Consumable component identifiers
An example print device may comprise a consumable component comprising a human-indiscernible hardware-based identifier. The example print device may also comprise a sensor to read the human-indiscernible hardware-based identifier.
Method, apparatus, and system for recognizing target object
Embodiments of the present specification provide a target recognition method, apparatus, and system. The method comprises: obtaining an image recognition result and a radio frequency recognition result of target objects in a target region, and then determining the distribution of the target objects in the target region according to the radio frequency recognition result and the image recognition result. Since the radio frequency recognition result and the image recognition result are fused, the target objects in the target region can be accurately recognized, so as to improve the recognition accuracy.
ISOLATED POS TERMINAL CONNECTIVITY
A system and method of providing two-way communication between an isolated POS system and a website are described. The POS system operates as an air gap system. In response to detecting a trigger event the two-way communication is initiated for installation, diagnostic and repair services. POS information for transmission to the website through the internet is generated using a QR code that includes the website address and a data payload that depends on the desired service. The QR code is read by a smart phone and transmitted to the website. The website responds by sending response data dependent on the QR code and desired service. The response data is communicated to the POS system via another QR code for further operations by the POS system based thereon.
PRINTER CALIBRATION UTILIZING NON-PRODUCTION FRAMES
In an example of the disclosure, a print job is received. The print job is to be printed upon a roll media at a printer, and includes a set of production frames 1-n. Printing of the production frames, a non-production frame x and a non-production frame y is caused. The non-production frame x includes an instruction to modify a non-printing apparatus that is to perform an action upon the printed print job, and is printed after the printing of production frame 1 and before the printing of production frame n. The non-production frame y includes a diagnostic and is printed after the printing of production frame 1 and before the printing of production frame n. The diagnostic is scanned to generate scan data. The scan data utilized to perform a calibration operation at the printer.
CONSUMABLE COMPONENT IDENTIFIERS
An example print device may comprise a consumable component comprising a human-indiscernible hardware-based identifier. The example print device may also comprise a sensor to read the human-indiscernible hardware-based identifier.
Support and capsule for preparing a beverage by centrifugation, system and method for preparing a beverage by centrifugation
A capsule for the preparation of a beverage can include a container and a beverage ingredient contained therein. The container can include at least one support having a section on which a plurality of sequences of symbols is represented; each symbol is sequentially readable, by a reading arrangement of an external device, while the capsule is rotated along an axis of rotation. Each sequence can code a set of information related to the capsule, and at least one of the sequences can include symbols defining a preamble sequence that allows determination of a position of the symbols in the associated sequence coding the set of information related to the capsule. The container can include a cup-shaped body having a flange-like rim and a lid connected to the body, the support can be on a bottom of the rim, and the bottom of the rim can be opposed to the lid.
Spherical identifiers
A spherical identifier may, in an example, include a sphere including a plurality of shells forming the sphere, a radially-defined code being discernable using the arrangement of the plurality of shells. A three-dimensional object identifier may, in an example, include a number of spheres manufactured into the body of the three-dimensional object wherein each of the spheres comprise a plurality of shells; the shells constituting a radially definable code.
Back or hip tag with improved moisture resistance for tracking animals and method of producing same
A tracking tag is disclosed that includes an identification tag fashioned from virgin paper, a pocket fashioned from the identification tag or adjacent the identification tag, the pocket housing a radio frequency identification (RFID) chip, and a laminate layer encasing the identification tag and pocket. A method of fashioning the tracking tag is also disclosed.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING IMAGING PARAMETERS
A system that comprises an X-ray imaging device for capturing an X-ray image on an imaging film, and a device for reading out said imaging film. The imaging film includes an optically readable marking, and the X-ray imaging device and/or the readout device includes a device for reading information stored on the data carrier, the data device being designed to register the optically readable marking using said readout device. A method for providing information for a readout device is also disclosed.
ELECTRONIC CONTACT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
An electronic contact management system where application users create, manage, and update electronic contact cards. The electronic contact card management system uses a handshake exchange or unique electronic identifiers to allow users to share and/or exchange their electronic contact cards with others. Contact information is stored on a remote computing device and accessed through web applications or portals in a digital rolodex. When a user of the system updates their contact information, the system updates their electronic contact card, thereby updating each digital rolodex. The system consolidates all of the user's contacts into an intuitive and intelligent contact book, providing quick access to communicate with connections made in their professional or social circles. The system maintains, updates, and adds to the user's contact information as a contact's information is changed or updated.
