Pump system
A prosthetic system includes a prosthetic foot having an upper foot element with a concave-forward facing portion and foot portion extending forwardly therefrom. An intermediate foot element is disposed below the upper foot element and has a front portion coupled to the foot portion of the upper foot element. A lower foot element is disposed below the intermediate foot element. A pump system is coupled to the prosthetic foot and comprises a pump mechanism including a housing defining a cavity, and a membrane situated in the cavity. The pump mechanism is movable between an original configuration and an expanded configuration. An arm member is connected to the pump mechanism and operatively coupled to the intermediate foot element. The arm member is arranged to move the pump mechanism toward at least the expanded configuration upon movement of the intermediate foot element relative to the upper foot element.
Pre-Prosthesis Training Device
A pre-prosthetic training device is provided. The device provides an interim prosthetic device that aids in the standing, weight bearing, and balancing exercises during post-surgery rehabilitation therapy that are required before a prosthesis fitting. The device includes a residual limb support for receiving the residual limb of an amputee, an adjustable pylon for adjusting the height of the residual limb support, and a support base including a plurality of support legs for providing support to the pylon and residual limb support. The residual limb support includes a cushion having a recessed portion sized to receive the distal end of the residual limb of an amputee and for providing comfort and stability thereto. The residual limb support further includes an upper open end and a sidewall including a tapering portion that provides vertical and lateral access, respectively, of a residual limb into the residual limb support.
Couplable prosthetic device
A prosthetic device comprising an upper member, and a lower member having a conical terminating section, the conical terminating section fitting into a conical void defined in the upper member. A prosthetic device kit, comprising an upper member and a number of lower members each having a conical terminating section in which the conical terminating sections of each lower member fit into a conical void defined in the upper member.
Prosthesis assembly with adjustable diameter socket
The invention relates to a prosthesis assembly, comprising an outer stem (10) provided with a proximal opening (11), and at the distal end (12) thereof is provided with a connecting means (13) for fastening an additional component, and which is formed of a material that is rigid in the longitudinal extension thereof, in which at least one slit (14) extending at least partially in a longitudinal direction is inserted in order to allow deformation in a radial direction. The prosthesis assembly further comprises an inner stem (20) made of a flexible material and provided with a proximal opening (21), at least one tensioning device (30) that is affixed to the outer stem (10) and can be accessed by way of a diameter change of the outer stem (10). At least one electrode (40) is displaceably fastened to a side of the outer stem (10) that is facing the inner stem (20).
MAGNETIC LOCKING MECHANISM FOR PROSTHETIC OR ORTHOTIC JOINTS
A magnetic locking actuator for a prosthetic or orthotic device is provided. The actuator includes a first component including one or more magnets and a second component including one or more magnets. The first and second components are coupled to separate portions of the device. The magnets allow for adjustment of a length of the actuator to adjust an angular orientation of the first and second portions of the device. When magnets in the second component are aligned with magnets in the first component having an opposite polarity, a position of the second component is fixed relative to the first component, locking the actuator. When magnets in the second component are not aligned with magnets in the first component having the opposite polarity, the position of the second component is adjustable relative to the first component, thereby allowing adjustment of the height of the actuator.

Digital extenders with haptic feedback
Certain embodiments are directed to mechanical devices for augmenting dexterous reach and sensing of a user. The devices can include a proximal portion configured to receive an appendage of a user; a distal portion configured to detect sensory information; an articulation positioned between the proximal and distal portion to provide for motion of the distal portion via manipulation of the proximal portion; wherein the distal portion comprising a sensing element and the proximal portion comprises a feedback element, the feedback element being connected to the sensing element providing for physical extension of sensory capabilities of the appendage.
