IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD FOR IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus on which a replaceable container storing a recording material is mounted includes an image forming unit configured to form an image using the recording material, a determination unit configured to determine whether the container satisfies a predetermined condition, an acquisition unit configured to acquire an amount of the recording material used for image formation in a predetermined period and stored in the container determined as a container that satisfies the predetermined condition, a memory configured to accumulate information indicating the amount of the recording material acquired by the acquisition unit, and a prediction unit configured to predict a number of days about replacement of the container, based on the information indicating the amount of the recording material and accumulated in the memory.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM
An image processing apparatus includes circuitry. The circuitry acquires colorant set information indicating at least one colorant set that reproduces a spot color. The circuitry classifies, according to colorant mounting information indicating a colorant mounted on an image forming apparatus, the at least one colorant set into first and second colorant sets. The spot color is reproduceable with the first colorant set without a replacement of the colorant mounted on the image forming apparatus. The spot color is reproduceable with the second colorant set with a replacement of the colorant mounted on the image forming apparatus. The circuitry displays the at least one colorant set on a display on which the at least one colorant set is identifiable as one of the first colorant set and the second colorant set. The circuitry receives a selection of the first colorant set that is used to reproduce the spot color.
PROVIDING USER INTERFACE BASED ON STATUS OF CONSUMABLES FOR IMAGE FORMATION
A device includes a user interface device, a processor, and a memory storing instructions executable by the processor, wherein the processor executes the instructions to determine whether a toner in an image forming apparatus is required to be refilled, to determine a status of at least one consumable used in an image formation operation using a test pattern when the toner is required to be refilled, and to provide the user interface device with a user interface corresponding to the determined status of the at least one consumable.
LOGIC CIRCUITRY
A logic circuitry package for a replaceable print apparatus component comprises an interface to communicate with a print apparatus logic circuit, and at least one logic circuit. The logic circuit may be configured to identify, from a command stream received from the print apparatus, parameters including a class parameter, and/or identify, from the command stream, a read request, and output, via the interface, a count value in response to a read request, the count value based on identified received parameters.
SEALED INTERCONNECTS
Examples of a print liquid supply unit are described herein. In some examples, the print liquid supply unit includes an electrical interconnect. In some examples, the electrical interconnect is sealed in a supply joint from an outside of the supply unit to an inside of the supply unit. In some examples, the supply joint is welded to join housing components of the supply unit.
Image forming apparatus and method of controlling the same, and storage medium
An image forming apparatus to which a containing a recording material is attached removably includes a specifying unit configured to specify a usage amount of the recording material that has been used for printing in a predetermined period, and a prediction unit configured to predict a remaining period for using the attached container, based on a remaining amount of the recording material contained in the attached cartridge and the specified usage amount. The specified usage amount does not include a usage amount of the recording material which has been used in the predetermined period by the image forming apparatus which has been in a predetermined state.
IMAGE-FORMING DEVICE PERFORMING PRINTING PROCESS ACCORDING TO MODE SWITCHED BETWEEN NORMAL PRINTING MODE AND EXTENDED PRINTING MODE
In an image-forming device, a drum cartridge and a developing cartridge are detachably attached to a frame. A controller is configured to perform: a drum replacement necessity determination process; and a mode switch process. The drum replacement necessity determination process determines, based on life information for the drum cartridge, whether replacement of the drum cartridge is necessary. The mode switch process switches a mode of a printing process between a normal printing mode and an extended printing mode. The normal printing mode allows the image-forming device to perform the printing process when the replacement of the drum cartridge is determined to be unnecessary. The extended printing mode allows the image-forming device to perform the printing process on a condition that the developing cartridge attached to the frame is not replaced with another developing cartridge in a state where the replacement of the developing cartridge is necessary.
Image forming apparatus with function of preventing secondary infection
An image forming apparatus for forming an image on paper includes a body surface temperature measuring sensor, a user interface, a communication interface, and a controller. The body surface temperature measuring sensor measures the body surface temperature of the operator in a non-contact manner. The user interface presents a message to the operator. The communication interface transmits a message to the administrator who manages the image forming apparatus. When access to the surface or the inside of the image forming apparatus is required and the body surface temperature of the operator is equal to or higher than a threshold temperature, the controller transmits a message requesting to touch the surface or the inside of the image forming apparatus to the administrator by the communication interface and presents a message requesting not to touch the image forming apparatus to the operator by the user interface.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD OF IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An apparatus comprises a receiver configured to receive, as a request for a remaining amount of a consumable item and a color for remaining amount display of the consumable item in the apparatus, information relating to a transmission source of the request, and a transmitter configured to transmit the remaining amount and the color to the transmission source in response to the request. The transmitter is configured to acquire a background color of the remaining amount display in response to the request, and when the background color acquired and a first display color set in advance as the color of the remaining amount display are determined to be close to each other according to a prescribed standard, transmit a second display color different from the first display color and the remaining amount to the transmission source.
