: a housing including: a compartment; the compartment having a panel and two side walls accommodating removable computer modules; the apparatus including a movable component that slides away from the compartment to reveal an inside of the compartment; the compartment including power and data connectors for coupling to the removable computer modules; where power is removed from the removable computer modules responsive to sliding away the movable component. Examples disclosed herein relate to a mat characteristic to process images. Examples include to acquire an image of a mat from a camera in a computing device; to process the image according to the mat characteristic in the computing device; and to display the processed image.
