A printer may include a memory configured to store remaining amount-related information related to a remaining amount of color material in a single-purpose color material cartridge mounted on the printer. The printer may send first printer information to a server in a case where the single-purpose color material cartridge is mounted on the printer, and send second printer information to the server in a case where the general-purpose color material cartridge is mounted on the printer. The server may determine whether, regardless of which of the first printer information and the second printer information has been received from the printer, the remaining amount-related information included in the received first printer information or the received second printer information satisfies a predetermined condition, and execute a shipping process for shipping a new single-purpose color material cartridge in a case where the predetermined condition is satisfied.

A printing device includes a mounting part to which consumables to be used for printing is mounted, a print engine configured to print an image on a recording medium using the consumables, a display configured to display information regarding the consumables, and a controller. The printing device is operable based on a concluded contract with a contractor for the consumables used for printing. The controller is configured to perform obtaining arrival time information of a first consumable, determining a model of the consumables, and displaying consumable handling related information on the display based on the arrival time information and a determining result.

A hybrid ink limit is applied during the creation of an ICC profile. The hybrid ink limit takes into account a percentage total area coverage (TAC) ink limit and a volume-based ink limit. The percentage TAC ink limit is specified using an input from an operator. The volume-based ink limit is retrieved based upon the media for the ICC profile. Both ink limits are applied to primary color combinations for color patches to be printed in a test chart used to capture measurement data to create the ICC profile. A combination of primary colors at exceeds either ink limit is adjusted to meet the ink limit. The adjusted combination is used in the test chart to generate the measurement data for the ICC profile. After creation of the ICC profile, the volume-based ink limit is applied to the ICC profile color combinations to identify those combinations still over the ink limit.

An image forming apparatus is configured to obtain information indicating the capacity of a toner container. In accordance with the obtained information, a gamma table for correcting the luminance value of a printing-target image is determined and the luminance value of the image is corrected by using the determined gamma table.

An image forming apparatus configured to perform image formation using a component unit configured to be attachable to and detachable from a main body of the image forming apparatus is provided. The image forming apparatus includes: an access unit configured to access a storage device included in the component unit attached to the main body; and a control unit configured to control the access unit to read and update information stored in the storage device. The storage device includes a first area and a second area configured to store use information indicating a use state of the component unit, and updating of the use information stored in the first area by the control unit is configured such that updating only within a predetermined limit is permitted, and no limit is provided on updating of the use information stored in the second area.

The example method further comprises initiating execution of the process black print of a print job by the print device using the set mixture of the plurality of print supply as overlapping colorant with the black print supply of the print device.

A terminal device may obtain specific information stored in a memory. The specific information may include at least one of region information indicating a region where the terminal device is used and model information of a printing device used by the terminal device. The printing device may be configured to execute printing by using a plurality of cartridges corresponding to a plurality of colors. The terminal device may determine whether a predetermined condition is satisfied or not by using the specific information, and in a case where it is determined that the condition is satisfied, send a first page request and color information to a server. The color information may indicate a selected color selected from the plurality of colors.

An image forming apparatus on which a replaceable container storing a recording material is mounted includes an image forming unit configured to form an image using the recording material, a determination unit configured to determine whether the container satisfies a predetermined condition, an acquisition unit configured to acquire an amount of the recording material used for image formation in a predetermined period and stored in the container determined as a container that satisfies the predetermined condition, a memory configured to accumulate information indicating the amount of the recording material acquired by the acquisition unit, and a prediction unit configured to predict a number of days about replacement of the container, based on the information indicating the amount of the recording material and accumulated in the memory.

A logic circuitry package for a replaceable print apparatus component comprises an interface to communicate with a print apparatus logic circuit, and at least one logic circuit. The logic circuit may be configured to identify, from a command stream received from the print apparatus, parameters including a class parameter, and/or identify, from the command stream, a read request, and output, via the interface, a count value in response to a read request, the count value based on identified received parameters.
