A printer head controller includes memory for storing command configuration information for a packet to be transmitted to a printer head, memory for storing print data to be transmitted to the printer head, and memory for storing printing parameters for the printer head. A command get circuit acquires commands included in the command configuration information. A data get circuit acquires the print data from the memory when a print command is in the configuration information and setting data from the memory when a setting command is in the command configuration information. A generation circuit generates the packets including the command(s) and data associated with the command(s) as acquired by the data get circuit.

A test image having a plurality of line rows is printed. The individual lines of the line rows are printed by different nozzles of a print head. The lines are thereby associated with the different line rows such that the lines of two directly adjacent line rows are not printed by all respective nozzles from two nozzle rows of the print head that are connected with one another via a common ink supply channel. Crosstalk between the nozzle rows, and print image artifacts of the test image that are linked therewith, may thus be advantageously avoided.

A controller circuit board outputs image data. A head circuit board controls a head unit in accordance with a setting data list. An engine circuit board controls a sheet transportation unit, and sets setting data in the setting data list in accordance with a command from the controller circuit board. The head circuit board receives the image data from the controller circuit board not through the engine circuit board. The controller circuit board outputs a backup command and thereby causes the engine circuit board to acquire the setting data list from the head circuit board, acquires it from the engine circuit board, and store it in a storage device, and outputs a restoration command and a setting data list read from the storage device and thereby causes the engine circuit board to renew the setting data list in the head circuit board.

A document generation system generates a plurality of form data of a first file format from document data; converts the plurality of form data of the first file format into a plurality of form data of a second file format; causes a display unit to display the plurality of form data of the converted second file format so as to be able to accept a storage request; and, in response to accepting a storage request for the plurality of form data of the second file format displayed on the display unit, combines the plurality of form data of the first file format corresponding to the plurality of form data of the second file format into data of the first file format and store the combined data in a storage unit.

An image forming apparatus includes a print head and a control circuit. The print head includes a plurality of light emitting elements arranged in a main scanning direction and a plurality of drive circuits corresponding to the light emitting elements, respectively. The control circuit is configured to add footer null image data after original image data corresponding to an image portion to be formed by one of the light emitting elements. The control circuit is configured to supply the original image data followed by the footer null image data to the print head, and cause the one of the light emitting elements to emit light in accordance with the original image data and then to be turned off in accordance with the footer null image data.

A recording apparatus performs converting each of recording data and control data for controlling a recording head into transfer data in a command format and transmitting the transfer data to the recording head via a transmission path, and detecting, in the recording head, an error in the received transfer data, and, in the transmission after detecting the error, reconstructs next transfer data in such a manner that a command that has been included in the transfer data in which the error has occurred among commands concerning the control data and that is scheduled not to be included in the next transfer data is included in the next transfer data, and then transmits the next transfer data reconstructed.

A test image having a plurality of line rows is printed. The individual lines of the line rows are printed by different nozzles of a print head. The lines are thereby associated with the different line rows such that the lines of two directly adjacent line rows are not printed by all respective nozzles from two nozzle rows of the print head that are connected with one another via a common ink supply channel. Crosstalk between the nozzle rows, and print image artifacts of the test image that are linked therewith, may thus be advantageously avoided.

According to an example, a printing system may include printing components, an input voltage engine to determine whether an input voltage level is outside of a predetermined voltage level range, and a printing components engine to control the printing components to operate in one of a normal mode and a reduced throughput mode based upon whether the accessed input voltage level is outside of the predetermined voltage level range.

A controller circuit board outputs image data. A head circuit board controls a head unit in accordance with a setting data list. An engine circuit board controls a sheet transportation unit, and sets setting data in the setting data list in accordance with a command from the controller circuit board. The head circuit board receives the image data from the controller circuit board not through the engine circuit board. The controller circuit board outputs a backup command and thereby causes the engine circuit board to acquire the setting data list from the head circuit board, acquires it from the engine circuit board, and store it in a storage device, and outputs a restoration command and a setting data list read from the storage device and thereby causes the engine circuit board to renew the setting data list in the head circuit board.

A printing device includes a head in which a plurality of nozzles configured to form dots by ejecting liquid onto a medium are arranged in a first direction, a first scanning section that performs a first scan, a second scanning section on which the head is mounted, the second scanning section and the medium moving relatively in a second direction, and a control section that causes the head to form the dots that are longer in the second direction than in the first direction, based on a pixel data group, wherein when printing is executed based on a pixel data group in which the first resolution is smaller than the second resolution, the control section offsets at least a part of the pixel columns from other pixel columns in the first direction by a predetermined distance that is less than an inverse number of the first resolution.
