Printing apparatus connected to a saddle finisher with image forming controlled based on a transparency of a cover sheet
A printing apparatus in which a controller controls an image forming unit. When a cover sheet is a first type of sheet, a normal image is formed on the cover sheet after forming the image on a body sheet and the cover sheet is conveyed to a saddle finisher without reversing the cover sheet. When the cover sheet has a higher transparency than the first type of sheet and is able to be reversed, a mirror image is formed on the cover sheet after forming the image on the body sheet. When the cover sheet is a third type of sheet having a higher transparency than the first type of sheet and is not able to be reversed by the reversing mechanism, a normal image is formed on the cover sheet after forming the image on the body sheet and the cover sheet on which the normal image has been formed is conveyed to the saddle finisher without reversing the cover sheet.
Media determining apparatus for determining transparency of a media, a media transport apparatus for detecting an end position of the medium and printing apparatus for controlling start of printing on a printing medium
To provide a media determining apparatus for enabling transparency of a medium to be determined at low cost, the media determining apparatus is provided with a transport section that transports a medium, a sensor including a light emitting device and a light receiving device to detect the medium, and a control section that detects the medium transported with the transport section corresponding to an output voltage of the sensor. The control section determines transparency of the medium by comparing the output voltage A of the sensor before a front end of the medium arrives at a detection position of the sensor, the output voltage B of the sensor when the front end arrives at the detection position, and the output voltage C of the sensor after the front end arriving at the detection position.
Information recording medium, information recording method, and information reproduction method
It is an object of the present invention to improve visibility for observation with naked eyes or for camera shooting without spoiling the appearance during marking inside a transparent medium using a laser. By irradiating an inside of a transparent medium with a laser, the present invention forms a micro-denatured region in each of a first layer and a second layer inside the medium. The micro-denatured regions in the respective layers are arranged out of alignment with each other on a two-dimensional plane (refer to FIG. 1).
INKJET PRINTER AND INKJET PRINTING METHOD
A printer includes a clear ink tank, a color ink tank, a clear ink injection head, a color ink injection head, a light source, and a controller. The controller includes a matte printing controller structured or programmed to cause clear ink to be injected from the clear ink injection head and to be irradiated by the light source to form a matte clear ink layer on a recording medium; and a color printing controller structured or programmed to cause color ink to be injected from the color ink injection head to form a color ink layer on the clear ink layer
Image processing device
An image processing device supplies image data to be used in an image forming apparatus, the image processing device including a control unit configured to process the image data in accordance with an image quality processing parameter, wherein the control unit distinguishes between an overprint region in which overprinting of a coat layer of a transparent material is to be performed on a transfer medium and a non-overprint region in which the overprinting is not to be performed, and adjusts a difference in image quality between the overprint region and the non-overprint region by using the image quality processing parameter.
PRINTING APPARATUS AND POST-PROCESSING APPARATUS
A printing apparatus includes a printer to print an image on a sheet, a conveying roller for conveying the sheet from the printer along a conveyance path, an optical sensor provided on the conveyance path, the optical sensor detecting the sheet being conveyed, a finisher to perform a finishing process on the conveyed sheet, based on detection information from the optical sensor, an operation panel operable to receive sheet type information about a transparency type of the sheet, and a controller (i) to control the finisher to perform the finishing process on the conveyed sheet if the sheet type corresponds to a first type of translucent sheet, and (ii) to control the operation panel to display a message indicating that the finishing processing cannot be performed if the sheet type corresponds to a second type of translucent sheet being different in transparency from the first.
Printing apparatus and post-processing apparatus
The present printing system obtains a transparency of a sheet to be subjected to printing, and based on the obtained transparency of the sheet, restricts execution of post-processing by a discharging portion.
PRINT DATA PROCESSING METHOD AND PRINT DATA PROCESSING APPARATUS
A white-plate graphic erosion process is performed on print data subjected to a RIP process in the following procedure. First, an erosion candidate region which is a candidate for a region in which a white-plate graphic is eroded is determined. Then, a region to be applied with an ink of a color other than white is determined. Then, an application target region is determined. Then, a region other than a region obtained by an erosion process out of the application target region is determined to be an erosion allowed region. Then, a region included in the colored region and the erosion allowed region out of the erosion candidate region is determined to be an erosion target region. Finally, the values of data of pixels included in the erosion target region among white-plate data are rewritten such that the amount of white ink applied to the pixels is reduced.
PRINT SYSTEM, PRINTING APPARATUS, METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
If it is determined that a sheet on which image data of the front cover is to be printed is the particular sheet, a printing apparatus prints on sheets the image data of the body in an order from an end of the body toward a head of the body, discharges the printed sheets without reversing, finally prints image data of the front cover on the particular sheet, and discharges the particular sheet without reversing by the reversing unit, or firstly prints a mirror image of the image data of the front cover on the particular sheet, discharges the particular sheet without reversing, next prints on sheets the image data of the body in an order from the head of the body toward the end of the body, reverses these printed sheets and discharges these printed sheet.
Information processing device, information processing method, and non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing program
An information processing device includes: an acquisition unit acquiring a designated value of a transmittance of one or more layers included in a plurality of layers stacked on each other and printed on a print medium, the plurality of layers including one or two image layers printed to be visible from one side of the print medium and a foundation layer serving as a foundation of the one or two image layers, the one or more layers including the foundation layer; and a decision unit deciding a layer configuration that is a configuration of the foundation layer, based on the designated value acquired by the acquisition unit.
