Provided is a document file output apparatus capable of appropriately storing each document as different files depending on a difference in printing setting, even when printed materials which are to be different documents for each single sheet or every plurality of sheets are continuously read, a document file output method, and a computer readable medium storing a program for operating a computer as the document file output apparatus. The document file output apparatus each specifies the printing setting of each read printed material, for example, a layout, a difference in a size of the read printed material, presence or absence of framework printing, presence or absence of reduction printing, color/monochromatic setting, or image embedding, from the obtained image data, and outputs by dividing the document files before and after the read printed material in which the printing setting is changed.

A printing apparatus 100 performs print processing for a PDF file received via a communication unit 105. The printing apparatus 100 includes a CPU 101 and a HDD 104 storing the PDF file. The CPU 101 controls the HDD 104, secures a storage area corresponding to a maximum size of the PDF file that can be processed by the printing apparatus 100 each time reception of the PDF file is started, and sequentially stores PDF files received for each secured storage area. The CPU 101 updates a size of the secured storage area from the maximum size of the PDF file that can be processed by the printing apparatus 100 to an actual size of the PDF file having been received completely. The CPU 101 performs control so that the PDF files stored in the HDD 104 are processed in an order of reception start.

A web-enabled standalone application may, in selected implementations, prevent received license-controlled image data from unauthorized re-use, editing, or distribution, and permits image processing, such as applying the International Color Consortium's color correction process, at the local control device. The web-enabled standalone application may further generate a printer specific byte stream based on post-image processed data, providing a color managed workflow independent of local control device operating system print drivers.

The present invention generally relates to a method (34) for controlling a drying procedure of a printed product and an industrial printing machine (10). The printed product is manufactured by the industrial printing machine (10). An image to be printed is split into several image cells. For each image cell a total amount of ink to be used and an average lightness value of the ink to be printed within the respective image cell are determined. For each image cell a cell-dependent amount of infrared radiation to be applied for drying the ink to be used within the respective image cell is determined based on the total amount of ink to be used and the average lightness value determined in view of the respective image cell. A mixture of the drying procedure to be applied for drying the ink to be used within the image to be printed is determined based at least on the cell-dependent amounts of infrared radiation to be applied and a moving speed of the printed product. The mixture comprises at least a ratio of an overall amount of infrared radiation and an overall amount of convective heating.

Example embodiments presented herein are directed towards the implementation of a FPGA where a printing core may be dynamically reconfigured with respect to a currently used printing type. Example embodiments are also directed towards print handling, direct memory access printing, and the use of an internal FPGA timer.

An image processing system for sequentially executing processes includes a process execution control apparatus to control an execution of the processes, and an image generation-output control apparatus to control an execution of image generation-output operation. The process execution control apparatus includes a control-side drawing information generator to generate drawing information to be referred when an image forming apparatus performs the image generation-output operation. The image generation-output control apparatus includes an output-side drawing information generator corresponding to the control-side drawing information generator. The control-side drawing information generator excludes an execution result of a designated process item from execution results of a plurality of process items, to be executed for generating the drawing information, to generate designated-information-excluded image information. When process contents of the designated process item is set at the image generation-output control apparatus, the output-side drawing information generator executes the plurality of process items based on the designated-information-excluded image information.

An image forming apparatus includes a control unit that generates a valid region signal corresponding to the length of a paper sheet of a regular size in the conveyance direction thereof, and performs control to form an image on the paper sheet based on the valid region signal, wherein, when an image is formed on a long paper sheet having a longer length than the paper sheet of the regular size, the control unit generates the valid region signal in each channel, performs control for generating the next valid region signal in a period during which the valid region signal is not generated in any of the channels, generates a continuous valid region signal corresponding to the long paper sheet by combining the valid region signals in the channels, and performs control to form an image by reading out image data based on the continuous valid region signal.

An image processing system for executing a plurality of processes includes a process execution control apparatus to control an execution of the plurality of processes, and an image generation-output control apparatus to control an execution of image generation-output operation, The process execution control apparatus includes a process execution controller to control the execution of the processes, a control-side drawing information generator to generate drawing information to be referred when performing the image generation-output operation based on information of a target image to be output.
