Colorimetric method, colorimetric system, and server
A colorimetric method is executed by a server that communicates with an information processing apparatus coupled to a printing apparatus and to a colorimetric device. The method includes: creating work information that includes print commanding information related to a command to print a chart image based on chart information and also includes colorimetry commanding information related to a command to perform colorimetry for the chart image; storing the work information; transmitting the print commanding information to the information processing apparatus; causing the information processing apparatus to command, according to the print commanding information, the printing apparatus to print the chart image; transmitting the colorimetry commanding information to the information processing apparatus; and acquiring colorimetry result information created as a result of the colorimetry performed for the chart image by the colorimetric device.
Image processing apparatus, image processing method, and program for forming correcting color image data for each paper type
An image processing apparatus includes a control unit configured to control execution of monochromatic calibration and multi-color calibration, and a registration unit configured to register paper types of paper to be used at time of execution of the monochromatic calibration, a monochromatic target value set for each of the paper types used for the monochromatic calibration, paper types of paper to be used at time of execution of multi-color calibration, and a multi-color target value set for each of the paper types used for the multi-color calibration. The image processing apparatus executes the multi-color calibration, after executing the monochromatic calibration, via the control unit by using paper of a paper type selected from common paper types out of the registered paper types and the monochromatic target value and the multi-color target value set for the selected paper type.
Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus includes a plurality of light emitting elements, a detector, a controller, and an image forming unit. The light emitting elements are arranged in at least one row. The detector is configured to detect a number of light emitting elements that emit light according to image data. The controller is configured to control a driving voltage for driving the light emitting elements based on the number of light emitting elements detected. The image forming unit is configured to form an image based on light emission of the light emitting elements according to the image data.
Image forming apparatus with misalignment correction capability
An image forming device includes an image forming unit, a fuser, a memory, and a control circuit. The image forming unit forms an image on a recording medium with a decolorable toner based on image data. The decolorable toner decolorizes at a first temperature and does not decolorize at a second temperature that is lower than the first temperature. The fuser has a plurality of regions extending in a direction orthogonal to a direction of conveyance of the recording medium. The fuser generates heat in each of the plurality of regions to fuse the image onto the recording medium. The memory stores a correspondence between the plurality of regions and positions of a plurality of areas positioned along a main scanning direction in the image data. The control circuit changes the correspondence based on a degree of color development or decolorization of the image.

A color management system for a printing system includes a color management service that controls quality control operations, such as calibration and quality checks, over a plurality of printing devices. The color management service generates a target print job having a quality control target made of color patches. The color management service also encodes metadata within the target print job using a control strip. The control strip encodes the metadata using different color patches and color intensities. The control strip is scanned at the printing device to decode the metadata and enable a user interface to complete the quality control operation.
