SYSTEM CONSISTING OF SPRING ADAPTER AND ORTHOPEDIC JOINT SYSTEM, AND SPRING ADAPTER
A spring adapter for arrangement on an orthopedic joint system is disclosed, where the orthopedic joint system includes an upper part and a lower part articulated thereto about a pivot axis. The joint system comprises a resistance element that exerts a resistive force on a pivoting movement about the pivot axis. The spring adapter comprises at least one pneumatic spring element, flexible spring element and/or torsion spring element and is tensioned when the upper part is pivoted relative to the lower part.
JOINT DEVICE
An electric prosthetic limb is provided with: a below-knee side member; an above-knee side member; a knee joint mechanism that connects the below-knee side member and the above-knee side member in a manner such that an angle formed therebetween is variable; and an extendable device that is capable of extending and contracting to change the angle formed between the below-knee side member and the above-knee side member. The extendable device is provided with a motor and a transmission transmitting power from the motor. The transmission is provided with: a first transmission mechanism that transmits the power from the motor at a first transmission gear ratio; and a second transmission mechanism that transmits the power from the motor at a second transmission gear ratio different from the first transmission gear ratio.
JOINT DEVICE
An electric prosthetic limb is provided with: a below-knee side member; an above-knee side member; a knee joint mechanism that connects the below-knee side member and the above-knee side member in a manner such that an angle formed therebetween is variable; and an extendable device that is capable of extending and contracting to change the angle formed between the below-knee side member and the above-knee side member. The extendable device is provided with a motor and a transmission transmitting power from the motor. The transmission is provided with: a first transmission mechanism that transmits the power from the motor at a first transmission gear ratio; and a second transmission mechanism that transmits the power from the motor at a second transmission gear ratio different from the first transmission gear ratio.

A multi-articulated link knee joint includes a thigh joint part provided on a thigh part side, a lower leg part rotatably connected to the thigh joint part via at least one rotation shaft, a cylinder fixed to the lower leg part and filled with a working fluid, a piston provided movably between a first cylinder wall of the lower leg part side and a second cylinder wall of the thigh joint part side in the cylinder, a piston rod extending from the piston toward the thigh joint part and penetrating the second cylinder wall, and a connecting rod that connects the piston rod to the thigh joint part. The connecting rod is connected to the piston rod at a connecting part that is separated by a predetermined distance or more from an upper end toward a lower end of the piston rod.

A multi-articulated link knee joint includes a thigh joint part provided on a thigh part side, a lower leg part rotatably connected to the thigh joint part via at least one rotation shaft, a cylinder fixed to the lower leg part and filled with a working fluid, a piston provided movably between a first cylinder wall of the lower leg part side and a second cylinder wall of the thigh joint part side in the cylinder, a piston rod extending from the piston toward the thigh joint part and penetrating the second cylinder wall, and a connecting rod that connects the piston rod to the thigh joint part. The cover element is pivotally mounted about a pivot axis on one prosthetic part, a component of a cosmetic prosthetic element, said component being secured to one prosthetic part or one joint part or the prosthetic joint and is coupled to the joint upper part of the prosthetic joint via at least one coupling element in a form- and/or force-fitting manner such that a pivotal movement of the prosthetic parts about the joint axis leads to a simultaneous pivotal movement of the cover element about the pivot axis.

A gait disorder support apparatus and gait disorder support method capable of detecting an onset sign of a gait disorder associated with motor symptoms in advance and performing motion assist are proposed. The onset sign of the gait disorder associated with the motor symptoms of a wearer is detected based on the correlation between a gait cycle and a reduction ratio of the gait cycle as compared to immediately preceding gait; and when the onset sign of the gait disorder is detected, a drive unit is controlled so that the drive unit applies assist power to a knee joint of the wearer; and on the other hand, when the onset sign of the gait disorder is not detected, the drive unit is controlled so that driving torque by the drive unit does not hinder the wearer's gait motion.
