DEVICE FOR COUNTING OBJECTS
A counting device including a wall that delimits an internal space; an object counter that is positioned in the internal space and includes a measuring lens, which optically delimits a detection zone outside the counting device. The wall of the counting device includes an aperture positioned in front of, preferably centered relative to, the measuring lens, the measuring lens and the aperture being arranged to transmit to the counter a flux emitted by the objects present in the detection zone.
Arrangement and method for counting articles
A method and an arrangement for detecting and counting articles are disclosed, performing the steps of: providing a detecting station arranged along a passageway for the articles, the detecting station being adapted to establish at least a scanning radiation beam at a cross section of the passageway; passing articles past the detecting station, the detecting station detecting an article upon sensing at least a partial interruption of the scanning radiation beam; and obtaining a count of the detected articles through the passageway, wherein the detecting station include first and second detecting assembly arranged at a predetermined distance from each other along the direction of travel of the articles, which first and second detecting assembly establish a respective scanning radiation beam on a first, respectively second scanning plane at a corresponding cross section of the passageway, and wherein at least a first predetermined reference section of the articles is detected at each scanning plane; a travelling speed of each article is calculated based on the time used by the at least one reference section of the article to travel the predetermined distance between the first and the second scanning planes; at least a second predetermined reference section of the articles, which is separate from the first reference section, is detected at least at one of the first and second scanning plane; and a count of the articles is obtained by calculating a length thereof from the calculated travelling speed and by calculating the time used by the article to cross at least one of said first and second scanning plane.
Systems and methods for monitoring layer poultry houses
Systems and methods for monitoring poultry house egg production. The system includes: a conveyor for conveying poultry eggs; at least one laser sensor directed in direction of said conveyor for measuring distance of said conveyor's surface and poultry eggs conveyed thereupon; a computer coupled with said at least one lase sensor; wherein, number of poultry eggs passed through said conveyor at a given moment is determined by identifying and analyzing fluctuations in measured distance from said at least one laser sensor.
Goods shelf system and method of monitoring items thereof
Embodiments of this disclosure provide a goods shelf system and a method of monitoring items of the goods shelf system. The goods shelf system comprises: a goods shelf comprising a bearing body for bearing an item; a signal transmitting unit located on a side of the bearing body; a plurality of signal receiving units, located on the bearing body, for receiving a signal transmitted by the signal transmitting unit; and a processing unit, electrically connected with the signal receiving unit, for acquiring a storage state of the item on the bearing body according to an signal outputted by the signal receiving unit, wherein one or more of the plurality of signal receiving units shielded by the items are not able to receive the signal transmitted by the signal transmitting unit.
DYNAMIC REGION BASED APPLICATION OPERATIONS
Techniques are disclosed for a hybrid undo/redo for text editing, where non-linear undo and redo operations are performed across dynamic regions in a document and linear undo and redo operations are performed within the dynamic regions in the document. In an example, the hybrid undo/redo may be achieved by maintaining respective region offset values for the dynamic regions created in a document by the edits made to the document. In operation, the respective region offset values associated with the dynamic regions can be used to negate or otherwise counteract the effect of edits made in the dynamic regions.
PHOTOELECTRIC SENSOR FOR SEED DISPENSING SYSTEM
A seed dispensing system is provided with a photoelectric sensor for monitoring the dispensing of seeds from a seed dispenser comprising a discharge conveyor with conveyor flights that transport seeds through the seed dispenser. The sensor outputs a signal representative of obstructions to the flow of light in an optical path of the sensor, and a computing unit is adapted to distinguish portions of the output signal that are attributable to the passage of one or more seeds from portions of the output signal that are attributable to the passage of a conveyor flight.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR ADJUSTING A SIGNAL FOR AN OBJECT DETECTOR
An object counting device adjusts a signal to account for noise to improve object counting accuracy. A controller receives an electromagnetic radiation (e.g., light) intensity signal from radiation detectors and determines that its value is within a voltage threshold, thereby indicating that no object is passing through the radiation. The controller determines a derivative of the signal and that the derivative is less than a derivative threshold level for at least a predefined time. The controller then updates a base noise floor value to be the value of the radiation intensity signal to account for particles within a path of the electromagnetic radiation to improve an object counting accuracy. In some embodiments, the processor can scale the received radiation intensity signal in accordance with the updated base noise floor value.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR VISION BASED COUNTING
Disclosed are image based counting systems and methods. Image based counting systems and methods employ one or more imaging devices (e.g., one or more color cameras) and one or more illumination devices (e.g., one or more illumination sources to provide variable and/or dynamic lighting). In some examples, the image based counting system provides illumination to a tray upon which one or more items (e.g., pills) are placed. The illuminated items are then imaged by the one or more imaging devices based on one or more imaging techniques or processes to determine and/or present information associated with one or more properties of the item.
Threshold-value detection device
A device has a latching mechanism including a catch element having at least two catches, and a pawl configured to engage in a catch interstice between two catches. The catch element is movable in relation to the pawl in a freewheeling direction, and a movement of the catch element in relation to the pawl in a blocking direction may be blocked by means of the pawl. The device further includes a deflectable actuator configured to move the catch element and the pawl relative to each other on a catch-by-catch basis in the freewheeling direction by means of deflection. According to the invention, the device also includes an electric component configured to change its electric property as a function of the catch-wise movement of the catch element in relation to the pawl.
