Detection of images in relation to targets based on colorspace transformation techniques and utilizing infrared light
Techniques to improve detection and security of images, including formation and detection of matrix-based images. Some techniques include logic to process image data, generate one or more colorspaces associated with that data, and perform colorspace conversions based on the generated colorspace. The logic may be further configured to generate an image based on the colorspace conversions, including but not limited to a matrix bar code. The logic may be further configured to apply one or both of an ultraviolet layer and an infrared layer to the image, e.g. matrix barcode, generated from the colorspace conversion(s). Other embodiments are described and claimed.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TRASMITTING FINANCIAL INFORMATION VIA COLOR MATRIX CODE
An apparatus may include a memory to store instructions; and processing circuitry, coupled with the memory, operable to execute the instructions. When executed, the instructions may cause the processing circuitry to identify a matrix code; read a first layer of the matrix code, the first layer comprising a first account identifier associated with an account, wherein the first layer corresponds to a first color channel; and read a second layer of the matrix code, the second layer comprising a set of account data, associated with the account, wherein the second layer corresponds to a second color channel, different than the first color channel.
Composite security marking
The present disclosure relates to the field of anti-counterfeit protection of products. Specifically, the disclosure is directed to a composite security marking for a physical object, in particular to an anti-counterfeit product marking. In particular, without limitation, such composite security marking can be used in connection with or can form a component of a multi-component security system, in particular of an anti-counterfeit protection system, which is also disclosed herein as part of an overall solution for anti-counterfeit protection. The composite security marking comprises a physical unclonable function, PUF, and a representation of a digital signature or of a pointer indicating a location where said digital signature can be accessed. The digital signature digitally signs a hash value resulting from application of a predetermined cryptographic hash function to data representing a response generated by the PUF in reaction to a challenge of a predetermined challenge-response authentication scheme.
CODE READING DEVICE, METHOD, AND PROGRAM
A POS terminal (code reading device) according to one example embodiment of the present invention includes: a code reading unit that reads information of a code based on a reflected light from the code attached to an item; and a discount processing unit that makes a discount of the item when the information of the code is not read by using a first light being irradiated on the code and the information of the code is read by using a second light being irradiated on the code, wherein the second light is different from the first light.
Embedding an optically-detectable pattern of information in an electrical element
An electrical element is fabricated including an optically-detectable pattern of embedded information. An initial physical design is received for an electrical element that performs an electrical function, together with a pattern of information to be embedded in the electrical element. An encoding region is designated within the initial physical design of the electrical element. Information-encoding patterns are determined for one or more thin-film layers in the encoding region to form an optical layer structure that encodes the pattern of information. The initial physical design and the information-encoding patterns are combined into a modified physical design which is used to fabricate the electrical element. The fabricated electrical element performs the electrical function and forms an optically-detectable interference image including the embedded pattern of information when illuminated by incident light.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR UNIQUE IDENTIFIER DETECTION BASED ON INVISIBLE LIGHT
An invisible light sensing device senses invisible light from a plurality of invisible light emitting or reflecting objects in which each of the invisible light emitting or reflecting objects emits or reflects invisible light in an identification pattern that is distinct from other identification patterns. An identification pattern is based on a sequenced pulsing pattern of invisible light that is emitted by an invisible light emitting object to form the identification pattern. An identification pattern is also based on an invisible light reflective coating that is applied to an invisible light reflecting object.
STRUCTURE THREE-DIMENSIONAL CODE AND ANTI-COUNTERFEITING METHOD
A structural three-dimensional code and an anti-counterfeiting method. The structural three-dimensional code includes an anti-counterfeiting feature layer (11); the anti-counterfeiting feature layer (11) has one or more convex or concave coding patterns (12, 22); and in the anti-counterfeiting feature layer (11), regions with different heights are identified by different colors.
