The present invention relates to a printing system for producing a digital printed image, in particular on a textile, having a data server which is designed to receive image data of a print order, at least one printing apparatus with at least one digital print head, in particular an inkjet print head, which is designed to receive and print at least one print file for a print order, a first raster image processor module which is provided on the data server and designed to make available the received image data of the print order as a converted file format that can be read and processed in the form of a printed image by the printing apparatus, wherein the image data in the converted file format can be transmitted to the printer. The at least one printing apparatus is designed with a second raster image processor module, by means of which the image data in the converted file format can be adapted in a printer-specific manner prior to the printing of a corresponding printed image. The present invention further relates to a method for producing a digital printed image, in particular on a textile, in which image data for a print order are sent to a data server, by means of a first raster image processor module the sent image data are converted into a data format which can be read and processed in the form of a printed image by at least one printing device having at least one digital print head, in particular an inkjet print head, and in which the image data in the converted file format are transmitted to the printing apparatus. The converted image data transmitted to the printing apparatus are adapted in a printer-specific manner on the printing apparatus by means of a second raster image processor module prior to the printing of a corresponding printed image.

An image forming apparatus for forming an image on a sheet includes a reading section, a determining section, a generation section, a searching section, and a placement section. The reading section reads a predetermined shape from an original document. The determining section determines whether or not the predetermined shape contains a first image. The generation section generates a first search condition based on the first image. The searching section searches for at least one second image fulfilling the first search condition from a storage apparatus storing a plurality of images. The placement section places the second image in a first area in which the predetermined shape is located.

Described herein are methods and devices for printing a large-size object on multiple sheets. The method includes receiving, at a printing device, a print job submitted by a user, wherein the print job includes a large-size object. The large-size object present in the print job is processed by the printing device to ascertain the number and sizes of sheets required for printing the large-size object. Then, the large-size object is printed by the printing device on multiple sheets based on the ascertainment.

A document generation system generates a plurality of form data of a first file format from document data; converts the plurality of form data of the first file format into a plurality of form data of a second file format; causes a display unit to display the plurality of form data of the converted second file format so as to be able to accept a storage request; and, in response to accepting a storage request for the plurality of form data of the second file format displayed on the display unit, combines the plurality of form data of the first file format corresponding to the plurality of form data of the second file format into data of the first file format and store the combined data in a storage unit.

A printing system includes a printing apparatus and a printing control apparatus. The printing apparatus obtains stored first attribute information of a sheet, and sends the obtained first attribute information to the printing control apparatus. The printing control apparatus includes an information storing unit and a first and second receiving unit. The information storing unit stores first and second attribute information of sheets. The first receiving unit receives first attribute information and the second sending unit reads sheet candidates corresponding to the received first attribute information and sends the sheet candidates to the printing apparatus. The printing apparatus further receives the received sheet candidates, displays the received sheet candidates, selects sheet information from the displayed sheet candidates, and sets the second attribute information of a selected sheet as attribute information of a sheet to be stored.

A non-transitory storage medium stores a program readable by a computer of an information processing apparatus. The information processing apparatus includes a communication interface configured to communicate with a printing apparatus. When executed by the computer, the program causes the information processing apparatus to perform: creating irreversibly-compressed data representing a to-be-printed image and reversibly-compressed data representing the to-be-printed image as print image data, the to-be-printed image being an image to be printed on a sheet, the print image data being image data for printing; and transmitting the created print image data to the printing apparatus.

An inkjet printing method includes: preparing a shape drawing; creating an image for an inkjet printing based on a color table or a boundary table; applying the image for the inkjet printing to an inkjet apparatus; and performing the inkjet printing based on the image by the inkjet apparatus, where the creating the image for the inkjet printing includes converting the shape drawing into a vector image, converting the vector image into a raster image, and converting the raster image into the image for the inkjet printing which is a black-and-white image.

A method of controlling an inkjet printer when printing on a substrate that is to be shrink wrapped on to an object (10), by loading an image file on to a raster image processor; undertaking raster image processing on the loaded image file to generate raster image data for controlling discharge of ink droplets on to the substrate; receiving an indication of a shape (19) of the object (10); and manipulating the generated raster image data in response to the indication of the shape (19) of the object (10) to alter the distribution and/or size of droplets applied to the substrate to take into account anticipated changes (14) in a dimension (11, 12, 13) of the substrate due to shrinkage into contact with the object (10). Systems and methods applicable, for instance, to the generation and usage of authentication images. In one aspect, unauthorized attempts to duplicate authentication images can be thwarted. In another aspect, there can be provision for authorized authentication image generation using low-resolution print devices.

The reception unit receives data described in Postscript from the external apparatus. The execution unit executes processing based on a command described in the data received by the reception unit. The setting unit performs a predetermined setting regarding execution of the processing. The determination unit determines, in a case where the reception unit receives data in which a command associated with a superexec operator is described, whether the execution unit executes the processing based on the command using the predetermined setting.
