ORTHOPEDIC DEVICE HAVING A FOOT PART, A LOWER-LEG PART AND A THIGH PART

An orthopedic device that includes a foot part, a lower-leg part, and a thigh part. The foot part is connected to the lower-leg part for pivoting about a first pivot axis by an ankle joint. The lower-leg part is connected to the thigh part for pivoting about a second pivot axis by a knee joint. The foot part is connected to the thigh part by a force-transmitting apparatus. The force-transmitting apparatus causes a dorsal flexion of the foot part in the event of a knee flexion over a first knee flexion angle range and causes a plantar flexion of the foot part in the event of further knee flexion after a knee flexion limit angle has been exceeded.

A movable joint for use in a prosthetic or orthopedic system includes first and second joint sections arranged to rotate relative to one another. At least one shaft member is attached to and arranged to rotate relative to the first or second joint sections. A translating member is attached to the at least one shaft member. Translation of the translating member along a length of the at least one shaft member drives rotation of at least the first joint section and the second joint section.

ORTHOPAEDIC JOINT AND ORTHOPAEDIC DEVICE

The invention relates to an orthopedic joint with a first component, a second component that is arranged on the first component such that it can be swiveled about a swivel axis, and at least one damper that is configured and arranged to damp a swiveling of the first component relative to the second component, and an actuator for swiveling the first component relative to the second component in at least one direction. According to the invention, the actuator is arranged on the first component or the second component on a medial or lateral side such that it can be detached.

UPPER LEG PROSTHESIS ADAPTER

The invention relates to a thigh prosthetic component for connecting to a thigh shaft, having a knee joint that can be pivoted between a stance position and a swing position and has a proximal knee joint upper part and a distal knee joint lower part which are connected by a ventral articulated arm and a dorsal articulated arm, wherein the ventral articulated arm is articulated to the proximal knee joint upper part via a ventral, upper knee joint axis, and is articulated to the distal knee joint lower part via a ventral lower knee joint axis, and the dorsal articulated arm is articulated to the proximal knee joint upper part via a dorsal, upper knee joint axis, and is articulated to the distal knee joint lower part via a dorsal lower knee joint axis, and an ankle for the pivotable connection of a foot part to a lower leg unit connected to the knee joint. To provide a thigh prosthetic component that enables a natural gait pattern and is more energy-efficient and stable for the patient, it is provided that the lower leg unit has a ventral connecting element and dorsal connecting element designed to transmit thrust and traction, wherein the ventral connecting element is pivoted at one end to the foot part by a ventral ankle axis and at the other end to the distal knee joint lower part, and the dorsal connecting element is articulated at one end to the foot part by a dorsal ankle axis and at the other end to the proximal knee joint upper part and the dorsal articulated arm by the dorsal upper knee joint axis such that an adjustment of the knee joint from the stance position into the swing position causes a dorsal extension of the foot part.

Orthopedic device

An orthopedic device for the orthotic or prosthetic provision of a patient. The orthopedic device includes a knee joint which has a proximal upper part and a distal lower part arranged pivotably thereon, an ankle joint, a pivoted foot part which can be fastened distally to the ankle joint, and a shin part arranged between the ankle joint and the knee joint. The upper part of the knee joint or a thigh part fastened thereto that can be attached to the patient's body and is coupled with the foot part by a force transfer device, which causes a plantar flexion of the foot part when a knee is flexed.

Modular lower limb prosthesis system
