Systems and methods for clipping images
Systems and methods for providing clipping paths for variable data publishing are disclosed. A clipping path element is part of a graphic editor that allows a user to define a clipping path in any shape including non-rectangular shapes and shapes made with curved segments. The original graphic is preserved, and the clipping frame defines the portion of the image that is displayed or printed. A plurality of clipping paths can be defined and stored to a library. Rules based on nonvariable or variable data publishing data may be used to retrieve the clipping paths from the library. A new document is composed and rendered that includes a clipping path applied to a portion of an image or the text.
Image forming apparatus, image forming method, and image forming management apparatus
An image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit that forms an image on a transfer medium on the basis of image data, a feeder that feeds the transfer medium, and a control unit that manages image data and controls the image forming unit and the feeder. In a case where a base image and an overprint image are printed by the same image forming apparatus, the control unit can manage first image data of the base image and second image data of the overprint image by associating the data with each other, and when a jam of the transfer medium is detected during output of an overprint image, the control unit causes a transfer medium to which the base image is output by the image forming apparatus to be replenished for print instead of a jammed transfer medium removed by jam processing.
Raster pixel object identification mechanism
A printing system is disclosed. The printing system includes an interpreter module to generate Tagged Object Bit-plane data corresponding to drawing objects for each colorant of a device color space during rasterization a print job data and a common buffer to store the Tagged Object Bit-plane data for each colorant.
Printing amount management apparatus and method
A printing amount management apparatus according to an embodiment communicates with an image processing apparatus which prints an image on a sheet and a decoloring apparatus which decolors an image formed on the sheet with a decolorable toner. A storage unit stores, in correspondence with each of a plurality of user records, a printing amount that sets a maximum number of times of printing in the image processing apparatus in association with the corresponding user record. A processor receives, from the decoloring apparatus via the communication interface, a number of sheets decolored by the decoloring apparatus according to an operation of a user corresponding to one of the plurality of user record. The processor increases, based on the received number of decolored sheets, the printing amount stored in the storage unit in correspondence with the one of the plurality of user record.
Image processing apparatus and image processing method
An image processing apparatus includes a memory to store instructions, and one or more processors to execute the instructions and cause the image processing apparatus to function as a count unit and a determination unit. The count unit counts an image object of gray in an input image as a color pixel, wherein the count unit does not count an image object of white in the input image as a color pixel. The determination unit determines whether the input image is a color document based on a number of color pixels counted by the count unit.
Image processing apparatus and image processing method for estimating time required for print processing
When time required for print processing is estimated, estimation in consideration of overlap between objects is performed in such a manner that the objects are regarded as objects with a predetermined simple shape.

IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS
In a case where another first region exists which faces the edge pixel across a second region on a line in a predetermined direction passing through the edge pixel of the first region, the correcting unit selects a correction amount for correcting the exposure amount applied by the exposing unit for the pixel to be corrected from information describing a plurality of correction amounts in accordance with a first number of pixels being a number of pixels on the line within the second region between the first region and the other first region and corrects the exposure amount for the pixel to be corrected in accordance with the selected correction amount.
