Transformative information handling system display height brake
A portable information handling system transforms from a clamshell configuration to an all-in-one configuration by removing a keyboard from a main housing, sliding the display housing in a guide formed under the keyboard and raising a rear side of the main housing to elevate the display. A brake interfaces with the display housing through the guide to lock the display at variable heights. A brake release selectively releases the brake to allow display height adjustment by adjusting the relative position of the display housing at the main housing.
ANTI-THEFT SYSTEMS AND DEVICES FOR BATTERY-POWERED POWER TOOLS
A method is provided for locking and unlocking an electronic power tool. The method includes receiving, at a locking device, information associated with the electronic power tool, and generating, at the locking device, a lock code based on the received information. The method further includes transmitting, by the locking device, the lock code to the electronic power tool. The lock code is configured to lock the electronic power tool upon being received at the electronic power tool.
REMOTE CAPACITIVE INTERFACE
Computing devices, input devices, keyboard assemblies, and related systems include a set of conductive traces or leads configured to transfer a capacitive load from an appendage of a user or another capacitive load source from a remote location, such as on a keycap of the keyboard, to a conductive portion or electrode on the keyboard that is positioned near a touch-sensitive interface of a computing device. The capacitive load is thereby transferable through the conductive traces or leads to the touch-sensitive interface without having to directly apply the load, such as by touching a finger to the interface. This can reduce or eliminate the need for on-screen controls or keyboard interface elements in a touch screen device without having to use a more expensive and energy-draining wired or wireless connection between the computing device and a keyboard case or accessory for the computing device.
CORD RETAINER
A cord retainer is configured to be detachably disposed on an electronic device. The cord retainer includes a hook portion, a connection portion, and a clamp portion. The hook portion is configured to be fastened to the handle of the electronic device. The hook portion may be a tubular structure that extends along an extension direction.
The connection portion is connected to the hook portion. The clamp portion is connected to the connection portion, and is configured to retain a cord attached on the electronic device. The clamp portion may be a plate structure that extends along an extension plane that is parallel to the extension direction.
ELECTRONIC APPARATUS, EXTERNAL APPARATUS AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME
An electronic apparatus includes a locking unit to selectively lock a physical connection with an external apparatus and a control unit to control an operation mode of the electronic apparatus, according to a connection state with the external apparatus, in which the control unit controls the locking unit to lock the connection with the external apparatus, when the electronic apparatus is in an operation mode of using a graphic processing unit of the external apparatus.
MAGNETICALLY MOUNTABLE CABLE HUB
In one aspect, a cable hub includes a housing having a base and a wall. The base has an interior surface and an exterior surface. A plurality of cable ports is disposed in the wall. A mounting magnet is affixed to the interior surface of the base. The mounting magnet has a sufficient pull strength for magnetically mounting the cable hub to a ferromagnetic surface upon placement of the exterior surface of the base against the ferromagnetic surface. The cable hub may be a Universal Serial Bus (USB) hub. In another aspect, a kit includes the cable hub and at least one ferromagnetic plate. The ferromagnetic plate may be affixable to a surface using an adhesive material.
Mobile electronic device and expansion unit
A mobile electronic device includes a main framework having a motherboard, a back cover covering the main framework and having an expansion window, and an expansion unit is disclosed. The expansion unit includes a door cover covering the expansion window. The door cover includes a back plate and a lateral plate, the lateral plate having an opening. A functional module is disposed on an inner side of the door cover, electrically connected to the motherboard, and has a first side on which an operation interface is disposed. The operation interface faces the opening in the lateral plate.
SET AND DISPLAY DEVICE
Provided are a set and a display device. The set includes a display module including a display panel, a module mold frame, a front housing and a backplane. At least part of front housing is located on a light-emitting side of display panel and is disposed opposite to at least one side edge of module mold frame; front housing is provided with first and second connecting structures, the module mold frame has a first module mold frame side edge where a third connecting structure is disposed, the backplane of display module is provided with a fourth connecting structure. First and third connecting structures cooperate to limit the position of front housing in a plane parallel to a light-emitting surface of display module; second and fourth connecting structures cooperate to limit the position of front housing in a direction perpendicular to light-emitting surface.
Modular electronic device system
A modular electronic device system includes an electronic device and a cover for the device that allows the device to be mechanically and electrically mounted to a stand or device adapter on the rear side of the cover. The cover or device adapter can be connectable to modularly attachable and removable accessory devices and can provide electrical ports for powering and operating the accessory devices. While mounted to a stand, power and data communications can be provided to the electronic device, cover, and accessory devices from the stand or an external source. The modular components of the system can be interchangeable to allow the system to be adapted to many different settings and use cases based on the types of components included as the accessory devices and based on the number of accessory devices used.
