An assembly includes a housing having a major face, a first minor face extending distally from a first side of the major face, and a second minor face extending distally from a second side of the major face. The major face, the first minor face, and the second minor face define an opening of the housing. An extension member extends distally from the major face between the first minor face and the second minor face, and is folded back over an edge of the major face to define a load-bearing surface. A lever coupled to a tray can contact and roll along the load bearing surface in response to an applied force to eject the tray from the housing.

A card connector including a body, a slider, a lock spring, and an urging member. The body includes a movement path and an abuttable portion. The slider is movable in Y-Y direction inside the movement path. The lock spring is provided at the slider 300 and is movable in the same direction. An engaging portion of the lock spring is engageable with an engaging recess of a card. The urging member in the Y direction moves the slider from a first position to a second position and brings the engaging portion into abutment with an inclined face of the abuttable portion. In a state where the slider is located at the second position and the engaging portion abuts the inclined face, a load is exerted from the card to the engaging portion, and the engaging portion is displaced in the X direction along the inclined face.

Compact flash retainer

A method and apparatus for retaining a removable module (such as a memory card) in engagement with an interface structure of a printed circuit board (PCB). The PCB is coupled to a tray, wherein the module is positioned between the PCB and the tray. The tray includes one or more forms configured to receive the module, and prevent the module from moving out of engagement with the interface structure of the PCB. A first form includes a depressed region formed in the tray, wherein the module is fitted within the depressed region. A slot, which extends through the tray, may be located adjacent to the depressed region, wherein an edge of the slot restricts movement of the module. A second form may include a raised lip, which is located adjacent to the module, and restricts movement of the module.

Disclosed is an electronic device card socket capable of preventing the breakage of a hinge and preventing noise (static), which is caused by movement between respective parts, in the tray-type card socket. The electronic device card socket according to one embodiment of the present disclosure includes a socket housing, a socket cover, an ejecting hinge part, and ejecting bar, and a movement preventing means. The socket housing has a space into which a tray equipped with a card is inserted. The socket cover is provided at the upper part of the socket housing. The ejecting hinge part is rotatably hinge-coupled to one side of the socket housing so as to push the tray forward and separate the same when the ejecting hinge part rotates. The ejecting bar is provided at the other side of the socket housing so as to move in the forward and backward directions, and is connected to the ejecting hinge part so as to rotate the ejecting hinge part when the ejecting bar moves forward and backward. The movement preventing means prevents the movement of the ejecting hinge part and/or the ejecting bar when vibration is generated between the parts of the card socket.
